The vortex that is inside of the coffin is swallowing the army that the world boss has spawned. The souls of the ones devoured could not resist the pull that the vortex used. The vortex that sucked all the souls for about five minutes, but the number is too numerous.

The vortex of the coffin sucked Baron Samedi last as that is also the end of the transformation. Fenris did not stay idle while this is happening as the three overlords are in combat with the world boss. They could no longer easily fend off the world boss as long as an endless array of enemies are attacking them too.
