"So yeah you need to be my plus one." He sighed over the phone. Man, I wish his dad wasn't so hard on him. "Can we still invite Maisie? Just even to eat with us?" I love Maisie. She's really dear to me since she is dear to Axell. In my opinion, she's the most suitable partner for Axell since she's the only well behaved girl I know who doesn't hang with him for money. If there's anything I hate, and I don't believe in hate, it's gold diggers. "No... I'm afraid he'd still fire her..." I gasp in disbelief. "Shame!" What an awful person. "Let's just pick up something for her after the event. I'm thinking scented candles." I know she doesn't even know she was invited by Axell in the first place but that doesn't mean we shouldn't do something. Especially Axell. If he's pursuing her then he should get her something after failing to get her to attend the banquet. "Ah crud. What do girls like?" I think I heard him facepalm himself. "Depends on the girl." I say plainly. "Not helpful." I laugh at his reaction. "Alright, alright. Maisie doesn't seem to be picky with gifts. She's pretty grateful for anything, actually." I remember I got her a simple friendship bracelet and she was so happy. Now we wear matching bracelets. "How do I not know this?"
"Tsk tsk. You're a disappointment." I shake my head in disappointment. "So what should I get her?" Does this guy completely have no sense. "My dear friend, this is my last hint. The thought is what matters." I then drop the call to make matters worse for him.
Mwahahahaha! This should torture him.
"I heard that is the worst advice to give to someone cause it tends to pressure them." I hear my boyfriend chuckle. "I know." I walk over to him and hug him tightly. "How was your trip?" Gosh he smells so damn good. Nothing beats a man who smells amazing. "I missed you so much." He drops his bags and plays with my hair. Hehe he's the cutest. We've been dating for six years now. He's my high school sweetheart. "I missed you too." He pulled away and took out a little box from his pocket.
"I got you a little something." I smile from ear to ear. "You didn't have to!" I tell him. Man, he's cute. "I wanted to. Besides, you love the idea of matching jewelries, right?" He opened the box to reveal a bracelet with a lock on it and a necklace with a key pendant.

"This goes so well for us because I like necklaces and you like chain bracelets!" I hug him tightly in joy. This is a wonderful surprise! "This is already fashionable proof that only you have the key to my body, my heart, basically my entire being!" He chuckles and makes me turn around so he can put the necklace on me. "Pff fashionable." I laugh at his earlier statement. What a dork. I turn around to face him. "Now help me put mine on." I inserted the key to unlock the bracelet and let him put it on his wrist so I could lock it back. "There we go. Cute, ain't it?" He hugs me and kisses my head. "Sure is." I smile.
I hope someday Axell and Maisie would get to do this too.
