The wind had become the orchestral conductor of the sea, sending waves into their crescendos' all through the ballad that was the night. All about us was the perfume of the salty water and the fine spray that came as boldly as any viola flurry. It was as if life herself had entered the water and the energy was so great that this great pulse came upward to form a steady rhythm. The orchestral wind, and the waves of the sea drifted us to the shore of Kuchiba island.
"Camellia, are you alright?" I questioned with a hard pounding heart as I rushed to Camellia. Her leg swelled and soared with pain after being bitten by a Shelder. Shellder is a black pearl-like Pokémon encased within a spiky, blue-violet bivalve shell. It has two round white eyes with tiny black pupils. Its enormously long red tongue is used to burrow itself into the sand to sleep overnight and also to lure and capture prey. The tongue protrudes even when its shell is closed and tugging it will cause the shell to pop open. Its soft and tender body is well-protected by its extremely durable shell, which is purported to be harder than diamonds and has historically been used by people to make shields. It can make pearls from accumulated sand, though it discards them as they are typically in its way.
"Riolu, use force palm on Shelder!" I instructed. Shelder's grip on Camellia's leg was too strong but Riolu was able to punch it off with his strong force palm.
The Shelder which bit Camellia's leg began to infuriate. His two cute eyes turned into feisty, menacing pupils as the tongue sticking out of his body suddenly started to develop a small icy shard. With his tongue, Shelder threw the ice shard directly at us.
"Riolu dodge Icicle spear then use Vacuum Wave!" Riolu ran towards Shelder while the shards charged towards him. His quick speed was able to outrun the shards as the wind started to gather on his harm.
<Shelder! Shel!>Shelder was blown back by Riolu's Vacuum Wave attack. Shelder gave me and Riolu a menacing look, for a moment we thought that the Pokemon was about to attack again, but suddenly Slowpoke's tail caught Shelder's attention.
"Um, I guess tails are more important than battling." I giggled and sighed while Shelder bit Slowpoke's tail.
"Camellia, how's your leg?" I questioned with worry and concern.
"It's fine. It's just a little swollen wound that's all." Camellia smiled with relief as she tried to stand up from the hot sands of Kuchiba island.
"Are you sure!?" Her body twirled and jerked as she stumbled back to the hot sand. The sand made her wound turn into a crimson flare. It burned her wound, and thus made her leg swollen.
"Here, let me help you." I smiled and knelt down. Riolu handed me my handkerchief from my wet and soggy bag. My things became soggy, especially my prize money.
"Ouch..." Camellia beamed with pain as I slowly placed the handkerchief on her wound.
"Still not used to it aren't you?" I giggled while aiding her leg.
"W...What do you mean?"
"The first time we met, it the cave. That was your reaction after placing my handkerchief on your wounded leg." I thought back to the memory I first had with Camellia back in preschool.
"Hee hee... I guess I never changed as well." Camellia giggled while watching me aid her wounded leg.
"All done! Your wound will be able to heal in no time!" I asserted with relief as I stood Camellia from the hot sand. Camellia is feeling much better presently, though she had a hard time walking around. She would lose balance over her legs at times, but she was able to grab hold of my shoulder.
"My Xtransciever isn't working!" Camellia beamed with frustration while trying to shake off the water which entered her watch. Contact and communication was minimal to none, since all our things got wet.
Me and Camellia stopped by on a small hollow under a wide tree. I started up a small campfire so that we could parch our soggy stuff. We watched the fire blaze beautifully while hoping for help to arrive.
Our rotom-phones were working perfectly, but still communication was made minimal due to the lack of signal and wifi. No towers, no cell service, and now nearby telecommunications services.
"I guess all we have to do now is to wait huh..." I uttered with boredom while staring at the fire. Me and Camellia leaned across the log as the fire dried our soggy items.
"I don't even know where Glade and Captain Smith are. My stuff is all soggy, even my immortal flower is wet. What if we get stranded here forever?" Camellia panicked and worried nervously while waiting for help to arrive.
"Don't worry. We still have supplies for the day. Food, water, and shelter." I consoled and comforted.
"It's all my fault. If I didn't suggest to find the best of the myth, then this shouldn't have happened. You could've been challenging Thalia by now, but look what I did? I prolonged things." Camellia uttered solemnly.
"Hey, it's no one's fault. We're going to get through this together!" I uttered with relief and certainty while cheering Camellia up.
