Chapter 42: Viva Las Lapras

(After leaving Pummelo Island.)

(Mew and her friends are sailing across the ocean blue on Lapras' back to get back to Pallet Town in the Kanto Region.)

(Mew is once again polishing her Orange Island trophy and is very proud of herself and her Pokemon for their hard work and team work.)

Misty: "You really did a great job, Mew,"

(Misty says.)

Mew: "Thanks. Now that we got the trophy, I say we should start making our way to Pallet Town,"

(Mew says.)

(Then turns to Lapras.)

Mew: "Of course, I still haven't forgotten my promise to help you Lapras."

(Lapras let out a cry with glee.)

(Suddenly, Lapras senses something and lets out a squeal.)

(Then jerks the group aboard violently around, frightening everyone.)

(Soon, Lapras is swimming faster than ever before.)

(Mew calls out.)

Mew: "What's the matter? What's wrong, Lapras? Where are we going?"

(Lapras squeals with determination, as he continues to swim.)

(Everyone waits as Lapras continues to swim, and soon enough, they see more Lapras on the horizon.)

Mew: "Hey guys, look. It's a whole school of Lapras,"

(Mew says.)

(The Pokemon are amazed to see more.)

(Indeed, it's a School of Lapras swimming across the sea.)

(The group is amazed to see so many of them.)

(Tracey starts sketching the school.)

Tracey: "This is amazing! I've never seen so many Lapras together."

Misty: "I wonder if any of these Lapras know your Lapras, Mew,"

(Misty wonders.)

Mew: "Maybe,"

(Mew replies.)

(Then Mew remembers.)

Mew: "Hey guys, do you think this could be Lapras' school. The one he got separated from."

Tracey: "Hey, you know, you're right! This could be the school Lapras was separated from before we found him,"

(Tracey says.)

Tomo: "Well, looks like these might be friends of yours,"

(Tomo says.)

Mew: "Or even family,"

(Mew says.)

Jen: "What do you mean?"

(Jen asks.)

Mew: "Oh, you didn't know…"

(Mew says.)

[Flashback: The Day they meet Lapras]

(Mew then hurries to Lapras and kneels to it.)

Mew: "Are you okay, sweetie? Did those mean boys scare you?"

(The little Lapras nods its head in reply, nervously.)

(In truth, it doesn't know if it can trust humans, even if they defend it, but it notices the bad bruise on Mew's arm.)

(That made it remember that Mew saved it from being abused.)

(It then looks at Mew with some truth in her eyes.)

Mew: "Here little guy, maybe this can help you feel better,"

(Mew says, and presents a kind of medicine to Lapras.)

(Lapras is reluctant, but seeing Mew's kind smile, it decides to open its mouth.)

(Allowing Mew to spray a bit of the medicine in Lapras mouth, and it begins to eat it.)

(Mew then gently pets Lapras, calming it down a little, and begins to have more trust in Mew.)

[Flashback: The Pokemon Center]

(But Nurse Joy says.)

Nurse Joy: "But there is a problem. That Lapras is afraid of having any kind of contact with people at all. I only managed to treat it when Mew was close next to it."

Misty: "No wonder, after the way those guys on the beach were treating it,"

(Misty says.)

Tomo: "Yeah. Those guys are mean,"

(Tomo says.)

Tracey: "That's too bad, especially since it's just an infant,"

(Tracey says.)

(Mew then wonders.)

Mew: "I wonder why a baby Lapras was on the beach alone, and away from its pod."

The boy: "Well, big schools of Lapras pass by the island this time every year. This one must have gotten separated from its group, maybe during that last big storm we had,"

(The boy says.)

[Later:]

(Then Mew has an idea.)

Mew: "Hey, what do you say all of us try getting that Lapras back with its friends where it belongs?"

Misty: "Sounds great,"

(Misty agrees.)

Tracey: "Count me in!"

(Tracey says.)

