บท 18: Chapter 17

At the end of the day's classes Eita was gathering his things until Masuzu approached him.

"Eita are we going home together?" asked Masuzu with her hands behind her back acting tender.

"Sure in fact, I was thinking that it's been several days since we've left together" Eita replied.

Masuzu remembered that all these days she was the one running away immediately after the bell rang because of how embarrassed she was by Eita's constant teasing, even today he had teased her, but remembering her goal Masuzu swallowed her embarrassment and decided to invite Eita.

Outside the school Eita and Masuzu walked silently side by side, their hands colliding several times, but Eita was still not taking the initiative, he guessed that Masuzu's plan was to go holding hands, but for some reason she was acting more shy than usual and Eita was having fun watching her attempts at flirting.

As they continued their little battle a new opponent arrived. Chiwa appeared out of nowhere as if she was waiting for the moment Eita passed by to act.

"E-kun, what a coincidence to meet here, but since we did why don't we go home together" Chiwa proposed and without hesitation grabbed Eita's right hand.

Before he could be pulled by Chiwa, Masuzu stopped hesitating and grabbed his left hand and pulled towards her.

"Wow Harusaki-san, what do you think you're doing?" Masuzu asked as she pulled Eita closer to her body.

"Oh? Sorry Natsukawa I didn't see you, Eita usually comes home alone so I thought I'd go back with him" Chiwa replied innocently.

"Maybe you should check your eyes seem to be failing, since it would be dangerous for you to lead the way it would be best if you step aside" Masuzu spoke while giving a glance at the hand Chiwa was holding.

"Hmmm maybe you're right it would be dangerous to walk like that, good thing E-kun lives next door to me so he can get me home safely" Chiwa smirked as she pulled her body closer to Eita's.

"That won't do since Eita is going to accompany me to my house so it will be best if you go home alone" Masuzu irritated by Chiwa hugged Eita tighter acting possessive.

"Fufufu it doesn't matter even if we deviate in the end Eita will have to return home and I will be waiting for him to have dinner together, this is something you can never have" Chiwa laughed and declared without hiding her intentions.

Frowning Masuzu looked at Eita for a moment before turning her attention back to Chiwa.

"Hmph it doesn't matter even if you eat with him, a friend doesn't stop being just that, in the end the main role is always going to be played by the girlfriend" Masuzu plucking up his courage clung to Eita's neck and placed a kiss on his cheek.

Feeling the wetness of her lips, as well as the softness they conveyed Eita couldn't help but imagine how good it would feel to taste them directly with his mouth.

Masuzu seeing Chiwa's surprised expression and how Eita was looking at her longingly, felt a flutter in her stomach, her chest was pounding and she felt drunk.

Chiwa just looked at the couple in silence, Masuzu's intoxicated expression let her know that most likely she really is in love with Eita, but that didn't matter, what irritated her was the longing expression Eita had as he looked at Masuzu's lips.

She couldn't help but feel her jealousy rising, she knew she was just a friend for the moment and she had promised not to do anything extreme in public, but seeing them so lovey-dovey made her feel empty.

"Uff, I can't let this get to me, it's just a kiss on the cheek Eita and I have already done much more than that, I'm still winning, no matter what she does Eita is going to be mine" Chiwa convinced herself and managed to calm down.

"E-kun looks like I have something to do around the house, see you for dinner don't be too long" Chiwa left those words and left quickly, she knew that if she stayed any longer she would reveal all the things she has done with Eita and even though she would love to do that Eita might hate her and there was nothing she feared more than making Eita hate her.

Looking at Chiwa's withdrawal Eita felt bad, she may not be his girlfriend but still not far from that, so seeing her give in to this situation made him feel like a bastard, but even then he knew he wouldn't stop, it may be wrong what he's doing, he may be a fucking bastard for desiring several women but this was the path he had chosen, since he woke up in this world he knew he had to set a goal to not get lost, for many it will be a childish and even idiotic goal but for him it was important, he felt that with this goal he could stay focused.

This was not his world, in fact, in his memories this is a fictitious world so if he did not have an anchor, a goal or objective to hold on to he felt he could not take this new life seriously.

Eita despite acting normal was actually affected, waking up in a body with memories that do not belong to him without remembering anything apart from otaku knowledge and knowing that this reality is nothing more than a fantasy made him wonder if his own existence had meaning, if he was also a character of some book in another world, he could not help but worry, so the existence of that goal however superficial it was brought him peace and meaning to his existence.

I hope I have portrayed my intentions well, I don't want you to see Eita as a dramatic and whiny character since I don't like those genres, but I felt it was necessary to explain why Eita wanted the harem so much, so much that he was even willing to hurt the people he cares about (that doesn't mean he will cause them intentional pain because he will make sure they will all be happy) in any case I just wanted to give it a little more depth and not just for a whim and that's it.

I'm new to this so I don't know if I did it right or if it was better without this drama, I would appreciate it if you could tell me if you like it or not.
