บท 1: Ch 1 - Fox Hunt
Fox hunt a general term used by the civilians in Konoha for hunting the village pariah.
Today was October tenth in Konoha, the hidden leaf village. The people of this village were out celebrating the victory over the nine tailed demon fox eight years earlier. For most people, this would be a day of fun and spending time with family and friends. But for one blond haired boy named Naruto Uzumaki, he was doing his best to stay hidden from the villagers to avoid another beating. He didn't know for sure why the villagers hated him, but from hearing all the names he was always called, he had a pretty good idea. He just had no way of finding out for sure.
Taking a turn down an alley to avoid a crowd of people, he ran as fast as he could to the village edge and sneaked into one of the abandoned training grounds. The rumored illusionary Forrest. When he started to wandered around the forest he reached a small cave. Curiosity got the best of him so he decided to go inside. He continued to go forward until he saw something that caught his interest.
In the center of the cave was a blue sheathed Katana with a white handle on a pedestal of stone. On the upper part of the sheathe just below were the blade was pulled out, were words that Naruto did not understood. Touching the blade, the markings/writing suddenly glowed. Naruto looks at the writing carefully then the writings change into a language for him to understand and that said 'Yamato'
"Yamato?" Naruto asked in confused and suddenly the sheath started to glow bright and that force him to cover his eyes. Slowly the light faded away and Naruto finally opened his eyes and found himself in new area. The place had dark cloudy skies, concrete paved roads and a single building that looked a lot sturdier than any building in the village. It had a glowing sign that read 'Devil May Cry'
Naruto out of curiosity walked inside the building, what greeted him was the sight of a man eating what seemed like a cheese covered flat bread?
"Why, hello there little one what are you doing here?" A voice said. Naruto turns around to see a beautiful young(?) woman. She had blond hair, brown eyes and was wearing a form fitting black leather shirt and pants. Before Naruto could respond another voice interrupted them.
"Trish" A voice called Naruto saw the man that was eating the cheese flat bread earlier notice them. He had quite the handsome feature with white hair, he was wearing black clothes, and pants under a red cloak.
"Hello, Dante" Trish said and then Dante walks and stops beside her, he gave Trish a peck on the lips and was about to talk when he suddenly noticed a blushing Naruto.
"Hello there." Dante said as he approaches him and kneels down to his level. Naruto just wave shyly at him.
"Who are you kid?" Dante asked.
"Naruto, Naruto Uzumaki" Naruto introduced himself and Dante stood up.
"I'm Dante and this woman here is the love of my life but you can call her Trish." Dante said and Trish just rolled her eyes at him, but smiled at Naruto.
"Anyway what are you doing or should I say how did you get here?" Dante asked and Naruto just tilted his head to side with confused look on his face.
Naruto started to explain what happened after running away from the civilians after he was done the two were surprised by this.
"You poor child" Trish said as he engulfed Naruto in a hug. Naruto felt warm inside, she was the first ever person aside from his Jiji that had ever hugged him and treated like a normal child instead of a Demon. Naruto let out a few tears subconsciously, Dante saw this and he pat his head affectionately until he calmed down.
Dante approached Trish and whispered.
"Trish do you think that he's the one." Trish then whispered to him.
"I think, remember the dream that we were having and someone told us about a prophecy that someone will show up through Yamato and will be destined to save the world." Trish whispered and Dante nodded at her then they turned back their attention to Naruto.
"Umm, do you any of you know how will I return home?" Naruto asked and the two nodded at him.
"Yes Naruto but first there something you need to know." Dante said and Naruto nodded at him.
"Naruto, the reason why you were brought here is because of a prophecy." Dante said.
"Prophecy?" Naruto asked confused and Dante and Trish nodded at him.
"Yes the Prophecy told us that one day someone will appear here through Yamato; is the one that will save the world." Trish said.
"Huh?" Naruto asked in confused and the two adults sighs but just nodded at each other. They knew that Naruto was too young to know these things.
"Anyway, we wanted to say that reason that you're here is because you are going to be trained by us." Dante stated and Naruto eyes widen in shock and then a big grin appeared on his face.
"Alright I'm finally going to be trained!" Naruto shouted happily while the two look at him confused.
"What do you mean by that Naruto?" Trish asked and Naruto suddenly had a sad look on his face and the two devils frowned at this.
"Naruto what's wrong?" Dante asked and Naruto started to tell his story. How other people at the academy had tried to hinder his growth and that no one apart from Iruka-sensei had actually helped him. Naruto always knew, but never really spoke about it as he was scared that they might do something worse if he did.
Both devils felt anger and dissapointment towards the village and even begun to question what the Hokage was doing. 'To think they would even hinder a childs growth, truly pathetic' Trish thought.
Dante place a hand on Naruto shoulder and Naruto look up to see that Dante was smiling at him.
"Don't worry Naruto once we're done training you. You will be strongest hero/devil that they will ever see." Dante said and Naruto look at him with wide eyes then look at Trish who nodded at him with smile on her face. Naruto grinned and nodded at them.
"Hai!" Naruto chirped happily and the three of them walk towards the interior; for Naruto to start his training.