Tomo: "Let's do this,"

(Tomo says.)

[Flashback: Mew's promise.]

(Mew then turns to Lapras.)

Mew: "Don't worry Lapras, my friends and I have a solution."

(Lapras perks up.)

Lapras: "Laap?" (Really?)

Mew: "Yeah. I've decided to compete in the Orange Island League and we'll be traveling all over the Orange Island. Maybe while we're traveling, we can find your pod and your mother. Since they travel and migrate, we might be able to meet up with them," Mew says.

(This makes Lapras have hope and begins to smile.)

(Then Mew asks.)

Mew: "What do you say, Lapras? You wanna go on the journey with us?"

(Lapras thinks about it a bit and soon answers with a nod.)

Mew: "Glad to have you on board. All we have to do is get you into that truck and get you to the ocean. Then we can begin traveling around Orange Island,"

(Mew says.)

[Flashback Ends:]

(Then Mew turns to Lapras.)

Mew: "Guess we're finally gonna meet your old friends, Lapras."

(Lapras lets out a squeal with a smile.)

(Then Lapras begins to swim towards the school of Lapras.)

(However, when they try to approach it, they just swim ahead after looking at it.)

Mew: "Huh?"

(Mew says, confused.)

Tomo: "They're ignoring us,"

(Tomo says, confused.)

(Lapras continues to follow the school and let out a cry, desperately calling out to them.)

(A light-colored Lapras responds, but another nudges it away.)

Misty: "What's wrong?"

(Misty asks.)

Jen: "I don't know,"

(Jen says confused.)

(Mew turns to Lapras.)

Mew: "Why would you go and turn your backs on a friend like that?!"

(Suddenly, one of them fires a Water Gun at them, causing them to stop in their tracks.)

Tracey: "Why are they attacking us? Lapras are supposed to be friendly and they hate to battle!"

(Tracey wonders.)

(The Lapras that has attacked them, open its mouth and let out mist.)

Tracey: "A Mist attack!"

(Tracey says.)

(As the mist thicks, Mew is able to notice.)

(the light blue Lapras is shedding tears from it eyes as it along with the rest of the school swim away.)

Misty: "They're gone,"

(Misty says.)

Tomo: "I don't get it,"

(Tomo says.)

(Mew continues to stare as she remembers seeing the light blue Lapras has shed tears.)

(Then, Lapras let out a sad cry as tears swell in his face.)

(Mew hugs Lapras and says.)

Mew: "It's okay, Lapras. It's okay. We'll find them."

(Lapras turns to Mew and gently nudges her head for reassurance.)

(Then Mew says in thought.)

Mew [in mind]: "I wonder why they refuse to get close to us."

(Later, Mew and the others arrive at the Pokemon Center on another island.)

(They quickly call Professor Oak and explain to him what has happened.)

Professor Oak: "Yes. That behavior is unusual. But I suspect those Lapras were reacting that way because they're afraid of humans,"

(Professor Oak says.)

Misty: "But what would make them so afraid of people?"

(Misty wonders.)

(Mew crosses her arms with a frown.)

Mew: "If I have to take a guess, I think humans have been attacking Lapras' school."

Professor Oak: "I have to agree. It could be that some humans have been attacking them,"

(Professor Oak replies.)

Jen: "Who would do something so mean?"

(Jen asks.)

Mew: "Yeah. Who would do something this terrible to the Lapras,"

(Mew says, having a frown on her face and her arms crossed.)

(Suddenly, someone says.)

???: "It's probably those Pokémon poaching pirates."

(Mew and the others turn to see Officer Jenny.)

Mew: "Officer Jenny!"

(Mew says, surprised.)

(Then Tomo asks.)

Tomo: "Did you say, pirates?"

Officer Jenny: "This island is supposed to be a Pokémon no-capture zone, but we've had reports that pirates have been poaching wild Pokémon just off shore,"

(Officer Jenny explains.)

