บท 61: Pro Debut!!

*Fweeeeee!*

{The referee blows for the end of the first half here as Fulham are up 2:0 against their London rivals here at Stamford Bridge} The voice of Martin Tyler echoed throughout the stadium as the players made their way through the tunnel to their locker rooms.

A very frustrated Antonio Conte had left his technical area heading into the tunnel before the referee had even finished blowing his whistle. His mind was already working through the tactical changes that needed to be made. Chelsea had been caught off guard in the first half, but he was determined to turn the tide.

He knew they needed more creativity, flair, an x-factor, someone who could instantly change the game. In the dim light of the tunnel, he gestured to one of his assistants "Get Eden ready".

The assistant nodded and hurried off to inform Eden Hazard, who had been watching the first half from the bench. Conte was banking on Hazard's brilliance to spark a comeback. He had been resting the Belgian star for the latter stages of the season, but now, with their pride on the line, it was time to unleash him.

As Conte and his coaching staff disappeared into the home dressing room, the tension in the stadium hung in the air like a storm cloud. The Chelsea players and substitutes followed their manager, some with their heads down, others with determined looks. They knew the second half would be tough, and they would have to fight to reclaim the match.

On the other side of the tunnel, the Fulham players entered their dressing room, where the atmosphere was markedly different.

Coach Anderson stood at the front of the room, his face a mix of pride and focus.

"Well done, boys," he began, his voice cutting through the murmur of the players. "We've executed the game plan to perfection. But don't get comfortable. We know Chelsea will come out swinging in the second half, and we've got to be ready for that".

"We've done well so far," Anderson continued, "but we need to stay sharp. Keep pressing, keep moving the ball quickly, and stay disciplined at the back. They'll be looking for any mistake to capitalize on. Let's not give them that chance."

Marcus," Anderson began, his voice low but firm, as Marcus stopped drinking out of his water bottle, "You've been brilliant out there, but I need you to be aware of something. Chelsea won't give you the same space and time in the second half. They'll be closing you down faster, trying to disrupt your rhythm. Conte's going to make sure of that."

Marcus nodded his brow furrowing, "I figured as much, Coach. What should I do?". Anderson smiled slightly, impressed by Marcus's composure. "When they come at you hard, use that against them. Don't try to hold onto the ball too long—get your head up, make quick decisions, and keep it simple. Play one-touch football when you can; exploit it if you see an opening. But don't force it. Let the game come to you."

"So, keep it simple, but be ready to take my chances, is that it?" Marcus said absorbing his advice.

"Exactly," Anderson replied. "Also, look for Harvey and Andre. They know your game, and they'll be making those runs. If Chelsea pushes up, there'll be space in behind. You've got the pace and the vision to make something happen."

Marcus felt a surge of confidence at the coach's words. "Got it, Coach. I'll keep an eye out."

The halftime break seemed to pass in a blur. Before long, the players were back on their feet, ready to return to the pitch.

The Fulham players filed back out into the tunnel, the roar of the crowd growing louder with each step. As they emerged into the bright lights of the stadium, Marcus squinted against the glare, his focus narrowing to the task ahead.

On the opposite side, Chelsea's players were reemerging as well, with Hazard now among them. The sight of him sent a ripple of excitement through the Chelsea supporters, but Marcus blocked out the noise, focusing on his game plan.

{Welcome back, folks! The second half is about to kick off here at Stamford Bridge, and what a game we have on our hands! Fulham leading 2-0, and young Marcus has been a revelation, scoring a crucial goal in the first half. But Chelsea have made a big change—Eden Hazard has been brought on. You can sense the urgency now. Alan, what do you make of Conte's decision to bring on Hazard?}

{Well, Martin, it's no surprise really. Chelsea need someone to unlock this Fulham defense, and who better than Hazard? But let's not forget, this Fulham side has been resilient, especially with their young talents like Marcus, Harvey Elliott, and Ryan Sessegnon. It's going to be an intense second half.}

{Anderson's decision to start these youngsters has paid off so far, but now the pressure is really on. Can they hold on, or will Hazard make the difference?}

The referee took his position at the center of the pitch, glancing at both sides as they got into their formations. The anticipation was palpable, the tension electric.

With a sharp blast of the whistle, the second half was underway.
