บท 240: Chapter 8: Waking the Demon
(Sadahiko)
Sadahiko had just dodged a barrage of Madara's fireballs when he paused. He turned his head towards the city as he felt a familiar chakra source coming from there. His eyes widened in realization but also in denial too. It was impossible for her to be here, in the realm of the living. She died nineteen years ago during the Kyuubi attack. But there was no denying that this chakra belonged to Sadahiko's granddaughter, Kushina Uzumaki, the second Kyuubi jinchuuriki and Naruto's mother. How on earth was she here…?
A large wooden fist smashed down where Sadahiko was standing, making clouds of dust and dirt rise up from the impact. From a good distance away, Hashirama Senju, still having his hands in the Snake seal, was trying to see if he had managed to score a hit on Sadahiko this time. However as the dust settled, he saw to his surprise that the Uzumaki was perfectly fine. A small crater had formed under Sadahiko's feet and his left hand was being used to hold up the large fist of wood. That is when Hashirama noticed two other things: One Sadahiko had sheathed Reijin Jinryu and two a look that could send a bijuu running had formed on Sadahiko's face.
In short, Sadahiko Uzumaki was very, very pissed.
Without any warning Sadahiko crushed the fist, turning it into twigs before disappearing. Hashirama's eyes widened in surprise and before he could react, he was sent flying into a large rock, courtesy of a punch from Sadahiko. Following it up, Sadahiko formed the Ram seal. "Onmyoton: Akanawa Gingami Haka (Yin Yang Release: Red Rope Silver Paper Tomb).
What followed next was a gust of red wind appearing out behind Sadahiko as it rushed towards Hashirama. The Shodaime Hokage tried to fight back but he soon quickly found himself being bound by the wind. When it finally ended where once stood Hashirama Senju, was now a human-size shaped silver tomb standing up straight, with several thick red ropes tied around it and binding it to the ground. Furthermore attached to the tomb were several matching pieces of paper with the kanji for "rest" on them.
Slowly releasing his hands from one another, Sadahiko murmured, "That you should keep you still for a while. Until I deal with that snake brat that is."
"So you're finally getting serious huh, Sadahiko?" Madara's voice asked. Sadahiko turned around to see Madara standing before him. The resurrected Uchiha's eyes were closed and Susanoo deactivated. The Uzumaki could feel Madara's chakra spike up as the man spoke again, "I rather continue this dance of ours. After all, you and Hashirama are the only people who are worthy enough for me to use this." Madara said as he opened his eyes. But it was no longer the Mangekyo Sharingan anymore. Now, as Sadahiko took a better look at them, he saw that Madara's eyes had taken on a purple-metallic color with a rippling pattern of rings converging onto a small black dot-like pupil in the center. Sadahiko's eyes narrowed as he gazed at the Uchiha, already putting the pieces together.
"The Rinnegan…to think you go so far as to steal the Senju's DNA to awaken that should've have vanished along with the Rikudou Sennin. You truly have fallen Madara." Sadahiko said.
"I am a man destined for greater things Sadahiko." Madara retorted as he raised his right hand. "To save this world from despair, I need the powers of god to do so. Shinra Tensei!"
However just as Madara said the name of his jutsu, Sadahiko appeared right in front of him. His left hand staying apart from Madara's right hand just by a few inches. From the hand, yin-yang chakra could be seen coming out. At that moment, a blast of gravity struck Sadahiko, destroying the ground beneath him and sending it flying backwards. However, much to Madara's shock and amazement, Sadahiko hardly budged, if not being pushed back by a few inches. The elder Uzumaki was actually resisting one of the Rinnegan's strongest techniques, using his left hand to try and contain the gravity being released by Madara's right hand. The image of a large spectral left hand could be seen behind Sadahiko, holding back the gravity.
Seeing the look of surprise on Madara's face, Sadahiko smirked. "Being alive has it perks Madara! I've already read all of the Rinnegan's powers. The Shinra Tensei is a formidable jutsu. But it can still be held back by and even nullified if countered by a strong enough force. And looks like Sanso Teppeki (Iron Wall of the Mountain Monk), appears to be quite good for that, wouldn't you agree?"