Jen: "Pirates like Captain Hook?"

(Jen asks.)

Officer Jenny: "Yes, but we call the lead pirate, Captain Crook,"

(Officer Jenny says.)

Misty: "This is terrible!"

(Misty says.)

Mew: "This is horrible!"

(Mew says.)

Jen: "No wonder Lapras' school swims off on us,"

(Jen says.)

(Then Tomo says.)

Tomo: "I wouldn't be surprised if Team Rocket is involved."

Mew: "I wouldn't put it past them. This is exactly the kind of dirty, rotten scheme Team Rocket's always coming up with!"

(Mew says.)

(Pikachu and Eevee nod their heads. Even the other Pokemon agree.)

Officer Jenny: "So, tell me what you know about this Team Rocket trio,"

(Officer Jenny says.)

Mew: "Well, officer, all I know is that they're three of the sneakiest, snakiest, lyingest losers you'll ever meet!"

(Mew explains.)

(Suddenly, a familiar voice is heard from the treatment room.)

???: "Who are you calling "losers?!

???: "But she's got the rest right,"

(Another voice says.)

Mew: "They're here?"

(Mew asks, surprised.)

(Knowing who they are, Team Rocket performs their motto.)

Jessie: Prepare for trouble, assault and battery.

James: Make it double, but thanks for the flattery.

(The door opens to reveal Team Rocket is all bandaged up.)

(James and Meowth are in crutches while Jessie is in a wheelchair.)

Jessie: To protect the world from devastation.

James: To unite all people within our nation.

Jessie: To denounce the evils of truth and love.

James: To extend our reach to the stars above.

Jessie: Jessie!

James: James!

(Jessie removes her bandages and stands up.)

Jessie: Team Rocket, blast off at the speed of light!

(James does the same.)

James: Surrender now, you little twerp, or prepare to —aaaahhh!

(However, they both feel the pain from their bones before finishing the motto.)

Meowth: Dat's right!

(The group blink their eyes with confusion and surprise to see how much in pain they are.)

(Mew is the first to ask.)

Mew: "Team Rocket? What happened to you three?"

Tomo: "Yeah. You look like you got trampled by a Tauros Stampede,"

(Tomo says.)

Meowth: "Being trampled by Tauros might be better than what we've been through,"

(Meowth says, and feels the pain from his foot.)

Jen: "And you three haven't poached any Pokemon?"

(Jen asks.)

Jessie: "We really didn't poach anything,"

(Jessie says.)

James: "I don't even like poached eggs,"

(James says.)

Misty: "If you really are telling us the truth, that'd be a first,"

(Misty says.)

Jessie: "There's a first time for everything. And this time, we're the victims,"

(Jessie says.)

(Then James screams.)

James: "Those briny braggarts bombed our boat! Those seafaring scallywags smashed up our submarine!"

Jen: "Briny braggarts?"

(Jen says, confused.)

Tomo: 'Seafaring scallywags?"

(Tomo says, confused.)

Tracey: "What does that mean?"

(Tracey wonders.)

Mew: "Yeah. They way you talk, it sounds like you were attacked by pirates,"

(Mew says.)

Meowth: "That's exactly what happened,"

(Meowth answers.)

Meowth: "It's flashback time."

[Flashback:]

(A pirate ship ends up firing cannons and one of them sinks down in front of Team Rocket's submarine, blowing the whole thing sky high, and sends the three flying like rockets.)

(As they all scream.)

Team Rocket: "We're blasting out again!"

[Flashback Ends:]

Mew: "Well, I'm sorry you're hurt, but you can't say you didn't deserve it,"

(Mew says.)

(The Pokemon agrees.)

James: "You're right. We had it coming,"

(James says.)

Meowth: "Guess we are pretty crumby, ain't we?"

(Meowth says.)

(And with that, Jessie whacks both James and Meowth with a crutch.)

Jessie: "This is no joke! We're victims!"

