"Violet, I know that you're not a reckless person, and more importantly, you wouldn't say these words without being prepared," King Riku remarked with a serious expression.
He continued, "I strongly advise against this. The situation might not unfold as smoothly as you envision."
"However, even if I try to stop you, I believe you will reach out to Ethan."
"So, go ahead and do as you see fit."
King Riku looked at Violet, emphasizing, "Regardless of whether this succeeds or not, your safety is paramount. Do you understand?"
Violet nodded emphatically, her eyebrows curved into a sweet and gentle smile as she replied, "Father, don't worry. Your daughter isn't foolish; I'll take good care of myself."
Rebecca, looking at Violet with a hint of concern, frowned slightly and said with a wry smile, "Auntie, to be honest, I don't want you to do this."
"But Grandpa has already spoken, so I won't oppose it. Just promise me one thing: when you contact me, be incredibly cautious, and don't let your identity be revealed."
Violet gave her a wry look and responded, "When has your aunt ever made a mistake in her work? I'll be extremely careful, and my identity will remain hidden."
"Alright, I can't stay away for too long; we wouldn't want that scoundrel Doflamingo to catch on. I'll leave for now."
With that, she quickly rose from her seat and gracefully made her way to the door.
After she departed, Rebecca turned to King Riku with a puzzled expression on her delicate face, asking, "Grandpa, why did you agree to this? Auntie might be in danger."
King Riku sighed, his old face bearing an expression of helplessness, and said with a wry smile, "How could Grandpa not know?"
"But since your aunt has made her decision, she won't change her mind."
"Your aunt may appear cheerful on the surface, but she's suffering inside. She's keeping everything hidden, not wanting us to know."
King Riku leaned back in his chair, staring blankly at the ceiling, his face reflecting sadness. "Our country has been invaded, and she has to act under the enemy's nose. Explaining the pain in all this is not easy..."
"It's not your fault, Grandpa. None of this is your fault. It's all Doflamingo's doing, and it has nothing to do with you," Rebecca reassured him as she held his old hands, full of concern.
"Grandpa, believe that villains like Doflamingo will face retribution." Rebecca continued to hold his hands, her eyes soft, and she added, "Grandpa, I want to go outside and see the field of flowers. Will you join me?"
Upon hearing his granddaughter's request, King Riku put aside his troubles and smiled warmly. "Of course, if my granddaughter wants to go for a walk, I'm in."
"Let's go. It's good to get some fresh air. Staying underground all the time, never seeing the sun, can darken one's heart."
Rebecca nodded eagerly, her smile radiant, and the two generations of the family walked slowly towards the door, creating a heartwarming and beautiful scene.
Four days later.
Ethan stood on the deck, surveying his crew.
"It's always Pato and Bepo; they seem to find time for fishing every day."
Burgess, having just finished his training, leaned back in his chair with an irritable expression. "It's been four days, and I haven't found anything. This is frustrating!"
Doc Q, lying on the deck, maintained his unsettling smile. "I don't know about the others, but four days have passed, and there are still twenty-six more to go."
"I've already picked my deputy captain candidate; he's been waving to me," he chuckled.
Hawkins, playing cards on the side, had his usual deadpan voice. "Though four days have passed, your appearance hasn't changed."
Laffitte nonchalantly propped his cane in front of him. "The deputy captain will be Lafitte. There's no need for further discussion."
Van Augur tapped his shoulder with a gun, maintaining his expressionless demeanor. "After Captain's instruction, I'm confident in mastering both types of Haki during these remaining twenty-six days. The deputy captain's position will be mine. It's fate."
As Jin punched the air in the background, working hard on his Haki, he remarked, "Don't forget about me, everyone."
The crew continued their banter, debating the deputy captain position. It was all in good spirits.
Suddenly, an alarm sounded from the observation deck.
"Report... Two ships spotted ahead one merchant ship and one pirate ship."
Inside the practice room, upon hearing the alarm, the girls looked intrigued.
