A rather large man walked into the hideout. He wore a brown hat, a brown coat, a red scarf, blue jeans, and brown boots. Calian went over to him and stood still, examining the large man. The man just stood there, not a word said nor was there any movement at all. Calian raised his eyebrows at him as the man continued to be a statue.
"What it do?” Chester asked as he went up the dab the man. The man returned the dab to Chester as the two embraced one another.
“Oh, you know how it is”. The man said, his voice was sharp, yet rough.
“Calian, this is our confirmer, my mans, Calian”.
“What do we need a confirmer for?” Calian asked.
“He isn’t up to speed?” The confirmer asked.
“These things can be a complicated process”. Chester said. “But what’s important is that we are all here. We can make this shit happen”.
“Let me guess, there’s more to all this huh?”
“Calian, we got an opportunity”.
“Which would be?”
“Mexico baby!”
“Are you out of your mind?”
“Are you? Mexico is awesome bro! Rosarita should be nice this nice of year!”
“This is not what we discussed”.
“What can I say man? That’s where the money is”.
“Then you got to figure that out on your own”. Calian said as he began to walk out. The confirmer then got in front of him.
“I’m sorry man”. Chester said.
“What are you fucking doing here?”
“It just doesn’t work like that”.
“Chester…”
“Hey Calian…umm”. Halian said upon his entrance, in his human form.
“Who the hell is this kid?” The confirmer asked.
“You know him Calian?”
“Leave him alone”. Calian said.
“What’s going on?” Halian asked.
“Kid, this is some business stuff”. Chester said. “Like adult business stuff. AKA, this has nothing to do with you”.
“But Calian is my friend”.
“That’s sweet and all but Calian is now with us”.
“But why?”
“Kid!” The confirmer shouted. “You ask too many fucking questions!”
“I’m sorry but I just want to know”.
Calian was able to get from in front of Chester and the confirmer and got to the side of them. He then knocked over the confirmer with a kick and decked Chester with one right hook. He signaled Halian and the two of them ran out of the room. The went up the stairs of the hideout and ran as far as their breaths allowed.
“Calian…” Halian started. “How do you know those guys?”
“I met the guy in the hoody when I went out.
“But I don’t get why they are here?”
“It’s a long story”.
“No, it’s not. Are they here to do something?”
“No, and we don’t have time to sit down and talk about it. We have to make moves”.
BANG BANG
Gunshots had been fired which caused Calian and Halian to become alert. Calian crept out more towards the open and BANG BANG the gun went off again. He moved to be able to look at ninety-degree angle and saw nothing but grey. BANG BANG was the sound of the gun as Calian resounded back to where he was with Halian.
“They’re trying to kill us!” Halian said.
“Now isn’t the time to freak out”.
“That’s easy for you to say!”
“Look! If you want to get out of here alive, then fucking listen to me you little bitch!”
Halian stood there and stared at Calian. Calian looked Halian square in the eyes. Neither one flinched nor even made the slightest move towards blinking. Halian did wind up turning his head away a bit. Calian remained stoic, having kept his gaze on Halian with no intention of removing it.
“Those guys are all about money. Who you are I are is irrelevant. What is relevant to them is what they squeeze out of us. So, we’re going to have to squeeze them out”.
BANG BANG
“No more time to talk”.
Calian and Halian ran out of the room and Calian lead Halian down a couple of levels. Calian then took Halian to the right of the next corner and stopped. He poked his head out and looked to the right, then to the left. Calian then moved back behind the corner wall before he took in a deep breath.
“Ayo, whattup?” Takoda asked, having just entered the area.
“Takoda!” Halian said. “Are you alright?”
“Yeah, why wouldn’t I be?”
“We got some company”. Calian said.
“Oh? Hope they have food. That was bread filling and all, but damn could have used some meat and lettuce with it. At least some butter”.
“We need to deal with these guys before this escalates too far”.
“Who are these guys anyway?”
“The hell I know. I just met one of them in a bar”.
“That’s why bars are no good. They always lead to trouble”.
“Not knowing when to shut the fuck up leads to trouble”.
“Anyway, what do you think we should do?”
“Ambush them”.
“Oooo. Sounds like a lot of work. But cool”.
“Whatever. We got to get going. Where’s Wiyot?”
“Ya know, I don’t really know”. Takoda said.
“Of course, you don’t”.
“Should we look for him?” Halian asked.
“He’ll have to catch up to us later”. Calian. “As for now, I got an idea”.
Calian, Halian, and Takoda went down the stairs back to the first level. They but their backs behind the walls as they could hear Chester’s and the confirmer’s footsteps. Calian stopped as the footsteps got louder. Chester and the confirmer walked by, both of them carrying a loaded gun.
“Where did those fuckers go?” Chester asked.
“Lost another one?” The confirmer responded with.
“You got jokes huh. Look, I don’t know the fucker. Things were going fine until he started bugging out”.
“Maybe try to tell a little more information the next time you scout?’
“Dully noted. Are you happy?”
“I’ll be happy when this is over”.
“Alright, alright, alright I feel you dawg, I feel you. This place isn’t that big right? We just got to look around for them and we’ll get them”.
“It’s as simple as that?”
“It’s as simple as that”.
“Yo”. Takoda said as he walked towards Chester and the confirmer. “What’s Gucci?”
