A fight on Red sandstone walls, bodies are strewn about.
Bodies of already slain foes felled once more.
A fight on walls of white, dripping blood, I hear horns in the background.
Cries of Death that lead a charge of salvation.
Suits of armor empty and walking.
Blue lightning rushes around.
Wars echoes surround a palace.
Souls that beg for the release of years-long pass.
Surrounded by a third emptiness, we venture forth, and space is filled with something living.
Metal against flesh.
The attack on allies ignored
Red and Blue clash; Green looks on.
"Grow back your leg, Demi-God."
I smell flesh roasting in burning air.
Cries for help as heat blasts my face
I watch two gods rend the sky.
"I'M NOT A GIRL"
"Don't worry; you can blend in!"
"Black Lancer Technique: REDITUS!"
"Undetriginta spiritus lucis. Sagitta Magica, Series Lucis!"
A battle hungry man in a floral shirt
A lonely woman with dusky pink hair
Out of a large magic circle stepped a lar-
"Hey, don't you think it's about time to wake up?" A large multitude of overlapping voices said, waking me from my dream. "I've been waiting for a long time now. This is a once-in-a-lifetime deal I'm offering, hehe."
I tried opening my eyes, but it felt like they were sewn shut. I couldn't even crack them.
It didn't even feel like I was in the same bed I had been trapped in for the past fourteen years.
'This... isn't my home? They would never let me out of bed.'
'My arms won' move either? What happened?'
I felt a warm, gentle pressure that was being evenly applied on all sides of me. Wondering if I had died, I couldn't help but feel relief and a building amount of apprehension. If this was all I had to look forward to for eternity, wouldn't I go crazy?
"Yep, sure would. Thankfully, that won't happen, but I need you to look around." Said the choir of voices
'How do I? I can't open my eyes.'
"Ahhhh, you're kinda dumb, aren't you... Just believe that you can see, and don't worry about opening your eyes."
'The power of belief? Sounds a bit far-fetched.'
The chorus of voices started laughing. "Arent you in an unbelievable situation? Try before I take my time elsewhere. While you are interesting, you aren't the only interesting one."
Feeling the warmth around me drain, I decided it was my best interest to give it a shot. With all my being or what was left, I didn't want to spend eternity going crazy. Imaging myself seeing everything around me, I was taken aback by the sudden flare of the multitude of lights.
It seems as if I am in space, but I never knew space had so many colors.
"Hmmm, space does indeed have a lot of colors, but they are magnified here. Everything is amplified in this sub-space so I can observe and do my duties as rulers of this Hyperverse."
'Hyperverse?' I wondered, I knew multiverse from some comics and stuff, but I hadn't heard of a hyperverse.
"Yeah, so there are a shit ton of -Verses, but the Omniverses tops them off, and simply the Hyperverse is right below it, and the Multiverse is three below Hyperverse. So I am in charge of a lot of stuff; in fact, I would say an overabundance of space and domains, which is why I brought you here. I want a helper, or to be more accurate, I need a fellow god." The 'Deity' finished and observed the boy for a while.
'So, essentially, you have too many jobs?'
"Yeah."
'And is that why you are so ugly?' I asked, noting the weird amalgamation of strange appendages and items that seemed to flow in and out of his body while simultaneously managing to keep a somewhat round shape.
With a sound like thousands of nails across a chalkboard, "YES, it is awful, I know! Don't look at me; I'm revolting! I'm always stressed and can't watch everything at once, and there is too much to do." The voices started whining
'Shouldn't you already have other gods with you by now?'
"No, this -Verse is really new. Around twenty thousand years old, or something like that. Someone in an older -Verse well fucked up and created this new Hyperverse by creating a major fuck up with complex Multiverse level magic that somehow duplicated an existing multiverse. Or some Hyperverse level fights were going on, and they tried to rewind and messed up. Anyway, Gramps put me in charge here, but no one has ascended to the level of being 'Here.' So it's just been me, and that's why I need you to get strong and maybe find some others to get strong, too haha! Doesn't that sound awesome!? If I had enough time, I could implement a karma system and make things automated. For instance, you wouldn't have been trapped in that bed for so long, maybe." He educates me while not forgetting to add his sales pitch."It can be enjoyable and exciting too, and I will even let you pick what god you want to be off and let you roam around as long as you do your duties." He egged on; I guess he can see through my hesitation.
Well, I didn't have much. I did want to travel and stuff, but how do I become a god? Does he make me one?