(Jessie angrily says.)

(Officer Jenny steps forward and says.)

Officer Jenny: "In that case, you should come down to the station house and give me all the details."

(Team Rocket looks at Jenny with confused looks, and the offer adds.)

Officer Jenny: "And while we're at it, I'll check out your file."

(Hearing that, Team Rocket becomes chipper.)

(Jessie quickly says.)

Jessie: "All of a sudden, I feel much better."

James: "We'll be on our way, officer,"

(James says.)

Jessie: "Buh-bye,"

(Jessie says.)

(Then the three race out the window, to the shock of everyone.)

(James calls out.)

James: "Good luck catching those Pokémon pirates!"

Meowth: "Yeah! Say hello to da jolly roger for us!"

(Meowth calls out.)

Officer Jenny: "Hey, come back here!"

(Officer Jenny calls out and pursues them.)

(Mew and the others remain baffled and bewildered.)

Mew: "I hope they just keep going,"

(Mew says.)

Pikachu: "Pika" (Me too.)

(Pikachu says.)

Eevee: "Eevee," (Me three.)

(Eevee says.)

(Meanwhile, off the coast of the island, the light blue Lapras tries to approach the island, but the Lapras from earlier nudges it away, telling it not to go near.)

(Then inform the rest of the school that it's time to move on.)

(And so they do, reluctantly, the light blue Lapras join with the rest of the school.)

(But out at sea, a pirate ship sails along and the captain and crew spot the island Mew and the others are on.)

(and soon see the school of Lapras swimming away from it.)

(The pirate holding the telescope says.)

The pirate: "Lapras off the starboard bow! Looks like a school! They should be a nice catch, captain!"

(Soon, the captain at the wheel, known as Captain Crook appears.)

(He wears a blue bandana on his head, a red shirt, and brown vest, he also has a mustache and a goatee.)

(The pirate known as Captain Crook says.)

Captain Crook: "Alright, get the Pokéballs ready to fire! We'll launch our secret weapons, and do us a little Pokémon poaching!"

the pirate with the green shirt: "Aye-aye, sir!"

(the pirate with the green shirt says.)

(Meanwhile, Mew and the others are sailing on the sea.)

Mew: "If the currents go our way, we can catch up with those other Lapras!"

(Mew says.)

(Lapras calls out.)

Lapras: "Eeeee!" (Let's go!)

Tracey: "Yeah, but even if we do, Mew, how are we gonna convince them that we're their friends and not their enemies?"

(Tracey asks.)

Mew: "We just need to show them that we want to be friends and that we want to return Lapras to them. And we can explain to them about our adventures,"

(Mew says.)

Misty: "Good idea. We can talk to the Lapras,"

(Misty says.)

Tracey: "Yeah, Lapras are supposed to be really good at understanding human speech,"

(Tracey says.)

(Then Misty says.)

Misty: "Come on, Lapras, let's hurry!"

(Lapras agrees and swims forward.)

(Meanwhile, Captain Crook's ship approaches the school of Lapras with cannons primed and ready to fire.)

(Captain Crook calls out.)

Captain Crook: "Fire Pokéballs when ready, matey!"

The first mate: "Aye-aye, sir!"

(The first mate says.)

(With that, the cannon fires the Pokeballs.)

(From one of them, a Tentacruel comes out of the Pokeball.)

(Soon, more Tentacruel came out, and surrounded the school.)

(Captain Crook calls out.)

Captain Crook: "Now attack those Lapras wit' yer Poison Sting, ye no good, jelly-livered jellyfish!

(The Tentacruel then launches their attacks, but Lapras shoots their attacks down with Water Gun, giving the rest time to escape.)

(Captain Crook calls out.)

Captain Crook: "Don't let 'em get away!"

The first mate: "Aye-aye, sir!"

(The first mate says.)

(More Pokeballs fire from the cannon and more Tentacruel are released.)

