Ba'dqeel didn't bother to answer his brother as the other male continued to needle him. The Rein was taking great pleasure trying to tear Ba'dqeel apart, but it was like watching a Chihuahua barking at a Great Dane.
There was no need for the Great Dane to respond because it didn't put the Chihuahua in its eyes.
However, the tension in the room was getting ramped up, and it was causing my stomach to churn as a result. If Ba'dqeel was ice, then the Rein was pure fire, and I was a bit worried about how unpredictable he could be when provoked.
I comforted myself that Ba'dqeel knew his brother better than anyone else, but that still didn't help my stress levels.