As Sadahiko curled his fingers, the larger hand did the same as it compressed the gravity. Madara tried to add more force but the unsuspecting counter Sadahiko produced, the Uchiha did not have enough time. And as the gravity was compressed to its limit, it finally dispersed and created a small shockwave that pushed Madara back from Sadahiko by several feet, dust flying into the air. It also destroyed a portion of his right arm. However Madara hardly had anytime to wait for his arm to regenerate as he heard Sadahiko's voice through the dust cloud.
"And if you wish to sit on the throne of God so badly" Sadahiko began as he shot forward. His right arm was reared back and his hand formed into a fist. Chakra began to move through his arm towards his fist, which was covered by a small see-through yellow sphere. "Then allow me to send you to the heavens!"
"Shit! This is…" Madara cursed in his head, panic beginning to arise. He knew that he couldn't counter this in time.
"Hado Ogi: Shoki Tenjodo: Kaiho! (Wave Motion Secret Technique: True Heart, Heavenly Path: Deliverance)" Sadahiko shouted. He delivered a powerful uppercut straight to Madara's chin. The force was so strong that it formed a crater beneath their feet. Followed up by Madara literally being skyrocketed up to the sky, so high that it looked like he would reach the clouds.
His arm still raised, Sadahiko watched as Madara kept going up until you couldn't see him anymore. He knew that it wasn't enough to put Madara out for good, but it would keep him incapacitated for a good while. "Long enough for me to behead a snake." Sadahiko muttered as he took off towards the city.
(City, Naruto and Pain's Battle)
With one of his nine tails glowing, and with Naruto on his head, Kogetsu released a large fireball at the Multi-Headed Dog summon. Unprepared, the beast was struck right in the face, sending it back several feet and fell onto its back, stunned. However the attack merely caused two more heads to pop out from the dog's body before splitting from it.
At the same time, both the Ox summon and Rhino summon were charging towards Kogetsu on both sides. They were moving so fast that it looked like the giant fox wouldn't be able to dodge it in time. But it was proven wrong, as another of Kogetsu's tails glowed black and he disappeared in a wisp of shadowy smoke. His disappearance caused the Ox and Rhino to collide with one another.
Appearing above the two stunned summons, Kogetsu preformed a kick to the Rhino's head. As it began to skid across the ground backwards because of the blow, Kogetsu turned his sights on the Ox. Using the kick to perform a spin, another of his tails began to glow. This time, it was a bright silvery color.
"Tetsuo! (Iron Tail)" Kogetsu yelled as the tail struck the Ox right in the face. The impact was followed by the sounds of bones breaking as the Ox was sent flying backwards before crashing into a building. The Ox eventually dispersed into a cloud of smoke.
However what neither Naruto nor Kogetsu knew was that the Animal Path was on top of the Ox at the time. At the moment when the fox's tail struck it, the Path used that moment to get on top of Kogetsu's back and make a grab for Naruto. The two soon engaged in unarmed combat on top of Kogetsu, while said fox was now fighting the multi-headed dog. Though the dog now had five heads, Kogetsu easily made up for that with his nine tails. The long objects shot forwards and wrapped themselves around the summons' body, trying to hold the dog in place for the fox to deliver a killing blow. But the dog just grew more heads, which soon separated from the main body. Now Kogetsu had to face off against a three-headed dog and three other dogs now.
Meanwhile, due to Kogetsu's constant movements, Naruto managed to land a kick on the Animal Path, sending the orange long-haired man backwards. The Path was able to land on the main dog summon, while the three separate dogs circled around Kogetsu and Naruto, growling.
"Kogetsu! Let's take out the main one!" Naruto suggested.
"Agreed" The Fox Chief replied as one of his tails glowed an orange color.
Before Animal Path could respond, the large fox dashed forward at an incredible speed towards it and the main dog summon. The other dogs tried to stop him, but Kogetsu merely dodged them with tremendous agility. As Kogetsu neared the larger three-headed dog, another of his tails began to glow, this time a light shade of green appeared. At the same time, the fox's left claw began to glow the same color too while Naruto formed a set of hand seals.