(The school of Lapras tries to swim away, but more Tentacruel surrounds them.)

(Soon enough, Mew and the others swim on Lapras and reach the sight of the Lapras.)

(Pikachu calls out.)

Pikachu: "Pika? Pika Pika!" (Huh? Look over there!)

Mew: "Look, the Lapras are straight ahead!"

(Mew calls out.)

(The group soon spots Captain Crook's ship, firing on the Lapras.)

Jen: "What's going on?"

(Jen asks.)

Misty: "It's those pirates Officer Jenny told us about!"

(Misty says.)

(Tracey looks through his binoculars.)

Tracey: "But those aren't cannonballs, those are Tentacruel!"

(Mew brings out her Pokedex, and Dexter says.)

Mew: "Tentacruel, the Jellyfish Pokémon. A Water and Poison Type. Its potent poison stingers can quickly paralyze its victims."

Misty: "Those pirates are forcing the Tentacruel to bully the Lapras!"

(Misty says.)

Jen: "That's so mean!"

(Jen says, upset.)

(Tracey brings out his Pokeball.)

Tracey: "I think I better get Officer Jenny out here! Go!"

(Tracey throws his Pokeball and Marril comes out in the water.)

Marill: "Marill, Marril!" (Ready for action, Tracey!)

(Marill says.)

(Tracey turns to Smeargle and Stufful.)

Tracey: "Smeargle, Stufful, you two stay here."

(Smeargle and Stufful nod their heads.) Tracey dives down after.

Mew: "The rest of us will figure out some way to protect the Lapras while you're getting Officer Jenny!"

(Mew says.)

Misty: "Be careful. And hurry back, okay?"

(Misty says.)

Tracey: "Kay. Let's go, Marill!"

(Tracey says.)

Marill: "Marill!" (Let's go!)

(Marill says.)

(Then Tracey and Marill swim off to find officer Jenny.)

(Mew turns to Lapras.)

Mew: "Alright, Lapras, let's go! We got to save your family and friends!"

(Lapras lets out a cry and dashes forward to rescue the Lapras before it's too late.)

(Unknown to Mew and the others, Team Rocket follows behind in their sub.)

Jessie: "Keep pedaling! We've got to catch up with the twerps so we can have a ringside seat when those pirates wipe the docks with them!"

(Jessie says.)

Meowth: "I think you mean swab the deck."

(Meowth says.)

(Jessie then smacks Meowth with her hair, but James ducks in time.)

Jessie: "I'd just like to see them get stung by Tentacruel like we were and see how they like it!"

(Jessie says.)

James: "They'd be paralyzed and powerless,"

(James says.)

(Then Jessie says.)

Jessie: "Then we could just sail away with Pikachu and Eevee."

James: "Jessie, that's an absolutely fabulous idea!"

(James says, living the idea.)

Meowth: "Too bad she didn't have it,"

(Meowth says.)

Jessie: "What?!"

(Jessie shouts in rage.)

(James ducks as Jessie smacks Meowth with her hair again.)

(Up on the surface, the Tentacruel have the Lapras school surrounded as Captain Crook sails in.)

(Captain Crook laughs and says.)

Captain Crook: "Now we got 'em outnumbered! Poor devils. Alright, Poison Sting!"

(The Tentacruel stand, ready to fire. However, Mew and the others arrive to even the odds.)

(Mew turns to Eevee.)

Mew: "Alright Eevee, time to give them your Swift Attack!"

Eevee: "Eevee!" (You got it!)

(Eevee says.)

(Eevee then jumps up and attacks them with a Swift Attack, getting the Tentacruel's attention.)

(Team Rocket noticies.)

Jessie: "They drove the Tentacruel away!"

(Jessie says.)

(James cheers.)

James: "Hooray for the twerps!"

Meowth: "It's twoips 1, pirates nuttin'!"

(Meowth says.)

(Jessie then smacks both James and Meowth on the head.)