"We're going to get through this together... We're going to get through this together..." My words suddenly echoed unto the mind of a bipedal, feline Pokémon with primarily yellow and black fur. The fur is thinner and black on its lower legs, lower body, upper arms, and face, and is thicker and yellow everywhere else. There is also a zigzagging black stripe on each thigh and two more stripes on each forearm. There are small tufts of light blue fur on its chest and a longer tuft on its forehead. It also has a single, lightning bolt-shaped blue whisker on each cheek. A long, ponytail-like or tail-like bunch of fur extends from between its shoulders. Zeraora, heard my voice. It was sleeping peacefully on its cave, and that's when it heard a human's cry.
Zeraora has large ears with black insides and blue eyes. Its forepaws have four clawed fingers and light blue pads, while its hind paws have only three clawed toes.
Zeraora lacks an electricity-generating organ, so it gathers and stores electricity from outside sources. This Pokémon can create a very powerful magnetic field through the strong electric currents emitted from its paw pads. Using this magnetic field allows it to levitate and move at high speeds while airborne. It can travel as fast as a lightning strike. Its fur is known to stand on end whenever it is using massive amounts of electricity. Zeraora can tear its opponents apart with it its high-voltage claws. Even if the opponent dodges, they still get electrocuted by the flying sparks. Lighting flashes and thunderclaps can occur when Zeraora starts running.
"Humans..." Zeraora stood up and growled loudly which was heard throughout the forest. Human skulls began to tremble due to Zeraora's loud cry.
There are hundreds of Zeraoras out there, but this one looks feisty. The Pokemons began to run away from the cave. Once the master is angry, no one should disturb him.
Hours later...
"Hey Camellia, I'm going to look for more twigs. Stay right here alright." The flame started to weaken, as the sun slowly sets.
"What!? I'll come with you. I don't want to stay here alone." Camellia neglected and shivered with fear.
"You have too, I'll be back quick. Critters and creepy crawlies might pilfer our items. Plus, your leg still needs to recover."
"But I'm eremophobic. Please just let me come."
"You have your Pokemons with you, don't worry, I'll be fine. Come on Riolu let's look for some sticks."
"Ok, but don't wander too far or you might get yourself into danger."
"Hehe, I laugh in the face of danger." I teased and walked out of the hollow tree.
On the other hand, the two professors got themselves lost. They forgot where they anchored their ship. "Great! Now we're stuck in this small cave." Indigo beamed with sarcasm while looking at the map of Kuchiba island.
"Sorry... it's all my fault. I shouldn't have suggested to go here."
"Bellice, you know I hate your attitude of blaming yourself. We're into this together, so do not worry. As long as we got each other, we're safe."
"Hey look at those flowers. They're all decayed, doesn't it rain here?" Bellice questioned as the black patch of decayed flowers outside the cave caught her eyes.
"I told you, the forecast predicted that there will be no rain for almost one whole year."
"But why? Even the soil seems dry. If things continue to persist, then... the whole region will suffer from drought." Professor Bellice warned while observing her surroundings.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
While gathering twigs and broken wooden branches with my buddy Riolu. I heard screams of an aching Pokemon from the distance. It was trying to call for help and assistance.
Thanks to Riolu's power to sense auras, we were able to find the aching Pokemon. It was under a critical state, its legs were bleeding heavily as scars filled its face. The Pokemon was somehow slashed by a knife or any blunt material.
It has a slender, canine appearance like that of a small reindeer. The fur on its back becomes a mohawk, and it has a red flower petal on the left side of its neck, resembling a scarf or cape. It has flat, white ears resembling wings, a small tuft of fur on the front of its neck, and a stumpy tail.
"Please... don't hurt me, I already had enough." The Pokemon spoke telepathically with a hoarse throat.
"I'm not here to hurt you. I'm here to help. Riolu, bring those twigs! We have to save this Pokemon right away." I beamed with concern and worry as I grabbed the Pokemon's body. Riolu gathered the twigs I picked up and followed my footsteps.
"Hang in there, I'm here to help you. Don't worry." I comforted while running back to the hollow tree. The Pokemon looked at me with teary eyes as they slowly closed.
"Camellia, we need a potion! Quick!" I rushed inside the hollow tree with worry as I placed the Pokemon on my blanket.
"Irys, scan the Pokemon's current condition please," I begged and pleaded while Camellia rushed to her bag and took her spare potions.
{Gzz... Gz... Shaymin! Sky Forme. A Grass type, also known as the gratitude Pokemon. The blooming of Gracidea flowers confers the power of flight upon it. Feelings of gratitude are the message it delivers.
This Shaymin is currently under a critical state. It was somehow wounded by either a Pokemon or a human. Still, I am confused about why Shaymin is on its Sky Forme at night. It should transform back to its Land Forme once the sun sets.}
"A Shaymin!?"
