In the face of the impending extinction of the human race, initiatives such as Project Gestalt and Project Snow White were believed by those involved to be the key to humanity's salvation. There were many more like it, all making use of the mysterious energy known as maso along with other elements foreign to their dimension.
Project APEX, or the Augmented Progression of Evolutionary Xenobiology, was a privately funded venture that took a far different approach. Instead of using elements not native to the dimension Earth resided in, researchers attempted to synthesis a human carrying artificial genes derived from native biological material that displayed an innate resistance to maso. Humanity was wiped out long before any could see the result of the experiment but that didn't mean it never bore fruit.
Abruptly awakened from a lifelong slumber with nothing but an AI as company, the young man born from the experiment takes on the name Apex and emerges from an underground lab unsure of what the future holds.

first review, wow finally a Nier fic that is worth following I just hope that the updates are maintained from what I observe the MC is based a little on the prototype video game I need to see how the author develops it but so far I have high hopes

At the moment it is being a great read in every way, I like the protagonist a lot and there is a lot of content that can be taken from this world, although I hope it stays calmer, I am tired of novels where the protagonist basically becomes a god in can. [spoiler for nier automata story] Likewise I see no way for this world to have a nice ending considering the AI that basically manipulates every event in the canon game and the fact that there are no other humans if the protagonist is the last of his kind.

As someone who has only dipped slightly into the vast Neir verse(Automata), I can say that I am thoroughly enjoying this story. The writing quality alone surpasses most of the stuff I’ve seen on WN and the story and characters are well written and the pace is comfortable. Very excited to see where this goes and I wish the author the best(P.S I suck at writing reviews, tho i wanted to show my support)
A great fanfic. Really, a quality surpassed the usual webnovel slop. Thank you for creating this. and I beg you to please finish it. (There's very little finished nier fanfic)
It's actually not bad, even good. I wish I could write down exactly why, but I'm too lazy, and I want to make the author feel good with a positive review. I think it will suffice to say that the fanfic is done in terms of writing and interactions a head above many garbage original novels, somehow miraculously gaining popularity. All in all, to anyone who doubts, really recommend it. Motivation and success to the author!
