Feeling the gazes of everyone on him, Mirai raised an eyebrow and quipped,
"What are you all staring at? Start cleaning up the battlefield!"
"Yes, Mirai-sama!"
At his words, all the Konoha shinobi immediately sprang into action, feigning diligence as they began tidying up the battlefield. Though, to be fair, there wasn't much left to clean after the devastation wrought by Susanoo.
Strictly speaking, Minato Namikaze was the commander of this war. Whether to pursue the enemy or to clean up should have been his call. Yet, no one questioned Mirai's orders.
This teenager, who had just demonstrated unparalleled power, had firmly established his authority in the hearts of everyone present.
Besides…
Without Mirai, who knew how many lives would have been lost today to secure this victory?
With his blend of might and leadership, Mirai had garnered undeniable respect and influence among the Konoha shinobi.
Watching this unfold, Minato didn't seem particularly bothered. He shared a good relationship with Mirai, and after such an easy victory—entirely due to Mirai's efforts—it was only natural for him to defer on these matters.
Approaching Mirai, Minato hesitated for a moment before speaking,
"Mirai, that power you just used..."
"The Mangekyō Sharingan," Mirai answered directly.
Now that he possessed sufficient strength, there was no longer any need to hide it. Keeping secrets was tiresome, and he'd rather avoid unnecessary constraints.
Besides, his true trump cards weren't just the Mangekyō abilities, Takamagahara and Sarutahiko-no-Mikoto, but also the system.
"Mangekyō Sharingan?" Minato's eyes widened, his breath catching.
As a disciple of Jiraiya, Minato had been privy to many secrets. He was aware of the Mangekyō Sharingan's existence, but he never expected Mirai to possess such legendary power.
"By the way," Minato continued curiously, "the ability to use Magnet Release—was that also thanks to your eyes?"
Mirai blinked, momentarily caught off guard, but quickly masked his surprise and nodded. "Sharp as always, Minato."
Minato scratched the back of his head sheepishly. "I just made a wild guess. After all, if not for the Mangekyō Sharingan, I couldn't think of another explanation for you mastering Magnet Release."
Lowering his voice, Minato leaned closer to Mirai. "Mirai, does your Mangekyō Sharingan… allow you to copy even kekkei genkai?"
It made sense, didn't it? If the regular Sharingan could replicate standard jutsu, it wasn't far-fetched to think the Mangekyō Sharingan could copy advanced techniques or even kekkei genkai.
"His imagination's running wild," Mirai mused internally.
Minato's speculation not only provided a convenient cover for the powers Mirai had acquired but also concealed the true abilities of his Mangekyō Sharingan.
"That's a secret," Mirai replied in a hushed tone. "Don't let it slip."
Minato's expression turned solemn as he nodded. "Don't worry, Mirai. I won't breathe a word of this to anyone."
Even though Minato suspected that others might arrive at the same conclusion after witnessing Mirai's abilities, he still resolved to keep the secret.
"Alright, if there's nothing else, I'm heading back to rest."
As Mirai began to walk away, Minato called out hesitantly, "Mirai, wait a moment."
Turning back, Mirai raised a brow. "What is it?"
Minato flashed his trademark grin. "You've only recently awakened your Mangekyō Sharingan, right?"
"Yeah. So?"
"Then you probably haven't had time to name your new abilities yet, have you?"
"...And?"
"I just came up with a super cool name!" Minato declared confidently. "I know it might be presumptuous of me, but I have a knack for naming things."
Mirai's expression froze as Minato unveiled his idea with great enthusiasm.
"How about… Copy Mangekyō Ultimate Dance of Kekkei Supreme Style Version Three? Sounds awesome, doesn't it?"
The corner of Mirai's mouth twitched. He suddenly recalled that Minato had a reputation for being terrible at naming things.
Patting Minato on the shoulder, Mirai sighed. "That's… a great name. But maybe don't try naming things again in the future."
"Minato, you're unique. Don't waste your talents on something like this."
As Mirai walked away, Minato scratched his head in confusion.
"Wait, did he agree or not? At least make it clear!"
Once the two left, the Konoha shinobi began murmuring among themselves.
"Whew! Now that Mirai's gone, I feel like I can finally breathe. The pressure was intense."
"Right? Who knew the Uchiha clan's kekkei genkai could be this powerful? No wonder they were able to establish Konoha alongside the Senju clan."
"Just thinking back to Mirai in action gives me chills. If I had to face him, I'd probably give up on the spot."
"Exactly. Taking out over 500 Sunagakure shinobi in one move… terrifying."
"Actually, it wasn't one move. There were only 500 Sunagakure shinobi to begin with…"
Their admiration grew with each retelling, drawing more and more shinobi into the discussion.
"I mean, he practically crushed Sunagakure's forces singlehandedly."
"Even the Third Hokage, known as the strongest in Konoha's history, probably couldn't have pulled this off."
"With someone like Mirai protecting the village, I feel so reassured."
"When we get back, I'm telling everyone about this. They won't believe it!"
"Haha, same here!"
In his room, Mirai activated the barrier he'd set up, then began assessing his gains from the battle.
With a thought, a translucent blue interface appeared before him.
