It ended before it even started.
If one had looked at it from an outsider's perspective, they would have just noticed a blur, and then me right behind 876.
Then, for no apparent reason, 876's limbs began bending into weird angles, each with a loud "Crack!" and then she collapsed, dropping her battle axe with a heavy "Thud!" on the ground.
This was what happened if one had seen it in slow-mo. I had ran up to her, and then I had used both my hands and feet to strike her in 24 different places, breaking the bones in each one, and then had ended with my back facing her just to look cool.
Nobody moved for a few seconds after seeing the gruesome marionette that was left lying behind me.
Suddenly, little sis rushed here and carried Onee-sama back to their tent, laying her in, where she would probably be staying for the next week or so.
Everybody else then went back to their respective islands and rested.
The next day we decided that it would be the last two fighting against each other.
"Round 3 will be Bam25 vs. Mad Dog."
'Well, this will be a close fight.'
This was probably the last fight that everybody would pay attention to, as we now knew all the other's fighting styles.
'This'll also be the first time that I get to see a mage's play style in real life.'
"3, 2, 1..."
"BOOM!"
A spell immediately started materializing in front of Bam25 and she fired a slightly strong fireball at Mad Dog, and although the fireball was more focused on speed then on power, it was still enough to maybe burn a hair off of my skin, which was really powerful considering my stats.
Although the spell was manifested quickly and the power was good, it did nothing to Mad Dog as he easily dodged it.
He then turned and ran at Bam25, brandishing a sword in each hand.
He reached her and immediately swung down on her head with both of his swords.
By then, Bam25 had already been reciting a barrier spell and had gotten it up in the nick of time, stopping the swords an inch from her head.
Then, she released the second spell that she had been casting, exploding a fireball right into Mad Dog's exposed chest, sending him flying backwards while she was still protected by the barrier.
As the smoke cleared, one could see Mad Dog dragging himself up with his swords. Making a last ditch attempt, he ran straight at Bam, as he knew that he only had a chance in close quarters combat, knowing that most of her stat points had been invested in mana and intelligence to create those fast and powerful spells.
But, unfortunately for him, she had already conjured 5 different fireballs and sent them flying at him.
He dodged the first 3, but in doing so, ran right into the path of the 4th, and then the 5th finished him off.
Looking at his burned unmoving body, I announced the results.
"Winner, Bam25!"
We all quickly left and returned back to our respective islands, and as Mad Dog didn't have any companions, he was just left there on the island, his burned body basking in the midday sun.
I had been pleasantly surprised by the power that my little sis had, 'I guess she used what I told her about the tower to her advantage.'
I mean, she was probably the best mage in all of the towers right now, and she had chosen fire as her main element, which was the most destructive one.
'Hmm, an elf that is also fire mage... could she be going for that?'
'Well, I'll know once we get into the main tower.'
3 months later...
Mad Dog was kneeling on the ground in front of us.
Over the course of the last 3 months, I had solidified my position as the strongest player in this tower. Hope had gotten second while Liu Zhang had gotten third. Little sis had gotten fourth while Onee-sama had barely gotten fifth, as she had actually tied with Mad Dog a few times. Their battles had actually taken a whole month to decide who was the winner.
Back in the present, we were about to execute Mad Dog.
"To give you a fighting chance, I'll give you 1 minute to run, then I'll do everything in my power to hunt you down."
Of course, from the beginning to the end, he was already a dead man, so this was more like a form of torture than giving him a chance.
Shouldering Onee-sama's battle axe, I watched as he ran off into the distance.
Right as 1 minute ended, I threw the battle axe.
Just like last time, it curved in a strangely beautiful arc, spinning, mesmerizing the players standing next to me as they watched the axe descend downwards, making a clean split through Mad Dog's body.
We watched as each of his two halves fell to one side and then we all turned around, waiting.
[Congratulations to the final 5 players in Meta-Region 8.]
[You have been awarded 10,000 TC.]
[You are the final region to complete your Tutorial Tower.]
[The gods cheer with tears flowing out of their eyes, as they are finally relieved from their boredom!]
(A/N: They're bored cause Meta-Region 8 took too long while all the other towers had finished already.)
[As such, the group from Meta-Region 8 won't be entering the "rest area" and will proceed directly to the rewards room, where immediately after, you will be transported to the Main Tower along with the rest of the players that have passed the 10th floor trial.]
[Finalizing results...]
[Initiating teleportation...]
With one final look over at Hope, locking my eyes with hers, a bright light engulfed us as we were taken away.
Whew! Finally, with that, the Tutorial Tower arc is about to come to an end. The next two chapters will be the rewards chapter and the epilogue, ending the arc. After that, "When the Reader Descends Into the Novel with a System," will start being uploaded and I'll set the foundation for it, I mean, I've already rewritten the prologue chapter for it like 5 times.
Well anyways, thanks for reading!