Jessie: "Don't root for them, root for us!"

James: "Sorry, it won't happen again,"

(James says in agony.)

(Meanwhile, the Tentacruel swims towards the group.)

(Soon, Captain Crook sails up next to the group.)

(Captain Crook shouts at them.)

Captain Crook: "How dare ye attack my Tentacruel!"

Mew: "We had to do something to protect those Lapras!"

(Mew shouts back.)

(All the Pokemon answer.)

All Pokemon: (That's right!)

Misty: "Just wait till Officer Jenny gets here to arrest you!"

(Misty says.)

Jen: "And take you to jail!"

(Jen adds.)

Captain Crook: "Ye pipsqueaks ain't gettin' around me poaching!"

(Captain Crook angrily says.)

Mew: "You should be ashamed of yourselves! Firing cannons and forcing Pokemon to attack the Lapras! What's more, you're attacking my Lapras' school! You're not going to get away with it!"

(Mew angrily says.)

(All the Pokemon cry out.)

All Pokemon: (Yeah!)

Captain Crook: "I'll show you not to mess with me,"

(Captain Crook angrily says.)

(Then commands.)

Captain Crook: "Light the cannons 'n fire when ready!"

The first mate: "Aye-aye! We'll send 'em all to Davy Jones' locker room!"

(The first mate says.)

(Soon, the pirates fire the cannons, and use real cannonballs.)

(Mew turns to Lapras.)

Mew: "Dodge em, Lapras!"

(Lapras swims around dodging the cannonballs.)

Mew: "If they keep shooting those cannons at us, we're in trouble,"

(Mew says.)

Misty: "They're not the only ones with big guns!"

(Misty says)

(Mew understands what Misty means.)

Mew: "Yeah."

(Then says.)

Mew: "Misty, you and Jen will join in the assault. Lapras, Tomo, and I will lead the Tentacruel away."

(Misty throws her Pokeball as she calls out.)

Misty: "Goldeen, Poliwag, Feebas, Tirtouga, Golduck, Psyduck. I choose you!"

(Jen calls out.)

Jen: "Overqwil, I choose you!"

(With that, all the Pokemon come out.)

(Mew calls out.)

Mew: "I choose you, Squirtle, Wartortle, Gyarados, Slowpoke."

(Tomo calls out.)

Tomo: "Staryu, Slowpoke, Barboach. Go!

(With that, Tomo and Mew's Pokemon come out.)

(Mew calls out.)

Mew: "Everyone, follow Misty's order to help stop that pirate ship!

(All the Pokemon agree and swim along with Misty and Jen.)

(Then Misty calls out.)

Misty: "Okay, use your Water Gun attacks!"

(Following Misty's orders, all the Pokemon fire their Water Gun and strike at the cannons and the mast, and put more holes in the hull of the ship.)

(Captain Crook shouts at them.)

Captain Crook: "Hey! Don't you attack my ship!"

(Squirtle, Goldeen, Staryu, and Poliwag spray Water Gun at the captain.)

(Knocking him across the deck of his ship.)

(Captain Crook quickly stands up.)

Captain Crook: "Quick! Return their fire!"

(But the first mate says.)

first mate: "We're all out of cannonballs."

Captain Crook: "Then we'll use a scuzzball!"

(Captain Crook says, and stuffs the first mate in the cannon.)

(Then shouts.)

Captain Crook: "Fire!"

(The captain kicks the cannon and it fires.)

(The first mate goes blasting into the water.)

(Just then, Psyduck swims up to the first mate and sprays it with Water Gun.)

(before Poliwag lifts him up and juggles him on a Water Gun.)

(Meanwhile, Mew, and the others try to distract the Tentacruel.)

Tomo: "Nah Nah Nah Nah Nah!"

(Tomo calls out.)

(The Pokemon call out and even perform raspberries with their tongues with Tomo.)

(However, the lead Tentacruel turns away.)