"Kitsune Tatsumaki! (Fox Tornado)" Kogetsu said as he swiped his left arm downwards, releasing a powerful gust of wind in the form of a tornado. The tornado struck the Animal Path and three-headed dog straight on. It sent them flying upwards, both trapped within the vortex of wind.
"Onmyoton: Aohono Kanpa no Jutsu! (Yin-Yang Release: Blue Flame Cold Wave Technique)" Naruto said. He released a large stream of bluish flames from his mouth. The flames hit the tornado, and soon enough a large vortex of blue flames could be seen. After a minute or two the flames died down, only to reveal that in its place was a formation of ice in the shape of the tornado that Kogetsu had created. Trapped within the large ice formation were the Animal Path and the Three Headed dog, aware of their surroundings but unable to get free of the ice. They had little time to do anything, for with all nine of his tails, Kogetsu slammed against the frozen tornado hard. The impact caused the whole thing to shatter into tiny pieces, along with its trapped occupants. With the Animal Path now gone, the rest of Pain's summons dispersed as well.
Naruto smirked as he watched the summons vanish. "Two down, four to-" Naruto's sentence was cut off as his senses went up. Pulling out Sekirei, Naruto managed to block a chakra rod from Deva Path. Naruto tried to aim punch the Path, but Pain merely released a Shinrai Tensei that sent Naruto flying into a building. Unfortunately since he was on top of him, Pain's attack also struck Kogetsu. The gravity hit the fox's back hard, causing Kogetsu to let out a roar of pain as he was forced to the ground.
Growling, Kogetsu turned his head weakly towards Pain. "Bastard!" The Fox Chief roared as he lashed one of his tails towards the Deva Path. Pain fired another Shinrai Tensei at the tail, but not before it glowed a bright light, blinding Pain momentarily. And with his sight temporarily gone, Deva Path was unprepared when a voice cried, "Funryu Kenju! (Jet Pistol)" followed by an air projectile the size of a fist, striking him in the chest. The blow sent Pain flying backwards, crashing into several buildings. Kogetsu however dispelled back to the summoning realm, having taken to much damage from the gravity attack.
Across the street from Pain, a slightly bruised Naruto was leaning against the building he crashed into, his right arm outstretched. "I managed to land a hit on him thanks to Kogetsu-sama blinding Pain. But that won't keep him down. And with two of his Paths gone, Nagato will be able to focus more on his remaining Paths.' Naruto thought as he pulled himself out of the rubble.
"And with his summons gone, he'll probably bring the other Paths here, in order to capture you quickly." Kurama commented. "I can't tell how Sadahiko's battle is going, but I can sense that several chakra signatures have disappeared near where Yujin is. So he either knocked them out or killed them, we shouldn't have to worry about them so long as Yujin is there."
'And the clones I had scattered across the island haven't been able to find where Nagato's real body is.' Naruto added. 'I wanted to see if I could find him, but at this rate we might have to retreat. I don't want to risk the chances of getting captured by anyone and-what the hell?!'
Naruto's thoughts were cut off as several spear-tipped, golden chains appeared out of nowhere. They lunged at the young Uzumaki, trying to either impale or subdue him, Naruto didn't know. But he did make sure to get out of their range by jumping swiftly to the side, avoiding the chains. As he did, Naruto took a closer look at them. 'Uzumaki Chakra Chains? But who else on this island could…?"
Naruto's answer came as he landed on the ground, getting a good look at his attacker. The person was a woman, appearing around her early to mid thirties with a slender, but feminine build with fair skin. She had long, straight red hair, with strands of it framing both sides of her face. Her hair was kept up in a high ponytail with a blue Konoha forehead protector keeping her hair out of her eyes. Her attire consisted of the standard Konoha flak jacket over a black short-sleeved shirt and black form fitting pants that reached her calves and finally wore black shinobi sandals on her feet. But her eyes were a beautiful violet color, but seemed to lack life in them, and her sclera was a grey coloring rather then the normal white.