Carina, with a shrug, observed, "It's rare; it's been a while since we've come across a merchant ship. We've been floating aimlessly at sea for so long, rarely encountering pirates or Marines. It's been rather dull."
Perona floated in the air and chimed in with a smile.
Nami blinked her wide eyes and smiled sweetly, saying, "East Blue is the weakest sea area, so encountering pirates is rare. Of course, with Ethan's bounty, we might start encountering more."
Nico Robin nodded and added with a smile, "Originally, there weren't many pirates here, but after Ethan's bounty was issued, the situation likely changed."
Baccarat, who was busy in the corner, looked at Ethan with a smile, noting, "Ethan, our good luck seems to have arrived once again."
"Good fortune has smiled upon us. Could it be that mysterious ship?" Queen Sweetheart asked, looking at Bacara with curiosity.
Moodie, stroking her pale golden hair, said, "I told you it was a merchant ship and a pirate ship. Where's this magical ship you mentioned?"
"Let's go," Ethan said without hesitation, leaving the room.
All the girls stood up, their curious expressions evident. They were eager to discover the source of this new stroke of luck.
On the merchant ship.
In a small room near the window, a young woman stood gazing outside.
With short dark green hair and a pale gold turban, she was none other than the bar owner from Windmill Village Makino.
"As expected, I need to get out once in a while to relax. Otherwise, life would become too dull," Makino mused, shielding her eyes from the sun's rays.
She looked out at the blue sky, white clouds, and the shimmering sea, her mood cheerful and carefree.
A gentle smile adorned her fair and delicate face.
Makino was indeed a sweet and gentle soul.
.....
Suddenly, a terrified scream erupted from the merchant ship.
"Oh no, this is bad! Pirates are approaching!"
The tourist's cry was like a stone dropped into a tranquil lake, instantly causing a commotion.
"Pirates? It's a disaster! I don't want to die!"
"Why are there pirates here? What's happening?"
"I've traveled on this ship many times and have never encountered pirates before. Why now?"
"A few days ago, my friend mentioned that pirates have been on the rise in East Blue, all because of a pirate group called Ethan. I didn't believe it then, but now..."
"I heard it's that Ethan guy, the one with a bounty of over 100 million, inspiring others to become pirates. Disgusting..."
On the merchant ship, inside a luxurious room.
Three men were present, enjoying their day.
"Kaya, stay in the room and don't wander," Josiah instructed his daughter firmly upon hearing the commotion outside.
Kaya, sitting primly on a chair, nodded in agreement, saying obediently, "Father, don't worry; I won't leave the room."
Josiah then turned his gaze to the man behind Kaya and said seriously, "Merry, take care of Kaya and watch over her."
Next, he glanced at the butler beside him and issued a direct command, "Kurahadol, let's go outside and see what's happening."
With no hesitation, he hastened towards the door.
Kurahadol adjusted his glasses using the palm of his right hand and calmly remarked, "Very well, sir."
Soon, the two men left the room, leaving only Kaya and Merry, the master and servant pair, behind.
"Merry, are pirates as frightening as they say? Are we in danger?" Kaya asked while holding a book. Her greatest passion was reading and learning.
Merry was a gentle person with a warm smile, and he replied kindly, "Miss, this ship has been sailing for many years without any incidents. Please don't worry; we'll be fine."
Kaya's eyes lit up, and she wore a sweet and radiant smile on her pure and elegant face. "Really?"
"Yes, it's best for everyone to stay safe and happy. That's what matters most," Kaya remarked happily. "By the way, Merry, let's go to the door and check. I want to see if these pirates are as ruthless as they're described in books."
Without much thought, Merry shook his head and promptly objected, "Miss, have you forgotten what your father said earlier?"
"He instructed you to stay put and not roam around. Let's not make things difficult for me."
