บท 179: What Have They Ever Done For You?  

Ma'stbaut's eyes narrowed as he watched ten males silently enter his mate's bedroom. It took everything inside of him not to move, not to kill them all, for even thinking that she was an easy target. He could taste their blood in his mouth as he ripped them apart.

But that wasn't part of Ariel's plan, and he would always follow the wishes of his female. Engaging his camouflage, he continued to watch from his perch from the ceiling. Not a single male looked around, or up for that matter.

No, all their attention was on Ariel's helpless form on the bed.

She was fully dressed but had kicked the light cover down to the bottom of the bed as she sprawled out on it. Her arms were over the top of her head as she slept soundly. One leg was bent at the knee, and the other was stretched out.

Clearly, Pure and He'dtaalh had worn her out, but she still had a slight smile on her face, even in the midst of all the danger around her.