"No way…" Naruto muttered, as if this were a bad dream. But he knew that this wasn't a dream when he saw the grey coloring in the woman's eyes.
"That fucking snake bastard!" Kurama roared as he came to the same conclusion as Naruto.
Standing before the young redhead Uzumaki, was none other then Kushina Uzumaki, the second Jinchuuriki of Kurama and mother of Naruto Uzumaki.
(With Yujin)
Yujin's head looked up from the crater that Kiba's body had made. Around the green-skin man were several more craters, along with rising smoke, large slash marks, and other collateral damage. Also scattered about were the unconscious forms of Sasuke Uchiha, Shino Aburame and Akamaru. They had put up a decent fight, but in the end were defeated by Yujin and his Renkinjutsu (Alchemy), the ability to manipulate his body at a molecular scale as well as whatever he touches. It is a form of jutsu that only he could use, and to what helped bring birth to body-type Kekkei Genkais.
But right now Yujin's focus was on a new chakra source, having just entered the city a short moment ago. However what caught his attention was that this chakra source was familiar to him. 'This is definitely Kushina-sama's chakra. And the only way she could be here is that Orochimaru summoned her using Edo Tensei. Guess that means I need to take care of him now.'
Quickly Yujin placed his right hand against the ground, allowing the fingertips to merge with the surface. From there he sensed the presence of the other combatants on the island, to get an idea of who was still fighting or not. After a minute or two, Yujin finally confirmed it. 'Judging from the vibrations in the earth, most of the Konoha shinobi are incapacitated, while the remaining ones are fighting either the remaining Akatsuki forces or Naruto-sama's. I still can't find the snake but I have an idea where he might be. Guren-san is still fighting that Kabuto fellow though, and I should probably pick up the orange-head kid. The fighting near Sadahiko-sama's position seems to have been quelled but I can't be sure. What's more my Morekyura no Bunshin (Molecular Clone) that was searching for Nagato's true body, hasn't reported in yet.' Yujin paused as he detected something else. 'I do detect another set of chakra signatures and vibrations near where those injured Konoha-nin were, heading towards the city, but I can't worry about them right now. They're too far away-'
His thoughts were cut off as a fist, appearing out of nowhere, suddenly smashed into his face. The impact caused a large cloud of dust to rise upwards, though Yujin remained standing where he was. The owner of the arm, Tsunade Senju, merely stood in her pose, waiting for something to happen.
"Holy shit! That was fast!" Yujin declared as he moved his head away from Tsunade's fist. His actions made Tsunade jump back a safe distance away from Yujin, who merely stood where he was. The green-skin man seemed to be more focused on his nose, which seemed a bit bent out of shape, courtesy of the blonde woman's punch.
With a mere pinching the body part with his pointer finger and thumb, Yujin managed to snap the nose back into place. "I honestly did not expect you to get here so soon." Yujin commented as he watched several more people appear behind Tsunade. "Though seeing the old Hokage's Guard Platoon behind you, can't say I'm surprise. The Hirashin and all that."
Sure enough, behind Tsunade were the three members of the Yondaime Hokage's Guard Platoon; Raido Namiashi, Genma Shiranui, and Iwashi Tatami. Along with them were Shizune, Ino, Sakura, Iruka, Choji, Shikamaru, Neji, Anko and Gai. The medic-nins and some of the others also had clones of Katsuyu on their shoulders.
"Damn there are a lot of you." Yujim muttered as he rubbed the back of his head. "Kind of makes me wish Jujiro-san hadn't gone to Uzushio."
Tsunade just stared at the green-skin man. 'He took my chakra enhanced punch to the face and shrugged it off like nothing. Guess he's the cause for why most of the others are in bad shape.' She thought as she watched Sakura and Ino tend to the wounded Sasuke, Shino, Kiba and Akamaru.
"Everyone spread out and find the others. Assist them if they're in combat or wounded. Make sure to have a clone of Katsuya with you to communicate." Tsunade ordered her shinobi. The others nodded in response before dispersing, heading in different directions. That only left Tsunade and Yujin, the latter still in a relax position.
