บท 8: A better life in UK
A week after India got freedom from British, and drove away Portuguese and French colonisers too, a meeting was held between Spider-Man, the current Viceroy of India along with the political parties like Congress, Hindu Mahasabha, Muslim League, etc.
All political prisoners were released, and the major leaders of every party was brought to the meeting.
By now, Utkarsh has already decided on a pre-election cabinet and the political structure that he thinks will be the best.
"I will read out the pre-election cabinet that will handle the country until the WW2 ends. If anyone has any objections, note it down and we will discuss about them at the end of the meeting.
The position of Viceroy will be renamed as President. The President will be the head of the country.

As more and more names of ministers were being announced, some people were relieved, while others were not.
In the power structure, clearly Utkarsh and his wife Shreya held the most power.
Utkarsh has chosen himself to be the President and Foreign Affairs Minister, while given the position of Vice-President and Education Minister to his wife.
No one really had any objection at Subhash Chandra Bose, the creator of Indian National Army, handling the defence department.
One of the leaders of Congress, Sardar Patel is given the very important ministry of Home Affairs.
Some of close friends, or better to say, students of Utkarsh are also given various positions like Finance, Healthcare, City Planning and such.
Savarkar and Abdul Gaffar Khan (known as frontier Gandhi) has been given social reforms ministry.
"This is outrageous!"
Jinnah, the leader of Muslim League, which was in control of Bengal shouted.
Not even one person from Muslim League was given any position. Not even as assistants or vice.
While there are many muslims in the cabinet, besides Abdul Gaffar Khan, all of them are Utkarsh's students from the same village. Be it Finance, City Planning, or Agriculture.
But Jinnah has not been given any position.
"I said, note down your objections, and we will discuss them at the end of the meeting."
Utkarsh said in a commanding tone, and with the intensity of glare his wife was giving him, he started sweating and sat down.
"Alright. Now that the ministries are discussed, let's head to the next section of the meeting."
Utkarsh put up a map of Indian Subcontinent.
"All territories in British India, including Burma which was split off some years ago.
Those who want Pakistan, create it in UK. Not even one mm² of India's land will be given up to create a problem for the future generations.
Entire Muslim League, its supporters, and those who want a separate Muslim country, and are not happy about their Indian heritage, We will be happy to provide you ship tickets to UK.
I will not pursue you guys doing such monstrous, inhumane things when a part of India, Bengal is facing such famine."
"What do you mean-"
As Jinnah was going to yell, Utkarsh played a recording on a tape recorder.
It had a conversation between Churchill and Jinnah, where he was agreeing to Churchill's instructions for creating a puppet state for the British from India's land and people after the war ends. And using the famine to kill Hindu voters who had property.
Actually, Utkarsh found a mimickery talent in the neighboring village, and had him record the conversation to get 'evidence'.
He had prepared it even before he became Spider-Man.
And at the same time, this meeting was being conveyed to the whole country through radio.
"Everyone who wants to leave the country, leave. No one is stopping anyone. But, if anyone tries to use any sort of violence to have their way, be prepared for 100 times the violence you use to kill other people, to be used on you.
Gods won't forgive you if you try to use their names for your agenda.
And if you believe that your God will forgive you killing others, I will personally send you to your God so he can forgive you. The mortal world won't forgive you.
Does anybody has any objections?"
Utkarsh smiled at everyone, especially Jinnah.
He was too afraid to speak anything but "You-! You-! You-!" like a broken recorder.
For people like these, he will become Bully Maguire, but a hundred times worse.
"Then, the meeting is adjourned. Until the World War ends, there will be many outside forces trying to break India. As India's President, I am fully committed to protecting the country.
If the World War doesn't end by 1947, we will go ahead and hold elections with every adult voting instead of people with property.
From today onwards, all political parties are dissolved. Every candidate who participates in any election won't be able to ride the parties' influence and use their connections.
Each candidate will participate on their own, with a limited, same amount of money that will be pooled by all the candidates in an constituency to maintain fairness and equal opportunity.
If you have any grievances, please address them to the now President's house in a letter.
By 1947, the preparations for India's first free and fair election will be completed.
Gandhiji, do you have any issues with the dissolving of all political parties?"
"No. It's better this way."
Knowing Gandhi's ideology, he convinced the Congress party too that it is okay for the parties to be dissolved.
In War Emergency, protests are such are not allowed already. They won't be arrested, but they certainly will be disqualified from elections for causing chaos during a dangerous time.
After the meeting ended, a plane was ready to go to London.
The Muslim League 'willingly' left to UK for a better life, and the propaganda was being spread as such.
While welcoming Jew immigration because of their good business values, wealth, and nature, including the chance that Magneto may become an Indian citizen, and letting the community which is famous for creating divides go to UK for a better life, India was transitioning to a new period.
UK welcomed all refugees who were being shipped from India to UK to get soldiers for its war and create a diaspora to create problems for India in the future.
Since the demanders of Pakistan left for UK for a better life, the demand started dying down with such people leaving India in large numbers.
UK has a habit of providing asylum to criminals of other countries, so India respects their sovereign decision and will 'help' UK win the war against Nazis.
What happens after the war is their business. India doesn't interfere in the internal matters of a sovereign nation.
With relatively less riots than the original timeline, and both Spider-Man and Spider-Woman capturing the rioters themselves, some months passed and it was now March of 1945.
And a news was received.
