"Yes, just a second," Jonah said, as she quickly started flipping through her clipboard.
After a bit of pondering and flipping through the papers on her clipboard, Jonah finally pulled out a 'single' sheet of paper and handed it over to Claire.
Clair took the sheet and looked over it for just over two seconds.
"Uh, is this really the script?" Claire asked with a superconfused look.
"Yes, you haven't worked on low budget productions before, have you?" Jonah asked with a smile.
"I- I think I have-" Claire said with a hesitant pause.
"Nope, what you worked on were specially chosen mid to high budget productions." Jonah said with a pitying smile.
"Oh- but still! How can this even be called a script?" Claire said as she flipped the paper around, looking to see if there was anything on the other side.
"Well, that really is the script." Jonah said with a shrug.
Claire held the paper in front of me, for me to read what was on it.
"Maxx, do you consider this a script?" Claire said with a raised eyebrow.
Now, I didn't think scripts could get any worse than what I had worked with before.
How naive I was.

And that was it. Oh, and last time we had quite some space dedicated to how the set was to be laid out and how the cameras and mics were supposed to be placed, what else they could do, et cetera.
So this time, all we had for that set and stuff part was
< Room >
< Double Bed >
< Larger than human sized closet >
I love how they specifically mention the size of the closet they want.
Last time, it felt like the script was written by a 12 year old.
This time, however, it felt like they just shoved the genre into some algorithm and a computer just put that shit into lines.
"Isn't this? Like way shorter than before?" I asked Jonah.
"Your last video was almost a high low budget or low mid budget production, so obviously the writers wrote it better." Jonah explained, as if it was very reasonable.
But there was one huge flaw in her statement.
"Wrote it better? What kind of writers do you have? Don't tell me they are just apes locked in a room with some typewriters." I asked as with a raised eyebrow.
"Well-" Jonah said as she tried to defend but was cut off by Claire.
"I know right! or It might be an octopus holding pens with its tentacles." Claire said, agreeing with my stance on the skill of the writers.
"Oof, I get it alright. The guys working on the mid and low sections are not great, but there are reasons for that." Jonah said, finally agreeing with us.
I wanted to end that debate right there, but Claire wanted to take it a step further.
"And those reasons are?" Asked Claire with a smug face.
"Please, can we talk about this later? We have a shoot!" Jonah finally said, as her frustration broke through.
Psychologically, quite a lot of humans, even though if they know something is bad, will start defending that something if someone else criticizes that something. It's kind of like a defense mechanism.
"Fine." Claire said as she raised her hands in defeat.
"Hey uh, I have a doubt tho, previously I had two people who did my makeup, and I wasn't even introduced to them, now I get one person but I get to know her like I will work with her for a long time? It's a bit confusing." I asked, trying to clear my confusion about why I was even getting to know Claire.
"It's pretty simple, now that you have signed an official contract we want you to get familiar with a selected make-up artist who will look after your needs anytime you have a shoot, by knowing your make-up artist you can not only collect feedback about stuff like skincare routine and day-to-day light makeup, but you can also help the make-up artist by telling them how would you like your face, what make up works on you, what shades work on you stuff like that and over time having a single make-up artist looking after you is much better since they know what's the best for you." Jonah explained, as if she had 'memorized' this explanation.
"Okay, now tell him the real reason." Claire said with a grin.
Jonah looked away and spoke with blistering speed, "Last time the people who worked on you were trainees and interns, and we have only one make-up artist looking over 4 to 5 actors on a weekly basis for maximum efficiency."
"Not maximum efficiency in time, but finance." Claire explained further.
"Makes sense." I replied while nodding.
"Now, can we please get going?" Jonah pleaded.
We both agreed.
I thought we would have my makeup done in the dressing room itself, but Claire wanted to examine the set before doing my make up because, in her words.
"The color of the wall and the position and intensity of light needs different shades of make up, sometimes make up just fades because of the lights or the color of the light that gets reflected by the walls or other times, the make up can just look too much because of the lights that's why I need to know what I am working with."
I could imagine why Jonah didn't want Claire.
But when we reached the set, a girl with short blonde hair and a chest as flat as a washboard was getting her hair fixed in front of the set.
Teen porn. It was almost as if she was made for that role.