"Don't tell me you're actually going to try and fight me?" Yujin questioned the Sannin.
The busty blonde gave him a glare. "I hope you're not underestimating me?" Tsunade responded back.
"I've long since learned not to do that kind of thing." Yujin commented, waving his hand casually. "But I've also learned when a fight is pointless or not. You have no chance of bringing Naruto-sama back to Konoha, and unless you retreat now you'll definitely end up with some casualties. I can't say much for Akatsuki or Orochimaru, but I have no problem letting you guys go."
Tsuande frowned. "I'm sorry but that is impossible request. I hate doing it to the gaki, but I can't risk another village capturing him and exploiting his abilities." She replied.
"After seeing what he's done so far, you think Naruto-sama can be controlled, let alone captured?" Yujin asked. "Well I guess we can always use the dirt we got on you guys as insurance."
That made Tsunade paused. She did not like what Yujin was hinting. "What do you mean by 'dirt'?" She asked.
Calmly cleaning his ear with his finger, Yujin explained. "Well for the past four years, Narutos-sama has been gathering information on a certain warhawk within your village, and the stunts he's pulled over the years for 'the good of Konoha'." Yujin said, adding sarcasm with the last bit. "Of course, the things he did towards other villages and nations, if they were to get out… well, let's just say Konoha would have some very angry neighbors." Yujin explained. "Also it's a fifty-fifty chance that the Fire Daimyo might try and do anything to appease them, if you get what I mean."
Tsunade paled as the information sunk in, before mentally cursing Danzo. Both she and Hiruzen knew that his actions would endanger Konoha and it turns out their fears were confirmed. If what Yujin said was true then Naruto could literally turn every single nation against Konoha by revealing all the underhand activities Danzo had done over the years. Of course Tsunade could just kick out Danzo and leave him to fend for himself. But there were too many risks of doing that, with the main ones being that a civil war could erupt in Konoha or Danzo might just cause more harm if let on his own, outside the village.
Seeing Tsunade caught in her thoughts, Yujin was half tempted to knock her out here and now. But he could feel two signatures nearing the center of the city, where Hachiro was. Plus Naruto might need his help fighting Kushina, what with her chakra chains capable of suppressing Kurama's chakra. So with that in mind, Yujin sunk down into the ground and vanished, shocking Tsunade out of her thoughts. "Damn it!" She cursed, realizing that Yujin had gotten away.
(With Kakashi)
"Ugh!" Kakashi grunted. The blue ogre, Sayoku, had landed a nasty punch to the chest that sent the copy cat-nin crashing into a nearby building. He managed to recover fast enough to dodge a beheading attempt from Uyoku's axe, the red ogre.
Kakashi was now standing on the building, chakra around his feet, as he looked down at the two ogres. He had underestimated them; for two creations from Naruto's Omnyoton, the two were intelligent. And they had great teamwork, much to Kakashi's frustration. If he attacked one, the other would come to defend, with the first one backing it up with a counter. If one fought at close range, the other would back his partner up with long range attacks. Kakashi had to summarize that separately, the ogres were jonin level. But together, the two had the skills of a Kage. Worse, Kakashi was starting to feel the strain of using the Sharingan for a prolong amount of time. But without that, he wouldn't be able to keep up with the teamwork from the ogres.
His thoughts were cut off when Uyoku appeared before him, his axe raised. Pushing his feet against the building, Kakashi jumped over the red ogre just as it brought its axe down where Kakashi just was.
With its back open, Kakashi tried to deliver a Rakiri to Uyoku, only to be bashed by the edge of a shield. The impact sent Kakashi crashing into the ground below, forming a small crater shaped like him. Kakashi tried to get up but saw Sayoku coming down on him, the blue ogre's intentions of crushing the shinobi's head like a pumpkin.
However that was thwarted when a voice shouted, "Dynamic Entry!" Followed by a green blur appeared, a leg making its way at Sayoku. The blue ogre managed to raise its shield to lessen the blow, but nevertheless skidded back several feet from Kakashi and the arrived Gai. Uyoku soon landed beside its blue companion, weapon raised and ready.
