Underneath the Altar, Kagami, who was dressed nicely, stood in front of a small gathering of friends and family. He was slightly nervous and annoyed not so much from standing in front of everyone, but what Tsunade decided to give him as a wedding gift. For at the young age of twenty and almost going on twenty one, he found himself awaiting his bride Mira.
"Are you nervous?" His grandfather asked.
Kagami shook his head. "In about a week or two, I will be taking the mantle of Sixth Hokage. Tsunade thought it would be a great gift."
"You knew it would happen. Hiruzen has been trying to get you to become Hokage for years now. So is Tsunade now." Taiyō laughed lightly. "Now forget about that for now and smile for here comes your bride. It just seems like yesterday you two met for the first time."
Kagami began to recall the first time he met Mira and then all their training and competitions. From running around the village to being forced to graduate early. Then all the missions they went on as well the few times they nearly died.
'Others strive to be Hokage, I don't and it is thrown at me.' Kagami mentally sighed.
However, his thoughts rapidly changed as he smiled at the sight of Mira. Dressed up in a dress and hair done up. She went all out preparing for this day since she proposed to him a month before he did. Which earned a laugh from both of them.

Before he knew it, Kagami found out that a few more years had passed since his marriage to Mira. While in his laboratory looking over some data he got from his and Mira's latest check up thanks to the nanobots. He noticed that despite being nearly twenty five, the data is listing them around twenty one or two. Which made him hum a bit at the mystery he would enjoy looking into.
"Well, Mira, it looks like you're eating for two." Kagami smiled at Mira.
"Grandpa Taiyō is going to be happy." Mira grinned excitedly. "He will have a great grandchild to spoil now."
"Please, I will spoil them far more." Kagami huffed.
"You're already making me the strict one." Mira raised her eyebrow at him. "Well, I guess it is for the best. Anyways, we have a meeting in a while. Something about Naruto returning from his training trip with Jiraiya and some research funding."
Kagami nodded with a sigh, since due to removing most of the villains that would give Naruto his recognition. He wonders how Naruto will get the boost so he could be a shoe in for being Hokage in the future. However, maybe arresting Sasuke and Orochimaru would work. Since Sasuke still left the village to gain power to kill Itachi.
As for the research, a branch of the research center has been asking for funding to conduct some questionable research. Hence, Kagami was hesitant to give them more funding since this branch nearly destroyed a quarter of the village last time he funded them in mechanical puppets.
"Before I forget, Orochimaru has been making strange movements lately. He seems to be eyeing some tailed beasts to study." Mira said.
"Strange but ok." Kagami shrugged.
He would look into it later and keep an eye on the man. Which would turn out not to be worth the thought as Orochimaru blew up his lab trying to create his own tailed beast.

Then more time passed and before Kagami realized it, decades had passed by in a blink of an eye. Standing on top of Hokage Rock where seven heads were carved into it. He stood next to Mira as they looked out at the bustling city before them as bullet trains, chakra vehicles and skyscrapers filled their view.
Both of them still held their appearance of being in their mid twenties for somewhere along the line. They just stopped physically aging or began to age extremely slowly. Neither Kagami or Mira knew which, but the data he could gather. Kagami was still stumped on the mystery of how this happened.
"On tonight evening news, the Sixth Hokage nine hundred and ninety-nine request to retire has been rejected once more." A woman on a large screen displaying the evening news reported.
"I'm nearly one hundred and twenty years old. It's time for this old man to rest." Kagami sighed. "My son and my grandson basically have both feet in their graves."
"It can't be helped. They want you to stay busy so you don't build something crazy." Mira interrupted. "Incase you forgot, the incident with that giant robot suit you built during Naruto's reign."
"That was nearly eighty years ago." Kagami lightly whined. "I was a young forty year old and I didn't hear you complaining."
"It was fun exploring the sea bottom for our anniversary that year." Mira nodded. "However, what about creating a holy land for fox summons. If you remember the chaos it created thirty years ago." Mira smiled.
"I wanted a place for Asura and Kōsetsu to live peacefully after we pass on." Kagami retorted.
Mira just rolled her eyes as she can clearly remember Kagami doing it just for a challenge. However, if that is the excuse he wanted to give, so be it.
"Then what about the forbidden scroll in the village? You made ten of them by yourself."
"Do you think a Hokage Candidate will emerge this year?" Kagami changed topics not wanting to continue.
It was hard to continue this topic when his opponent is his wife.
"I doubt it. So it looks like you have another year as Hokage." Mira snickered. "It's what happens when you're viewed as the God of Shinobi, the Mechanical Sage, Longest Serving Hokage, Immortal, among many others."
"What can I do? It's not my fault that others keep throwing titles at me." Kagami grumbled.
"Well, come along. It's time to go as we are having dinner with our children and grandchildren's family." Mira smiled.
Grabbing his wife's hand, the two vanished in a flash of lightning.

Thanks for reading.

Now a few may wonder why the story ended here. Well, truthfully I only wrote about half of what was planned and even removed a few minor plots. The reason is, when writing this, for nearly two months straight, it was mainly negetive comments about why did MC do this, terrible plot, or sticking too close to the canon. Hence I decided just to remove the last half, where Naruto events take place, and just summaries it into a epilogue.

Now thanks for reading, and until next story. (It will be up in a few weeks.)