Kaya rolled her eyes playfully, let out a small huff, and pretended to be displeased, her pretty face reflecting her feigned annoyance. "But Father said not to wander, and I'm just going to the door to see. That doesn't count as wandering, right?"
Hearing Kaya's words, Merry felt helpless and didn't know how to refuse. He cared deeply for the young lady, loved her dearly, and wanted to ensure her happiness.
After careful consideration, he slightly shook his head, sighed, and said, "Alright, I'll grant your request. But let's make one thing clear you can only look at the door, and you mustn't go too far. Do you understand?"
Kaya nodded vigorously, and with a sweet smile, she responded, "Of course, I understand."
"Merry, you're the best. Hehe," she added, grateful for his kindness.
"Come on, let's go outside and take a look."
Kaya quickly rose from her seat, clutching her book, and headed towards the door with infectious, tinkling laughter that showcased her innocence and liveliness.
What an innocent young girl!
"Oops..."Merry waved his hand quickly, followed her, and hurriedly said, "Miss, don't walk too fast. Allow me to go out first and check the situation."
With a creak, the wooden door slowly opened. Kaya displayed a curious expression on her pretty face, which was utterly endearing as she stepped out.
Simultaneously, the diagonal wooden door also opened gradually, and a woman with green hair emerged.
The two girls locked eyes, and Makino nodded gently, her delicate and fair face bearing a sweet and pleasant smile.
"Ah, big sister, you look so beautiful!" Kaya greeted enthusiastically, holding her book and standing with graceful poise.
Her demeanor exuded an air of refinement, giving the impression of a genteel and poised young lady.
Makino took small steps, smiled warmly, and responded, "You're the beautiful one; much prettier than me."
"I'm Makino, from Windmill Village in East Blue. Nice to meet you."
Kaya gazed at Makino with her big, curious eyes and offered a sweet smile. "Sister Makino, I'm Kaya, and I come from Syrup Village."
She gestured toward Merry and continued with delight, "This is Merry, someone I deeply respect. Hehe."
Merry nodded to Makino and greeted her kindly. "Hello, it's a pleasure to meet you."
Makino returned the warm smile and added, "Mr. Merry, I'm delighted to meet you too."
"By the way, pirates are approaching, so please be cautious and avoid wandering," Makino cautioned.
Kaya nodded in agreement, made a couple of affirmative hums, and added with a cheerful smile, "Sister Makino, we heard about the pirates and came out to assess the situation."
"To be honest, I've never seen a pirate in my life."
Hearing Kaya's mention of pirates, Makino shook her head slightly, wearing a bittersweet smile, and shared, "In our village, there's a little rascal about your age who constantly talks about going to sea."
"He always says that his dream is to find the One Piece. No matter how much I try to persuade him, it's futile. He's eager to set sail and embrace the risks."
"But enough about that. I'm going to look out the window."
Makino smiled and inquired kindly, "What about you, Kaya?"
Kaya nodded in response, her eyes sparkling, her smile pure and sweet. "Of course, I plan to take a look too."
"Merry, let's go to the door and see. Then we'll return to the room. How does that sound?"
Meli examined the window, which was just at the end of the corridor, a mere tens of meters away not too far.
"Alright, but after taking a look, we must go back to your room and not linger outside for too long."
Kaya nodded earnestly and playfully remarked, "I know."
Subsequently, she looked at Makino, her smile radiating warmth, and expressed, "Sister Makino, shall we?"
With that, the three of them made their way to the window and engaged in a pleasant conversation.
"Sister Makino, what do you do?" Kaya asked while holding her book, her demeanor reminiscent of a curious child. "You seem so gentle and kind; I like you, Sister."
Makino ran her fingers through her dark green hair and responded with a sweet smile, "I run a tavern in Windmill Village."
"Kaya, I am quite fond of you as well. You appear gentler and more ladylike than me. I should learn from you."
Kaya felt slightly embarrassed by the compliment, her face blushing. She smiled sweetly and replied, "You're too kind, Sister; I'm not as great as you say."