(Then Mew calls out.)

Mew: "Lapras, Water Gun the leader!"

(Lapras fires the Water Gun at the leader, getting the lead Tentacruel's attention in anger.)

(Then charges at the others.)

Mew: "Well, now that we got their attention, let's get out of here!"

(Mew says.)

(Lapras pulls a retreat, leading the Tentacruel away from the Lapras school.)

(Mew calls out to the Lapras.)

Mew: "We'll keep the Tentacruel busy so you Lapras can make your getaway!"

Tomo: "Get out of there while you have the chance!"

(Tomo calls out.)

(While the Lapras school discusses what has happened, the light blue Lapras watches Mew, Tomo and Lapras sail on.)

(Meanwhile the Tentacruel are getting close to Mew, Tomo and Lapras.)

(Mew calls out to Lapras.)

Mew: "Faster, Lapras!"

Tomo: "They're gaining on us!"

(Tomo adds.)

(Underneath Lapras, Team Rocket follows.)

Jessie: "Those Tentacruel are gonna catch up with them any second now,"

(Jessie says.)

James: "But, Jess,"

(James says.)

(Jessie asks.)

Jessie: "What is it? Can't you see I'm gloating?!'

James: "But.."

(James says.)

(But Jessie shouts.)

Jessie: "Just spit it out!

James: "If the Tentacruel are catching up with the kid, and we're behind him, won't they get to us first?"

(James replies.)

(Jessie, realizing that James may have a point, turns the periscope around to see the Tentacruel swimming right for them.)

(They hit the sub, and are sent blasting off.)

(Team Rocket screams.)

Team Rocket: "We're blasting off again!"

(Soon enough, the Tentacruel nearly surrounded Mew, Tomo, and Lapras.)

Mew: "Oh no!"

(Mew says, shocked.)

(Meanwhile, on the deck of the ship, Captain Crook and his crew are tied up.)

Misty: "You should all be ashamed of yourselves!"

(Misty sternly says.)

Jen: "Yeah! You guys are mean!"

(Jen says.)

(Just then, Staryu, Squirtle, and Wartortle spot something off the starboard side of the ship.)

(The girls arrive to see Mew, Tomo, and Lapras surrounded by the Tentacruel.)

Misty: "If you know what's good for you, call off your Tentacruel, right now!"

(Misty demands.)

Captain Crook: "Try and make me,"

(Captain Crook refuses.)

(Poliwag and Psyduck spray the captain with Water Gun.)

(Out on the water, the Tentacruel have the group surrounded.)

(They all begin to stand their ground.)

(Mew calls out.)

Mew: "Lapras, Water Gun attack!"

(Lapras fires the Water Gun at the Tentacruel.)

(Then Captain Crook calls out.)

Captain Crook: "Tentacruel, use Supersonic atta…"

Misty: "That's it!"

(Misty angrily says, and covers the captain's lips.)

Misty: "You're not giving orders anymore!"

(One of the Tentacruel starts using Supersonic, but the group on the water stand firm and try to withstand the attack.)

(Soon, more Tentacruel uses the Supersonic attacks.)

(Combining the same attack is making it harder for the group to withstand the attack.)

(Then the Lead Tentacruel begins to charge towards them with its pointy end.)

(However, at the last moment, an Ice Beam Attack has been fired out of nowhere, and strikes at the lead Tentacruel, freezing it in its tracks.)

(Then multiple Ice Beam attacks fire their attacks and freeze the Tentacruel in their tracks.)

(Mew and the others look to see what happened and turn around to see the Lapras School has saved them just in time.)

(The light blue Lapras swims up to Lapras.)

Tomo: "You came,"

(Tomo says, relieved.)

(Soon, Mew's Lapras and the light blue Lapras nuzzle one another.)

(With what she has remembered from before and now, Mew instantly realizes that the light blue Lapras is really Lapras' mom.)

(Mew smiles and says.)