"Not bad timing, Gai." Kakashi said as he got up.
"No problem my rival." Gai said as he took a fighting stance, his eyes not leaving the ogres. "Still for them to put you in such a state, these two creatures must be formidable."
"Separately, they are very skilled." Kakashi said as he got up. "But as a team, they pose quite the problem."
"Well fear not Kakashi! For now that I am here, we can show them our power of youth!" Gai said with his signature grin.
Kakashi let out a sigh at his fellow jonin's enthusiasm, though he knew Gai was telling the truth. The two of them had been going at it for so many years that, despite differences in almost everything, the two of them made a formidable team when it came down to it. 'Though those two ogres seem far more use to working together than Gai and I.' Kakashi thought.
As soon as he finished that thought, Uyoku and Sayoku shot off towards them, with the former taking the lead, weapon raised.
"Be careful! The red one goes on the offensive while the blue one stays back to defend! They're both good at close combat though!" Kakashi said to Gai. He quickly took a chakra pill after that to replenish his reserves.
"Understood! I will take on the axe-wielding ogre!" Gai replied as he and Kakashi dodged a downward strike from Uyoku's axe. Landing on the ground, Gai shot back towards the ogre, leaping into the air.
"Konoha Senpu! (Leaf Whirlwind)" Gai said as he launched a high kick at Uyoku. The red ogre raised his long-handle axe in time to block the blow. But with Uyoku distracted by the feint, Gai followed up with a low kick to the ogre's chest. However, to Gai's surprise, Uyoku used his left hand to block the kick, before pushing the jonin back. The taijutsu master managed to recover by performing a backwards flip in mid air, before safely landing on the ground.
"Its very rare to see someone to block both the high and low kick of the Konoha Senpu." Gai commented as Uyoku got back into a fighting stance. Than the jonin smiled. "Yosh, my blood is boiling with excitement!" He exclaimed before charging back towards Uyoku, releasing a wave of punches and kicks.
Back with Kakashi, the jonin was sticking to the offensive, forcing Sayoku to use his shield to protect himself from Kakashi's blows. Despite the shield deflecting them, Sayoku was slowly moving back from the relentless assault. The ogre knew that if he wanted to counter Kakashi, then he had to wait for the right moment to hit the jonin with his shield and follow that up with a powerful blow.
Unfortunately, Sayoku was unprepared for what happened next. As his left foot moved back a step, a pair of hands shot out of the ground, grabbing the ankle. Sayoku let out a yelp as he felt his balance being thrown off, his left leg being pulled into the ground a little. And because of that off balance, Sayoku's arms were flailing, leaving his body wide open for an attack by Kakashi. Said jonin jumped into the air, preparing to deliver a kick to the ogre. Sayoku managed to recover slightly, a launched a right punch, hitting Kakashi in the stomach.
The victory was short lived, however, as 'Kakashi' dispersed into lightning, revealing it to be a lightning shadow clone. The discharge of electricity enveloped Sayoku's body, shocking the ogre greatly. Sayoku could not help but let out a howl of pain as his entire form was electrocuted. Though it wasn't enough to put the ogre down, it gave time for the real Kakashi to pop out of the ground, a chidori already ready.
'Now while it's stun, I'll cut off the left leg and immobilize it!' Kakashi thought as he rushed towards Sayoku.
There was a slight miscalculation in Kakashi's plan though: by allowing Sayoku to be hurt so badly where his brother could see, the copy cat-nin angered Uyoku.
The red ogre was still fighting Gai when he saw his blue-skinned brother being hit by the lightning clone. The sight of Sayoku being hurt sent Uyoku into a frenzy to save his brother. Acting quickly, Uyoku brought his axe down on Gai, only for the taijutsu master to dodge it by jumping to the air. And before the ogre could pull his weapon out, Gai struck the axe with his foot, burying the weapon deeper into the ground, thus leaving Uyoku opened for an attack.
"Konoha Goriki Senpu! (Leaf Strong Whirlwind)" Gai shouted as he launched a fast and powerful spinning back kick at Uyoku's head. Combined with incredible speed, along with Uyoku still holding his axe and thus unable to move, Gai was certain his powerful kick would connect.
