Van Augur asked, still keeping the spear's muzzle aimed steadily at Buggy's forehead.
"Hahahahaha," Blackbeard laughed heartily, signaling for Van Augur and the others to lower their weapons. "He's not someone you need to worry about. Just stay calm!"
Blackbeard had a strong recollection of Buggy.
During the numerous battles between the Whitebeard Pirates and the Roger Pirates decades ago, Blackbeard's opponents included Buggy and Red-Haired Shanks.
While Shanks was a notable opponent, Buggy was a different story.
Blackbeard's attacks had little effect on Buggy. Back then, Buggy had already consumed the Chop-Chop Fruit, which allowed him to counter Blackbeard effectively.
Fortunately, Buggy's offensive power wasn't very strong at that time, and he could take a beating. That was how Blackbeard managed to survive those encounters with Buggy.

Decades have passed since then. Shanks, once a contemporary of Buggy, has risen to become one of the Four Emperors, while Buggy remains unknown.
Blackbeard, who had long thought Buggy dead and forgotten, never anticipated crossing paths with him at this moment and place!

Buggy gave a faint smile. "Something like that. I've been keeping an eye on you!"
Blackbeard's smile faltered as he demanded, "What do you know?"
Blackbeard was stunned by Buggy's words! He had kept a low profile for decades to conceal his plan, remaining an unknown figure and never revealing his ambitions.
He couldn't comprehend why anyone would be so invested in monitoring him for so long, just to uncover his ambitions!
Blackbeard couldn't believe Buggy's words!
Yet, seeing Buggy's confident and enigmatic demeanor made Blackbeard's resolve waver once more.
What if Buggy's claims were true?
If so, his fear of Buggy would escalate dramatically, forcing him to reconsider his future plans.
Blackbeard decided to test the waters to see if Buggy truly knew his plans. Buggy smiled calmly and said, "Teach, I've always admired ambitious people! Heroes like you are truly impressive."
"I'm well aware of your goal for going to Impel Down, the secrets of your body, and the power of the Dark-Dark Fruit."
"So, how about it? Interested in teaming up? I can help you get your hands on Whitebeard's Tremor-Tremor Fruit!"
At these words, Blackbeard's pupils constricted, and a shiver ran down his spine. At that moment, he was convinced that Buggy knew exactly what he was planning!
The world at large recognizes that it's impossible for one person to wield two Devil Fruits simultaneously.
Yet Buggy had just pointed out Blackbeard's greatest ambition while hinting at his own ability to possess multiple Devil Fruits.
This made Blackbeard believe Buggy was genuinely targeting him.
Such a realization was unsettling even for a tyrant like Blackbeard. If he had been confident in his victory, he would have wanted to eliminate Buggy on the spot.
Seeing Blackbeard's silence, Buggy continued, "Also, I plan to take these prisoners to participate in the war with the Navy Headquarters. If you're capable, you can recruit them afterwards. I have no interest in these people!"
Blackbeard didn't feel any satisfaction from this offer. Instead, he responded with suspicion, "What's your real purpose?"
After a moment of thought, Buggy replied, "To be honest, I just want to make this world more lively!"
"Also, there are a few Devil Fruits I'm after, and I need your help to get them!"
Blackbeard frowned and asked, "Is that all?"
Bucky shook his head and replied, "Not at all! I think we can discuss a long-term partnership in the future, but those details should be worked out after the war is over!"
Blackbeard pondered for a moment and then laughed, "Hahaha, then I'll be counting on you in the future, Buggy the Clown!"
Buggy grinned and said, "To show my sincerity, I'll help you secure Whitebeard's Tremor-Tremor Fruit first!"
"Hahaha, thank you very much!"
Blackbeard laughed heartily, but there was a calculating glint in his eyes.
Regardless of Buggy's true intentions, he needed to acquire the power of the Tremor-Tremor Fruit.
Securing this fruit would only make him stronger, and it would boost his confidence in case he had to clash with Buggy later.
Thus, Blackbeard had no qualms about playing the part of a friendly ally for now, with plans to act differently once he had the Tremor-Tremor Fruit in his possession.
As for the prisoners in Impel Down... Blackbeard was now wavering about taking them on.
He couldn't be sure if Buggy had some sort of backup plan to deal with him. However, without those prisoners, quickly assembling a crew strong enough to rival the Four Emperors would be challenging.
Blackbeard remained uncertain about his next move and decided to plan things as they unfolded.
After forging an alliance with Blackbeard, he and his crew joined the team and set off toward the Navy Headquarters!
At this moment, the battle at the Navy Headquarters had reached its climax!
The three most powerful admirals of the Navy Headquarters had all taken action, and Whitebeard himself had also entered the fray!