Mew: "You sure do have a nice mom."

(Lapras lets out a cry of joy as he's finally reunited with his school and his family.)

(Later in the evening, Officer Jenny and the police arrive to take the pirates away, and even Team Rocket are tied up.)

(Misty, Tracey, Tomo and Jen are with Officer Jenny and ready to take the criminals away.)

(Jessie complains.)

Jessie: "Untie us! How can you lump us in with this with these scummy, scurvy scavengers?"

Meowth: "And to think, I rooted for you!"

(Meowth says, desperate.)

Misty: "That was very nice of you, Meowth,"

(Misty says.)

(James says.)

James: "I can testify to the fact that we were both rooting for you twerps!"

Meowth: "I'll testify, too!"

(Meowth says.)

(But Tracey says.)

Tracey: "Save it for the judge!"

Officer Jenny: "There are outstanding charges against you all,"

(Officer Jenny adds.)

Misty: "She's not talking about your credit card,"

(Misty confirms.)

(Jessie screams at Misty.)

Jessie: "Get away from me!"

(Then Misty approaches Tentacruel.)

Misty: "Now you're all free to go whenever and wherever you want."

(Tentacruel agrees with a nod and jumps overboard into the sea.)

(Now that the pirates are captured, the Tentacruel are free from being part of the gang.)

(Misty calls out.)

Misty: "Just make sure you don't get reeled in to doing the dirty work for another boatload of bandits!"

(Tomo and Jen call out.)

Tomo and Jen: "Bye!"

(Down on the water, Mew is talking with Lapras.)

(Mew rubs Lapras and says.)

Mew: "Be happy, Lapras, at least you won't have me on your back anymore."

(Lapras squeals slowly.)

Mew: "What was that?"

(Mew asks.)

(Suddenly, Lapras knocks Mew, Pikachu, and Eevee off and into the water.)

(Mew swims up and says in surprise.)

Mew: "Lapras!"

(Lapras nuzzles Mew.)

Mew: "I know you're only kidding around,"

(Mew says and laughs.)

(Then lapras licks Mew.)

(Mew calls out.)

Mew: "Alright! Alright! Come on, cut it out! Quit it, will ya?! Don't you think I'm wet enough already?!"

(Soon, the other Lapras call out to Mew's Lapras, telling him that it's time to leave.)

Mew: "They're waiting for you. It's time to go,"

(Mew says.)

(Lapras has tears in his eyes, Mew and Lapras think back on all the travels they have together throughout the Orange Islands, and all the fun they have, and how their friendship grew.)

(Mew giggles and says.)

Mew: "Get outta here."

(Lapras cries with a smile and dives in the water.)

Mew: "That was quick,"

(Mew replies.)

(Then Lapras resurfaces and lifts Mew, Pikachu, and Eevee up to climb back to the boat.)

(Mew and the others slide on to the deck on the police boat.)

Mew: "You're a real friend,"

(Mew says.)

Lapras: "Eeeeeeee," (You, too.)

(Lapras says.)

(Mew gives Lapras a thumbs up.)

Mew: "See ya."

(Lapras, teary-eyed, leaves the boat and reunites with his mom and his school.)

(Misty sees this and says.)

Misty: "I hate to see Lapras go, but it belongs with mom and all its friends."

(Soon, the school of Lapras departs.)

(Mew calls out.)

Mew: "I'm never gonna forget you, Lapras!

(Jen calls out.)

Jen: "Farewell, Lapras!"

Tomo: "Goodbye Lapras!"

(Tomo calls out.)

(Tracey calls out.)

Tracey: "Thanks for the ride through the Orange Islands, Lapras!"

Misty: "We love you!"

(Misty calls out.)

(Mew and her friends, and all the Pokemon say their farewells to Lapras as he and his school swim into the sunset, as Lapras leaps into the air as a final goodbye.)

(Lapras will never be forgotten by the friends who have cared for him so much.)
