บท 16: Chapter 16 - Yin Flame Pavillion
Yu Weiyuan, Lu Ai, Elder Liu Ning and Elder Xia Fang walked through the streets of the the Hidden Shadow Market, observing the many people crossing their paths.
From shady guys proposing deals, prostitutes selling their bodies, stall owners promoting their businesses, Yu Weiyuan and Lu Ai discovered all kinds of new people.
Even if they couldn't be said to be sheltered, both of them could still be said to be young, too young even. Even a Golden Core Realm cultivator possesses a lifespan of 500 years while someone at the Nascent Soul Realm could live up to 1 000 years.

Yu Weiyuan squinted his eyes, remembering the information about the sect. "Then let us go."

Lu Ai was spoiled by her father. While she did go out of the Sect two to three times, she had stayed in the bamboo hut she had made with her father most of the time, loving it there. Lu Yingjie indulged her because he was unwilling for his precious daughter to take risks outside as he could better protect her whike she stayed next to him.
Hence, she didn't really know much about the outside world, making her quite ashamed each time she tried to act mature before her little brother.
Yu Weiyuan smiled, amused by her antics. "The Yi Flame Pavillion is a sect where all disciples are exclusively females."
Lu Ai listened with eagerness, motionning him to continue talking.
"It is because of their main inheritance, the [Yin Flame Manual]." He continued.
Lu Ai curiously asked. "What does it do?."
"With the [Yin Flame Manual], their disciples can ignite their Primordial Yin to form a Yin Flame with which they can refine ghosts, resentment and baleful auras into Pure Yin Qi which will in turn nourish their bodies and make them more beautiful..."
From the beginning of times, human of both sexes possessed Yin and Yang energies flowing in equilibrium within their bodies.
Only their sexual energy remained different. Men's genitals are Pure Yang while women's are Pure Yin.
The Primordial Yin refers to the sexual Yin tied to a woman's virginity. It is stronger and purer. When her hymen breaks, the Primordial Yin of a woman dissipates.
Meanwhile, Lu Ai hanged on the words 'make them more beautiful' as she reacted enviously: "This is absolutely amazing!"
But Yu Weiyuan shook his head.
"No. This technique is one of the cruelest to their users in the Crouching Dragon Domain."

While she was greedy for more beauty, she was already recognized as one of the Four Heavenly Beauties of the Crouching Dragon Domain, and that was despite only exiting the sect two to three times. "What else?" She asked without much eagerness left.
"While the cultivation through the Yin Flame is not as reliant on the grade of Spiritual Root, its ignition is risky and if one fails, the Primordial Yin will disperse in the body, crippling their Spiritual Root and their womb still." Yu Weiyuan answered. "After the crippling, the remaining energy from the Primordial Yin will remain stagnant within the failed disciples' bodies."
Lu Ai tilted her head in confusion. "How is that relevant?"
"Such failed disciples with potent Yin Energy make perfect cultivation cauldrons." answered Elder Liu Ning this time, a small ripple disturbing the eyes which were like calm lakes before.
After all, a cauldron was considered as nothing more but a walking cultivation pill or resource.
Because through dual cultivation a man could plunder a woman's Yin to supplement his Yang and vice-versa.
A cauldron was nothing but a fancy name for a slave used as a sacrifice to further the cultivation of their master.
"The Yin Flame Pavillion kidnaps young girls of ages between 3 and 12 years old within mortal cities." Continued Elder Liu Ning. "But only the girls who manage to ignite their Yin Flames are considered true disciples of the Sect. Each of them will be adopted by one of the Pavillion Elders and can now truly be called a Daughter of the Yin Flame Pavillion."
"As for the girls who failed, they will either work as servants, sell their bodies and arts in brothels or for the unluckiest ones, be sold as cauldrons."
Lu Ai widened her eyes in horror and felt she was lucky to be born a disciple to the Profound Heaven Sect. Such malicious practices were completely unknown to her.
But Yu Weiyuan interrupted her reverie. "Don't think the Profound Heaven Sect is free of such things."
"Every single existing sect has taken at least half a step into evil to further their interests."
"We are the same."
"If we were truly righteous, would we even go to discuss an alliance with the Yin Flame Pavillion?"

Fifth_Daoist Hellooooo Readers!!! This is the author, delivering a very important chapter describing one of the most important forces in the early to middle stages of the story as a whole. Hope you'll like it.
