บท 10: Source Energy

After what felt like hundreds if not thousands of years went by. Wo Shie began to wonder if he was trapped here of if he actually died after passing out. He then began to wonder how he was going to get back to the real world if he didn't die.

As soon as he thought about how to get back to the real world he appeared on the ground by the small river.

Suddenly feeling the grass beneath his feet and hearing the sounds of the river careening through the forest his mind was flooded with his last memories before he appearead in the seperate dimension.

Wo Shie looked around him and saw that it was daytime and the sun hung at its peak currently meaning it was sometime around midday.

He could feel the hot summer sun heating his skin up to the point it felt like a scorchung fire was ever so slightly scraping his skin. Birds and mythic beast could be seen in the distance along with the sounds of beast clashing likely over territory.

Wo Shie felt like there was a hole in the bottom of his stomach, he hadn't eaten in so long he first ran towards the small river and began to drink scoop after scoop of water.

After quenching his thirst he could see a mythic beast that looked like a combination of a bear and a wolf using it's paw to swiftly snatch fish out of the water.

He watched this for a good hour and then decided he'd give it a try. His first few try's were absolute failures. It seemed every time he put his hand in the water he'd disrupt the surface and the fish would scatter, this went on for another hour.

Finally in the second hour of trying he managed to get his hand on the fish only to find that they were too slippery for him to grasp. This left him feeling terrible thinking he might just die out here before he's even able to find civilization again.

What he didn't notice was now the bear wolf beast was watching him. The beast seemed amused seeing a small human child attempting to catch fish. The beast even showed signs of being surprised with widened eyes and an open mouth when he saw Wo Shie somehow manage to touch a fish.

After watching for a little while longer the bear threw 5 fishes that it had caught to the shore by where Wo Shie was attempting to catch fish.

Hearing the plopping sound on the shore behind him Wo Shie turned around and saw the fish flying and landing in a neat pile behind him he then looked towards the bear with a huge smile on his face and yelled "Thank you Mr. Bear."

Seeing this the bear let out a low roar that was similar to a human laugh and walked in the distance upstream towards a mountain.

Now that he had something to eat Wo Shie realized he didn't know how to cook or how to even start a fire. He also realized he didn't have anywhere to stay but in the open but remembering he could sleep in the dimension within himself he let his thoughts of shelter go.

'How am I supposed to cook these things.. I need to hurry up and find civilization, but wait there's no one to take care of me so I have to figure it out on my own even if I find civilization… Aiya why is my life like this!' Wo Shie started to question his life inwardly when he realized that he was a child alone in this world.

Now he only wished his mom were here so he didn't have to be alone. He grabbed the fish and went into his inner universe near the core hoping the energy of the core would cook them since it was a sun even though the flames and plasma around it were a little weird.

As he got nearer since it was his universe core he remained unaffected but the fish in his hands started heating up.

Once he felt like they were ready he sunk his teeth into the first one. It was kind of bland and tasteless but he could feel a comforting warmth encroach every corner of his body as his cultivation methods started to circulate without him even having to do anything.

What he was feeling was the source energy that the fish had absorbed strengthening and refining his body and his foundation. It should be known that if he didn't have the divine universe tree and his foundation wasn't broken by its roots he probably would have jumped a few small realms in cultivation from this bite alone.

Yet it was more beneficial that he was still effectively a cripple because of his foundation and this also allowed him to strengthen his natural mortal body so when he starts benefiting from his cultivation methods his gains will be even more than a person who had went straight into cultivation.

Wo Shie quickly ate the fish enjoying the feeling of the source energy wrapping his body like a gentle hug from the universe. After finishing he moved his body and clenched his hand feeling lighter and stronger than before.

'Hmm maybe even if I can't cultivate I can still train and get stronger' Wo Shie began to think about the possibilities of getting stronger cooking all the fish and eating them right away and running and climbing trees.

But he hurriedly put those thoughts to the back of his mind this one fish with filled with source energy would probably take his body a month to fully absorb it so he wouldn't even need to hunt or cook for this month he could focus on finding civilization.

Once he realized his body was still in the process of being nurtured by the source energy he decided to go to sleep and when he wakes he'll then look for civilization after giving the bear a fish filled with his source energy.
