บท 35: Ch.34 Awake

Within his slumber, Rei had another encounter with familiar figure which none other than Kaguya, it has been quite long since he had dream about her. The last time he dreamed about her was when he just replaced his bloodline to those of Ōtsutsuki clan.
In the dream, he could only watch as he saw Kaguya turned her beautiful face away and only glanced at him from the corner of her pretty pupiless eye.
Rei didn't knew why he felt her gaze were disdainful and seemingly filled with dissatisfaction towards him, and thats actualy made him embarassed by a lot.
Rei felt like a child being scolded by his parents even though he doesn't knew of the reasons why.
Both of them keeping their silence in the middle of dark space, yet Rei didn't feel suffocated by her presence, only shame.

'drip, drip, drip.'
Rei felt there was something on top of his mouth, struggled to regain his consciousness, he open his eyes slowly.
"Are you awake? Can you move?"
Rei could hear a teenage boy's voice not far from him asking about his condition, when Rei could make out his surrounding albeit weakly, he noticed he was laying down inside a place without light, he saw something akin to a wooden stick currently dripping water slowly on top of his open mouth.
Noticing the water drops, Rei tried to swallows it little by little. After quite a while, Rei began to satisfies his thrist and finaly turns his head weakly towards the source of the voice.
Behind the iron bars, he saw a short chubby boy in his teen with round face, pink hair and round-frame glasses rested atop of his nose. His face ladened with worry and he would occasionally watched his surroundings seemingly on guard.
On his hand, there was a bottle with water trickled the contents down to the long stick aimed at Rei's mouth, the water flows along the stick and dripping down of its edge.
Rei smiled weakly as he saw who it was helped him drinking the water.
Seeing Rei turned his head towards him, the boy let out a sigh of relief, he smiled back and whispered,
"...I thought you're dead! Thankfully you're still okay, can you move closer? My hands feels numb here."
The boy shook his hand carefully after he took back the wooden sticks, then he put the water bottle from between the iron bar's gap and put it inside, and offered it towards the unknown prisoner inside the brig.
Rei could feels his chakra was still hasn't recovered yet, however thanks to the boys earlier help by dripping down water inside Rei's mouth while he was unconscious, he could feels his body began to recover albeit with snail pace.
Seeing Rei couldn't move because of the binding, the boy pushed the water bottle further inside by his long stick. Putting it right just besides Rei's head.
"Quick, if you can move! Use your mouth and drink the water!" He whispered urgently.
"KOBY....!!!"
Suddenly another rough voice echoed loudly from behind the boy. The boy with eyeglasses flinched as his pale turned to panic, noticing the water bottle on Rei's face, the boy quickly taped it aside and spilling the water inside it on the floor!
Rei was speechless seeing his act, however the boy's mouth saying "I'm sorry" with panicked expression, as he quickky stood on standby.
'tap, tap, tap...'
The sound of boots coming closer towards the brig, as the boy could be seen became more and more agitated. He prespirate heavily in panic as one adult pirate shows up and stood in front him.
"Koby? What are you doing down here?" the pirate asked while he checked out the brig.
The chubby teenage boy named Koby smiled awkwardly as he rubbed his head, he answered while stammered, "A, ah, nothing. I just got lost here...hehe, hehehe."
The pirate squinted his eyes, trying to look for anomaly inside the brig, seeing nothing strange inside the dark room, he sneered at Koby "Go back to the deck! Don't mind him here!"
Thanks to the dim room, the pirate failed to notice a spilled water on the floor and it gave Koby a slight relief.
"Ah, ah...Yes, yes of course, sure..hehe, hehehe."
*ptui!
The pirate turned around after he spat without care as Koby followed behind. On the way, Koby looked back towards the brig and he was surprised when seeing there was no bottle besides Rei's head! Where is it gone? Wondered Koby.
In fact, just as Rei heard a man voice coming closer and Koby nudged the bottle in panic, Rei moved his head over the bottle and slide it behind so his head would cover it. After he had done, he closed his eyes pretending to keep his unconsciousness.
Koby followed the Pirate footsteps outside while occasionally looking back towards the brig, wondering who was it being kept inside.
Rei noticed the brig was actualy spotless! Thanks to Alvida love of cleanliness, every nook and crany of her ship actualy stainfree!
Rei put his mouth on the water spills and began to slurp everything from it, he couldn't careless for now as this was the only water currently available for him.
Unbeknowns to Rei. When Koby followed the pirate, he began to ask him a question regarding who was the one they kept inside the ship's brig. However, other than a slap on the head and laughter he couldn't find any information about the man.
The only thing Koby heard was "We're gonna be rich!" and "Don't mind him, it's not your business!"
And so, the innocent Koby could only laugh awkwardly and tried to forget about it. And yet, who are to blame if Koby has such a soft heart? Seeing Rei pathetic appearance, he couldn't help but returned to the brig while bringing halfeaten bread and a bottle of water that night!
