บท 6: Gentle Fang
It's been a year since I've regained my memories,I've started training with my grandfather for 6 months now learning the Hyuga's signature Taijustsu technique,The gentle fist, a hand to hand combat technique that focuses on attacking the opponent's 361 chakra points and injecting a small amount of the user's own chakra to inflict internal damage and hinder chakra flow.
Since I've got experience in martial arts and knowledge of acupuncture,needless to say that I picked up gentle fist relatively quickly,although I still here difficulty injecting my chakra, my techniques are very solid.
"This kid is a genius Higeki!"The old man said to Higeki with a smug smile and then added "although his chakra control isn't perfect,his skills are already comparable to your grandfather's when he was ten!"he added.
"Really Dad?Wasn't grandfather a genius in Taijustu?He even modified gentle fist to create the gentle fang after all-"Higeki added with a gleam in his eyes.
While Higeki was busy being proud of his son,Kuki was confused by his dad's statement,"Gentle fang?What's a gentle fang dad?"Kuki asked innocently.
"Oh yeah,we haven't told you, listen son"Higeki added as Kuki nodded intently,Higeki continues "After your great great grandfather fled from Konoha to the land of iron years ago,he had your great grandfather,a prodigy in taijutsu comparable to likes of the main branch Huyga family members, after they discovered that our family fled, the main family activated the cursed seals our family's heads, killing everyone in our family except for your great grandfather."
The old man continues Higeki's words"that's right, although he was only able to learn parts of gentle fist after his father's death,he some managed to perfect it on his own.Not only that,before he died,he managed to create a brand new style of taijustu using the hyuga's gentle fist as a base with the sole intention to surpass and counter the Hyuga's style.His hatred for them runs deep, unfortunately,before he could complete the style, he passed away leaving me an incomplete gentle fang with only two techniques"
"Wow!an original style!He really is a genius!But since the style is incomplete,is it strong ,grandpa?"the young Kuki asked curiously.
"While I haven't managed to complete it,I have completely mastered what he taught me,I can confirm that it's really strong!There's a reason people still call him the Crimson Haze to this day, you know?His attacks were fast and lethal,the mere sight of him commands respect,he once even sparred with the samurai general at the time and won"The old man chuckled.
"Now that I think about it ,Kuki, I think you're proficient enough in the gentle fist to learn the gentle fang now, we'll start tomorrow okay?"As the old man finish his sentence Kuki was already nodding intensely with stars in his eyes
"Kuki I think that I should start teaching you too"Higeki said to his son
"What can you teach me dad?"Kuki spoke with genuine curiosity, causing Higeki to frown.
"Cmon kid, I know I seem silly at times and I don't know the gentle fist since i have no Byakugan,your old man is still a honorable samurai of the land of iron!You'll learn Kenjustu from me"Higeki said with a grin.
"But didn't you lose to Isane last time when you fought in the yard?"Kuki's mother who appeared seemingly out of nowhere jabbed at her boastful husband.
"Moe,that doesn't count!Isane is a samurai captain,how could I win against that?"Higeki signed as his wife chuckled at his childish behavior.
"Don't worry dad ,I'm sure you'll teach me better than uncle Isane can!"Kuki said as he tried to encourage his father.
"Kukiiiiiiii,you really are the cutest!!"he said as he hugged his son tightly and then quietly added"unlike your mother.."right after he said that,he felt a sudden chill run down his spine as he turned his head back to see his wife was a ominous smile "I heard that,dear"Kuki's mother said with a strange smile on her face. his grandfather could only sign" you dug your own grave this time ,Higeki.."
