Twigs snapped and branches swing back into places as the Dark God of the Undead, Stagnate, ran through the woodland ruins on the outskirts of the former Republic Wilderplains. Stagnate paused to catch his breath, but found himself facing off with a pair of glowing red eyes. A low snarl revealed the embodiment of the Carnal Polar Bear Wrath, Atrocity Winters, of the now ruined Fort Wilderness.
"Found you." Snarled Atrocity biting into Stagnate's side. He screamed out in pain as Atrocity ripped into his side then tore a massive chunk of his divine flesh off his body.
"It only took us two weeks to track you down." Called out a voice. Stagnate looked around frantically, but the darkened woods and the burning of his side made it impossible for him to think. Moments later, a metallic monster followed by a skeleton dressed in tattered black slacks and a tattered red cloak entered the clearing.
"No... no...."
Fog Carne, the cloaked skeleton knelt down in front of Stagnate, grab a tuft of his hair and pull his head up. "Any last words before I kill you?"
"I'd rather die than ever live in a word with you." Said Stagnate. Fog shook his head before piercing Stagnate's soul with his blade, The God-Slayer. Stagnate gasped for breath as Fog stared into his eyes, watching the life force drain from them. Once Stagnate was dead, Fog stood up and swished the golden blood from his blade.
"Come, today is the day we begin our quest to rule this fucking world."
As Fog, Atrocity and the Guardian Elder known as Elder Prime marched away from the Ruins of Wilderplains, the world seemed eerily still, as if it felt the strength of this Skeleton, his sorrow, his burden, all with just a single kill.
