บท 214: Didn’t See You There  

It seemed to be only a matter of minutes before we were landing again. Looking out the window, I ignored the tension inside the runner.

I don't know what I was expecting, but to touch down in the middle of what looked like a transit bay was not it. Other runners, both bigger and smaller than ours, were taking off and landing around us like a free-for-all parking lot.

In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if the big red and silver signs were pointing the way to different tourist destinations or telling people where they could and could not park. It was kind of how I had pictured Disneyland… not that I had ever gone.

"This is where we're landing?" I asked, watching a male Nycteromyian in what looked to be a business suit emerge from his personal transport. His comms were open in front of him as he yelled at whoever was on the other line.