But Gai underestimated Uyoku again. Driven with the desire to save his brother, Uyoku let go of his weapon's handle. This allowed the ogre to lean backwards, dodging the powerful kick, much to Gai's surprise. And before the jonin could recover, Uyoku rose back up and quickly grabbed Gai's outstretched leg. The ogre than followed it up with a strong swing, and threw Gai right towards Kakashi, who was about to bring strike Sayoku's leg with his Raikiri.
Kakashi could do little more than widen his eyes, as Gai slammed into him. The blow sent both jonins crashing into the building directly behind them. Uyoku than ran towards his brother, hurryingly getting Sayoku's left leg out of the hole and try to wake the blue ogre up.
Meanwhile, Kakashi and Gai were already trying to get out of the crater the two of them had made. "You know, I just realized something Gai." Kakashi said as he his fellow jonin got off of him.
"Ugh, and what is that my eternal rival?" Gai asked as he rubbed his head, his hair somehow having kept its shape.
"If Naruto created these ogres…then it's a good bet that they have his unpredictability." Kakashi stated. Gai gave a small chuckle, but it was cut off when the ground shook violently for a moment. After that, everyone looked up to see a light shining over the buildings, originating from the city's center.
(At the same time of Gai's and Kakashi's battle, with Naruto)
Naruto jumped back to avoid another bladed chain. Said chakra chain hit the ground, leaving a hole the size of a hand. Several more golden chains shot forward towards the blonde, who was now using Sekirei to parry the chains. His opponent, his own mother, Kushina, was slowly walking forward. Golden chains were popping out of her back as they attacked Naruto. Her eyes possessed a blank look in them a sign that her free will was being suppressed.
'I've always wanted to meet my mother, but not like this…' Naruto thought grimly as he parried another chain.
"I hope you're not letting your emotions get the best of you kit. While I can understand how you feel, right now is not the time for you to get soft." Kurama said.
'I know that.' Naruto responded, surprising the bijuu a little. 'If I die, Kiko-chan will be left all alone. I can't afford that, but right now mom is not making this easy for me, especially with those chains of hers.'
It was true, the Adamantine Chains of the Uzumaki Clan were definitely proving a problem for Naruto. And while all members of said clan can use the chakra chains to compress a target's chakra, through training of course, Kushina's were a special case, as they could completely seal off a person's chakra, even a bijuu's chakra. Naruto had learned that when he tried to reach her in his biju chakra cloak, only for it to be sealed when one of Kushina's chains nearly grabbed his wrist. So for now Naruto could not use the cloak, nor could he get close to Kushina without one of those chains smacking him. Kushina also possessed a few Suton jutsus and other forms of ninjutsu, her skills in taijustu, as well as combining it with her chains, made it even harder for Naruto to immobilize her.
'Could be worse' Naruto thought. 'Pain might be here.'
And as if fate decided to bully him, a force of gravity struck him from behind, sending both him and Kushina flying. 'Okay, I should have seen that coming.' Naruto noted as he managed to stabilize himself. Behind him, the reincarnated Kushina had lost an arm and leg from the gravity attack, though they were slowly reforming.
Naruto's focus now was on Pain, who had suddenly appeared in front of the Uzumaki. A chakra rod forming from underneath his sleeve, the two engaged each other at close combat, their weapons clashing with one another. As their weapons struck one another, Naruto couldn't help but noticed that Pain's moves were a lot more ferocious, but at the same time, more focused.
'Could have another of his Paths been destroyed?' Naruto wondered. If that was the case than Nagato was now able too focus his attention on his Deva Path. But that also meant he would be trying to capture Naruto quicker before either Konoha's people or Naruto's people came to reinforce the jinchuuriki. Time was now against Nagato, so he intended to wrap this up quickly.
However, that also made him reckless, something Naruto capitalized on. As the Deva Path performed another thrust with his chakra rod, Naruto stepped to the side rather than deflect it. As Pain's arm went past him, Naruto immediately grabbed it with his left hand. With his right hand, Naruto raised it above him, preparing to use Sekirei to behead the Path.
