บท 128: Mentally exhausted Nyx.

"Aunt, from the information that we have gathered Lyle has already started to plot against me. Rumours are circulating about me in the Prince family and the Prince Industries. He is painting me black and blue, sooner or later I will lose my footing. The advantage that I have because of my parents and years of your hard work will go down the drain if we don't do anything soon! But everything aside from the pace that he is going, we still have enough time for us in the Prince family. Then again, Prince Industries is slipping away from my hands sooner than I have expected to be! Last time he planned a trap for me in the Prince industries. It was a well-thought plot against me." Nyx said taking her shirt off.

She is almost naked, wearing only a light blue laced panty and matching bra.

Nyx was in a face to face video call with her Aunt Cassandra.

Watching Nyx taking her clothes off, Cassandra sighed.

Her niece has a weird habit of sleeping without clothes and wear little to no clothes when she is alone.

At first, it made her feel embarrassed but later Cassandra got used to it.

"My head hurts thinking all about the Prince family and the Prince Industries!" Sighed Nyx.

"I'm dancing in his palm, Aunt Cassie! If I had succeeded and took control of the Prince Industries, then all the misconduct and illegal activities that Lyle had going all these years would have fallen on my shoulders. His trap was to make me a scapegoat for his frauds. He gave me no choice but to retreat! That also was a win for him, as he painted me as someone incompetent and too young to shoulder such heavy responsibilities. I had no choice but to make a lousy excuse, telling everyone that I want to finish my high school in peace first before I succeed and take my responsibilities as the rightful heiress to the Prince Industries!" Nyx clenched her hands in anger thinking about the rumours and what Lyle made her go through all these months.

Seeing her niece seething in anger, Cassandra felt apologetic to Nyx.

"I'm sorry Nyx, at this age instead of plotting and scheming; shouldering such burdens in your shoulder you should've lived your youth like any other normal teenagers. You should've-"

Nyx interrupted Cassandra midsentence.

"No, Aunt Cassie! I'm a Prince, I never had the right to live my life as a normal teen. As a person from the 23 Sacred noble clans and families, it is a curse to us. Many might think of, how fortunate it is to be a part of the Sacred noble clans and families. But it is nothing but a curse that forces you to survive a cruel and harsh world of survival of the fittest."

"Let's return to our main topic. Aunt, you said you want to tell me something important? What is it?"

Nodding, Cassandra replied.

"Lyle is preventing me from buying more shares from others. He is either threatening them to not sell me those shares or buying those shares for himself."

Nyx furrowed her brows hearing Cassandra.

"That was expected but not this soon. I believe there might be a spy among your men, Aunt!" Nyx said after thinking for a while.

"I also think the same. How about in your end?" Cassandra asked.

"I have already blackmailed and threatened all of them to give me their shares. So if it's like this then we need to think of some other ways to get more shares and also find more evidence against Lyle. If we can expose Lyle's illegal activities and wrongdoings with enough proof to the public then it will be easy for us to take over the Prince Industries." Said Nyx before falling into deep thought.

Thinking for a while Nyx formed a plan.

"There are large sums of money coming in and going out of the company with some regularity. So Lyle has control over the money and the staff who handles them. Lyle can also ensure his separate account is undetected. Hmm, it will not be easy but it's a viable plan I think." Said Nyx after finished thinking.

"What is it?" Asked Cassandra curious about Nyx's plan.

Nyx then told her plan to Cassandra.

Hearing the plan Cassandra was impressed by Nyx.

"We should put together two teams for this plan. A small team of trusted individuals from my side and one from your side, Aunt! We still haven't figured out who is the spy among your team, so we need to quickly figure out who he is and eliminate him or her as soon as possible. There might be multiple spies that's why we need two teams instead of one. We also don't have many of our people inside Prince Industries!"

"Your team even if they give out the information to Lyle, we can control the information Lyle receives from the spies. Both teams will share information on a need to know basis. They will keep notes about everything."

"We will make a discreet review of records that will confirm and refute our suspicions. We need to look for evidence among financial, payrolls and personal records. We need to find witnesses and make a list of potential witnesses."

"There are many things that we need to do to expose Lyle's true colours to the public!"

Cassandra nodded hearing Nyx.

Suddenly, she remembers something and asked Nyx about it.

"Nyx, people from the Grace family visited me today. They asked me to convince you to release Julian from your care. They first visited Julian but he refused to go back to the Grace family. Have you heard anything about it?"

Hearing that the Grace family asked for Julian made Nyx frown.

"No, I have not heard anything about it nor has Julian told me anything about it. It seems like I have to talk to him for further information about this!"

"Aunt, do you know any more information regarding the Grace family?"

"No, I do not. All the information I have about them are what is made public by them and what your mother has talked to me about them."

"Your mother held a prestigious position in the Grace family but I do not know what kind of status she had." Shaking her head, Cassandra said remembering this information. She has already told everything regarding Rose to Nyx in the past.

"I see, Rodney has told me something similar. In the past, I did not know the importance of the ring that my mother left me with but Rodney has told me something regarding the ring. It's a ring called 'The Noble rule of Grace'. The only thing Rodney told me about is that the ring holds a special degree of importance to the Grace family. But how important it is? He didn't tell me about that. He said I must find the answer myself as I'm the current holder of this ring. He also said I must go through a proper trial of legitimacy? If I were to inherit what my mother left me and I will only have one chance to do so. This ring also has ties to the Aurier family too!"

"That is very concerning! I will try to find any information regarding the Aurier and the Grace family, also I will try to find more information about the ring as well."

Nyx and Cassandra talked for an hour more before they said good night to each other and finished their meeting.

Nyx closing her laptop yawned, she felt tired and sleepy.

Getting up from the chair, Nyx quickly stripped bare before jumping to her bed.

Soon, she fell asleep thinking about what food to eat for lunch tomorrow because without a doubt she will sleep till noon.
