บท 7: Chapter 7: Promises are meant to be kept
< POV Hinata >
'This last 3 days there were no classes in the ninja academy. They didn't give any kind of reason for the sudden vacation. I was a little distressed that I can't watch over Sasuke-kun but since it's like this it can't be helped. At this time, I will play with Hanabi.'
While I was thinking that I heard my father and the elders talking about the Uchiha clan got massacred overnight. Hearing this I felt pain in my heart, I saw Sasuke-kun's image in my mind.
"Is he okay? Is he alive?" My eyes started to water the moment I heard this.
But I simply can't ask my father about this. They will not tell me as they don't have any good impression of me.
So, I tried to listen to all the things they were saying, hoping I will know about Sasuke-kun's situation.
I got relieved knowing that Sasuke-kun was the only survivor. But then they said that this was done by Sasuke-Kun's big brother. I was stunned at this moment.
"How can this be? The few times I met with him, he was so kind and a good person."
Sasuke-kun must be heartbroken by knowing this. He was always about his brother. He always wanted to be like his big brother. But I don't believe that Itachi-san can do this.
'What should I do? I heard that Sasuke kun is in the hospital. Should I go visit him?'
'Yeah. I should. I promised Itachi-san that I will look after Sasuke-kun. Now that Sasuke-kun is all alone. I should visit him.'

At this time, Hanabi came to where Hinata was. She shook Hinata as she was not answering to her. At this moment Hinata woke up from her thoughts and looked at Hanabi.
"Why are you crying big sister?"
"Huh? I… I am not crying. Do you need something?"
"I came to play with you, big sister. But you don't look good. What happened? Tell me."
Hinata looked down and told Hanabi,
"It's about one of my classmates. He suddenly lost all of his relatives and is all alone. I was thinking of visiting him in the hospital."
"Oh. Are you talking about Sasuke Uchiha? Yeah, I heard about him, too. He's really unfortunate."
"Yeah.", said Hinata in a sad voice.
Seeing the worry and hesitating in her big sister Hanabi came near to her and hugged her.
"Big sister. I heard that this Sasuke Uchiha is very handsome, and all of the girls of your classmate are in love with her. Are you also like that?", Hanabi said in a teasing voice as he wanted to lighten up the mood.
Hinata in a shaky voice said to Hanabi, "Wh… what are you talking about? It… it's not like that."
Still hugging her big sister, Hanabi thought this might be from her big sister's kindness as she is very kind with everyone. So, she said,
"Is that so? Then can I come with you to visit Sasuke-San, big sister?"
"Hu.. huh. If you want to come, then you can come."
-< Konoha Hospital >-
'The Hokage said to be sure I don't have any hidden danger I should stay in the hospital for some time. This is not a bad idea. I can sort out my thoughts and feelings in this time and what my goal should be for the future.'
Sasuke looked at his hand then put it in his eyes and thought,
"I have awakened my Sharingan. Maybe I should keep this hidden for the time being. I don't want to keep any hidden danger."
Then he clenched his fist, there was rage flowing in his eyes, it was like it was about to overflow as he was thinking about his nemesis.
"Why, Itachi? Why? You were not like this? What could have changed you?"
At this moment, there was a knock on the door, but Sasuke was not in the mind to respond as he didn't even notice.
Hinata came in with a little girl about the age of 3 or 4 with her. She looked at Sasuke's absent minded and rage filled face and felt heartache. She called Sasuke in a low voice,
"Sa… Sasuke-kun."
Finally, breaking out of his thoughts, Sasuke noticed two girls in front of him. One was at the same age as him who has a face full of worry and the other is a little girl who looked at him with a face full of curiosity.
Finally, Sasuke looked at Hinata neither angry nor smiling and said,
"Oh. It's you Hinata."
"Are you alright, Sasuke-kun?"
"Are you worried about me? Don't be because I am alright."
"Sasuke-kun. I know what you are feeling and it's alright to share your sorrow with others."
As Hinata was saying this, from the side Hanabi said in her childish voice,
"Why are you guys ignoring me? Big sister, I also came to visit him. Shouldn't you introduce me to him?"
Hearing this Hinata felt awkward and looked at Sasuke who was looking at this little girl who was also glaring at him.
"Sa… Sasuke-Kun. She's my little sister, Hanabi. She's a little kid so she doesn't understand your feelings now, don't mind her behaviour."
Hearing this, Hanabi pouted and said, "hmph. Big sister. I have told you many times I am not a little kid anymore I have grown up."
Then she looked at Sasuke and said, "Hey. Don't be sad, okay? See, me and my big sister have come to comfort you."
Hearing this, Hinata became embarrassed and held Hanabi's mouth and said to Hanabi, "We should go now. Sasuke-Kun looks tired and needs rest. We will visit him again."
After saying this, Hinata started dragging Hanabi, who said she still wanted to say something. When Hinata was in front of the door she looked back at Sasuke who was also looking at them and said,
"Sasuke-Kun. Don't always keep everything to yourself, if you ever want to share what you are feeling I will always be there to listen."
At this moment, Hanabi somehow managed to remove Hinata's hand from her mouth and said in a loud voice,
"Me too. I will be there to listen with big sister too."
Hinata kept dragging Hanabi and they left.
The whole time Sasuke didn't say anything as he was finding it difficult to suppress his desire to laugh.
After both the Hyuga sisters were gone, Sasuke revealed a little smile.
