"Huh?" Frozen in his seat, Rizz stammered at the kowtowing chief. 

"Father!" Kerl's chair nearly fell over as he rushed to join the bow. "Please, Master Rizzio, give aid to our injured kin. That is our greatest wish. We will pay you for the services–"

The chief cut his son off, keeping his head down. "We deerkin do not own much and we live a simple life. But we will do whatever we can to reimburse you for your aiding efforts, Master Rizzio. Even if it's at the cost of my life–"

"FATHER!"

Kerl and Gillee shouted in unison to stop the old man from saying anything more. 

Meanwhile, Rizz scratched his head in confusion. "You know… I'm kinda weaker than you guys. Like way weaker. You know that, yet you're not just capturing me. Why's that?"
