บท 199: What We All Knew  

"Ariel." The way Pure had said my name stretched the five letters out into almost three different words. Ar-i-el… Just the way he said it with his growly voice made me freeze.

Straightening up to my full height, I watched the predator bearing down on me with trepidation.

I had no idea what I had done, but clearly it was bad.

"Yes?" I asked, never taking my eyes off my mate.

"I think you have some explaining to do," he grunted before turning his attention to Ba'dqeel. "Return the sword to where it was before."

Usually, Ba'dqeel was not the type of male to take orders from others, but clearly, today was the exception to his rule. Not bothering to ask any questions, the male sheathed the sword in the rock again and then tried to pull it out.
