บท 121: Notice To Explain

[Johan's POV]

There was something about the way Adrian's hand rested on his stomach; the way his lips pressed near his ear to whisper words in a soothing voice, or the way his warmth enveloped him with a tenderness that made him faltered, chipping away the defenses he's trying to build.

It's more terrifying than Russell's rough treatment.

Thankfully, the door to their Department opened and came in the man he wanted to bury in a pile of shit. Johan unlatched Adrian's hold and stood, pulling his composure back as the girls went back to their desks. "Diego. Where have you been? You've been gone for a while."

"Why? Can't I go on a vacation?" Diego asked instead, his scathing gaze moving across the entire room, then jeered. "Looks like my Department became more of a circus while I'm gone. I can hear your voices from the locker area. So unprofessional."

"And you are a professional?" Johan huffed with a roll of his eyes. "Hypocrite."