"Well, no. It is a process you have to do, but I can help you along with it. Either you are born one, or you have to go through enlightenment. Which is just a spiritual way of saying, adventure."
'That sounds dangerous.'
"Not at all. If you accept, there will be someone traveling with you. They will help you on the off chance you need it."
'So no danger?'
"Nah, I'll be sending you to different worlds where I know some of the gods. The first world used to have powerful people, but most of them are dead now, but the god there is around Multiversal, but things are a bit different in this Hyperverse than in the original. That's why you'll have the traveling buddy, just in case. Sound good?"
'Well, I guess. How long will this take?'
"That's up to you, but to me, it'll be like a blink of an eye."
'Alright, I'll do it, but what if that other person and I get separated? Wouldn't I be in danger?'
"I guess that could happen. I'll bestow a few boosters to get the ball rolling, but nothing too strong. If I put a portion of my essence was into the cornerstone of your future abilities, you wouldn't be as perfect or concentrated." The Voices said with while a momentary face of a wise older man popped up. Looking as if each wrinkled on its face had been aged since time beginning, it stared at me with eyes that were barely noticeable since the lids drooped so low, but what was seen held such power, you could see black lightning flicker through them. And just as quickly as it had appeared was the face gone.
'You should word your explanation better; sounds gross when you talk about your essence.' I said, 'Before we continue, why did you bring my soul here? I just stayed in my bed and looked out a window when I wasn't on my laptop.'
I looked around at the beautiful scenery again as I heard the voices -hmmm, as they thought. I guess it was complicated, or they were trying not to divulge too much info. I had read that deities were fickle about manipulating people.
"Well, to be clear, I'm not manipulating you. I'm thinking of how to word it best, and only some information would matter to you right now while the rest you could only act on later. You see, only certain souls are dense enough to withstand all the concepts and forces of- that will be tied to them as they ascend through the various levels of godhood. Concepts are close to what you know as laws and forces of- are like Mana, the Force, Ki, and Chakra. Stuff like that." He talked as two tentacle-like appendages appeared at the side of his body and moved like hands when he spoke, but they were made up of what looked like junk.
With a vaguely sympathetic expression."You have a soul that was dense from the time of your birth, which means either you were ordained by the fate of that planet to transcend, or your mother was already transcended. And it was definitely the latter, too bad someone took your body and put your soul in a homunculus; the shell couldn't stand the weight of your soul."
'Wait, so someone took me from my mom?' I thought out loud.
"Yeah."
'Can you tell me who my mom is? And who took me? And why?'
"I could, but I won't for now. If you were to go there, you might die, and that wouldn't help anyone. Not you, not me, and not your mom. So why don't you get stronger, and when you edge into the cusp of godhood, I will tell you."
I'm sure my face would scrunch up, but I'm not sure if I had one right now. 'I thought you said it wouldn't be dangerous?'
"Yeah, where I send you. I wasn't going to send you there, and they have many mysterious moves for people of their strength. Kinda stupid, honestly."
'...I guess that makes some kind of sense, and I would like a peaceful journey anyway. Nice and relaxing sounds like my kind of thing, somewhere I can just feel the grass between my toes. I have always wanted to feel the grass bathing under the mild rays of the sun.'
"...Yeah, I think I can guess what Aspect you'll be going for. Anyway, I'll gift you a copy of memories from one of my favorite guys of all time. That guy knew how to make me laugh and how to fight! But I'm just gifting the part about the styles he trained in and the style he made later on. You'll understand when you start your adventure in your proper body." The Voices chuckled while talking about that guy.
'My proper body, huh? What happened to my old real body? The one that was stolen by whoever took me?' I asked, hoping for a little vindication.
"HA! Don't worry, they are getting their karma and probably more in the future when you get strong enough. They were using your body for a lot of things, it would take too long to talk about, and you need to start your journey. Things will be more clear in time, though that gets very relative at higher levels." I could hear the amusement in the voices as a little seed of light floated towards me before melting into what I assume is my soul. "I'll send a small gift so we can keep in contact."
With that pathetic farewell, I was sent hurtling back into full darkness that seemed to be gripping me. It wasn't long before I fell asleep.

Don't hassle me too much about the next world. I'm doing a lot of research and adding in a portion that was never really expanded upon. So it is kind of like making sure everything I fit in there can be cannon while still being new. If I mess up on something that is canon, let me know in the comments; depending on if it fits the story better or not, I'll change it. See you guys soon.