But Pain responded quickly. With swift movement, Pain managed to sweep his right leg against Naruto's, knocking the young Uzumaki's off his feet. His balance gone, Naruto began to fall backwards. Still, he managed to bring his sword downwards, forcing Pain back. The crimson blade managed to cut the shinobi headband in two, and leave a large tear in the Akatsuki cloak.
Pain quickly raised his left hand. "Bansho Ten'in!" He yelled.
Naruto soon found himself being pulled towards the Deva Path by an invisible force of gravity. He was also unprepared when the Asura Path suddenly appeared before him, hands outstretched to grab the jinchuuriki. "Shit!" Naruto cursed. There would no time for him to counter due to the force of gravity.
"Meiton: Inuboozuki! (Dark Release: Nightshade)" A voice shouted.
Suddenly the area was engulfed by pitch-black darkness, like the sun itself was turned off. Neither Naruto nor the Paths could see a thing within the darkness. After a few seconds the sound of something being smashed could be heard, and the darkness soon disappeared. When the area returned to normal, Deva Path and Naruto were both okay, but Asura Path was in ruins. The body had been ripped in two and smashed to pieces.
This surprised Pain, and while he was trying to figure out what happened, Naruto smirked. "I wasn't expecting you to be here, Jujiro." He said.
Standing behind Naruto was a person. A man who appeared to be in his mid thirties and had light-tan skin, yellow eyes, and dark purple hair that was combed back, reaching the man's neck. He was wearing a long grey coat, with a white collar, cuffs, and lines going over the sleeves. On the back of the coat was the yin-yang symbol. Under the coat he wore a sleeveless black vest, long-sleeve, navy blue shirt under that, and black, fingerless gloves. Wrapped around the waist and holding the coat, was a black belt. On his legs, he wore navy blue trousers and a knee-length, grey sandal boots.
"Sorry about the unannounced arrival Naruto-san. But one of the scouts from Uzushio spotted a boat from the mainland, filled with Konoha shinobi, approaching the island, I figured I should come." The man named Jujiro replied.
"By the way, was this person a friend of the one I cut down?" Jujiro asked. Raising his left arm, he revealed the severed head of Naraka Path. "I found him skulking about in the city a while ago."
Deva Path had a surprised look on his face, surprised at seeing another of his Paths defeated. Naruto however had a smirk on his face. "I was wondering why I only sensed a few of those guys left. Though I'd expect nothing less from a Dark Release user like you, Jujiro. And since you're here you could-"
Whatever Naruto was going to ask for was cut off when the ground began to shake briefly. All around the city, the combatants paused as the quake reached them, with a few losing their balance. Following afterwards, a beam of purple light shot up to the sky, from the center of the city. It let out a wave of what many would describe as dread and terror, as if a demon had been awaken from slumber.
Those who were with Naruto had an inkling of what that meant. But only Naruto, Yujin, and Sadahiko understood the full meaning of this. "Naruto-san, this is…" Jujiro inquired as he looked from the pillar of purple towards said Uzumaki.
Naruto had a look on his face that seemed like a mix of shock, anger and fear as his eyes stared at the light. The words that left his lips spelled out what this all meant. "H-Hachiro Kishin's seal has been released!"

Explanation of Uzumaki Kenpo: Hado (Wave Motion):
Focuses chakra through the body (in normal cases, would be dangerous, but thanks to the Uzumaki advanced healing factor, that is canceled), and increases the user's physical strength, speed, durability, reflexes, endurance etc. At the same time, allows them to release powerful shockwaves or concussive force of released energy at their opponents for range and melee attacks. While also able to cause internal damage at close range fighting too, releasing the force from the user's body into the opponent's body, taking the appearance of a pulse. The effects though depend on the user's physical condition and can also be transferred through objects they are holding too. The style also enables an Uzumaki to absorb kinetic energy so that it can be added to their physical prowess and Uzumaki members can even add a layer of "armor" around their body or specific body parts, for increase defense and offense. And since it is not from chakra the techniques cannot be absorbed.
