บท 40: Vision 11 - Plaza Incident?(3)
As I went out of the office, the effect of the items inside Lisa's office disappeared.

[ The Nubecula 'Whose Heart Bleeds For Heartbroken' comments " Shut it. " ]

[ The Nubecula 'Gumiho' comments " I want in on the fun as well. " ]

At some point, these Nubeculas stopped bugging me about the barrier, but then they started speculating about what I do inside the office.
I ignored them and looked to the side. I saw two people in the hallway walking toward me.
" Good afternoon Assistant professor. "
" Good afternoon Sir Arthur. "
They were Ducas and Valerie. They greeted me, I also greeted them back.
" Good afternoon. Why are you both here? "
It was the place where only offices of professors and assistants are situated, there was no need for students to be here unless they want to meet one of the faculty.
" We are here to submit the assignment of the last class. "
Valerie spoke while extending a file to me. The red-haired girl didn't show the same animosity as before, it was definitely better but she was often showing her competitiveness in front of Lisa.
I nodded and took the file from her hand.
" I will document it. "
Even though Lisa had classes every day, she still gave assignments for each of her classes with a time duration of one week, they are supposed to be very difficult.
Even with that time limit I always get two assignments on the next day the assignments were given, Valerie's was one of them.
" I am still working on mine, Sir Arthur. "
Ducas spoke with an awkward smile. Valerie and Ducas became good friends, she must have found him trustworthy, Ducas was a pure-hearted man after all.
I nodded my head and spoke casually.
" Yes. You don't need to rush it, do it right. "
" I agree. It is better to do it right than fast. "
Valerie spoke after me. Ducas also smiled and nodded his head but a frown soon appeared on his face.
" Sir Arthur you look tired. "
I raised an eyebrow at his comment. I was pretty tired actually, the talk with Lisa was a little overbearing. I did something which will impact the future, I have to be careful about my actions, many things could have gone wrong.
" Yes. I am tired actually. "
At my honest remark Valerie showed a beaming smile.
" Ahh. Then why don't you come with us? Me and Ducas are going to get something for lunch. "
Lunch, huh? I looked towards the big clock across the hall. It was about to be two O'clock. I guess I should get lunch.
" Sure. "
I put the files inside my own office and went with Ducas and Valerie. We pass by the reception area, Todd was sitting at the desk with his usual unintrested eyes.
He bowed his head a little to show his respect, I did the same and then I looked towards the staircase as a completely random question surfaced on my mind.
" Miss Valerie, How many floors are there in 'Trivia'? "
Valerie looked at me. Her expression seemed to me like she didn't find my question out of the situation but I am sure it must have been random.
" hm? Six floors. "
I contemplated at her words. 'Trivia' was six floored mansion, it was not too much but each floor was very wide and long with many rooms, so six floors were enough.
" Why do you ask, Sir Arthur? "
Valerie might have not shown her curiosity but Ducas did. He couldn't understand, why I suddenly asked for the number of floors out of nowhere. I spoke as we walked.
" I am planning on visiting the sixth floor in the future. "
" Sixth floor? "
Ducas made a confused expression. It han't been long since we came to Trivia, so Ducas is not aware with all legends of the school.
But Valerie did.
" Umm. Assistant professor, There is nothing on that floor, it is barren. "
Valerie was right, even though the mansion had six floors, only five floors are being currently used. There is a story stating that the sixth floor used to belong to Hekate, so no one goes there.
" I know. I am planning on visiting out of pure curiosity. "
I said that, but it was not only for my curiosity. According to the knowledge I have through my previous dreams. In the future, a hidden script will be generated on the sixth floor. It was an important script and I want to clear it.
In my dreams that hidden script caused huge chaos, the sixth floor was locked out so that nobody could access it, and for good reason.
After walking for a while, we reached the area of the city which is known as 'Plaza'. I have seen this plaza in my dreams, but it was still a new feeling. Unlike in my dreams where I had no control, right now I was able to see around and observe other people.
The Plaza was very beautiful with a garden with a large fountain in the middle. I could see couples walking inside the garden, some were sitting on the edge of the fountain, playing with the water in it.
The streets were clean and carriages could be seen moving around. There was also all type of shops and I could see people in beautiful medieval style dress all over the place.
" Sir Arthur this is your first time visiting the city right? "
Suddenly Ducas asked a question to which Valerie looked at me, intriguingly.
" Huh? Is it really, Sir Arthur? "

[ The Nubecula 'Raziel' comments " You should go out more often. "]

I guess Raziel is sympathizing with me again, he is becoming more like a colleague from work to me. Kafziel should give him more time to rest.
I nodded to her question as we walked down the street. Valerie was a little surprised that it was my first time visiting the city.
When I came to the 'Brimos' I went straight to meet with Lisa. I came here after screwing the church and I was also avoiding Ducas who was following me at that time.
After meeting with Lisa, Todd took me to the room where I am currently staying. And after that, I never really had to go out of the 'Trivia'.
'Trivia' itself is too big and I am always busy. I had to prepare the materials for the classes, Ducas took care of my food, I just gave him the money and he usually bought the food and delivered it to me.
So technically I had no reason to visit the city. But I felt refreshed walking through the street like this.
As I was enjoying my stroll, Persephone voice calm and beautiful spoke to me.
" There are some people following us. "
Apparently, there were people following us since we left Trivia's premises.
I look around but the street and shops were filled with people, even if I knew who was following us it will be very hard to find those people. So, I decided not to think about it, I will deal with it if they make the first move.
We walked for a while then I saw a fancy restaurant. It looked very beautiful from the outside. Tall building covered with some yellow-diamon-cut glass, which I could only assume were windows. Even people around the tall restaurant looked Royals to me. I walked over to the entrance, a grand and beautiful door. A person in a butler uniform greeted us and opened the door.
" Welcome to Palms sky vila. I hope you have a great time. "
I looked at the man - who seemed professional enough to work at five star hotel back on earth, and then directly went inside. Ducas and Valerie followed behind me, then Ducas called from behind,
" Umm? Sir Arthur? "
" What? "
I noticed a little uncertainty in his voice. I spoke without looking back, the place around me was very beautiful that I didn't want to turn.
Ducas gazed at my calm behavior and spoke with a little more confidence than before.
" Sir it is Palms. "
" So what? "
Why is he telling me the name of the place? the doorman already told us that. As I didn't understand his reaction, Valerie realized I was confused by this intraction and spoke in a very low voice.
" Professor Arthur, this is the most expensive place in the entire city. "
It was like that. People with me were worried about the expenses, but I already knew that this was the most expensive place, that is why I chose to come here.
" Follow me. "
I didn't say anything else and walked into the long hall towards the reception desk. Money? Why would I care about that? I had so much money that it is going to rot if I don't spend it like this.
As I reached the desk, A man, in black suit over a white cream shirt and matching hat placed till his temples, greeted us while eyeing Ducas and Valerie behind me.
" Good afternoon Sirs, Madam. "
" Please take us to your most comfortable place. I would prefer it if I also have a beautiful view as well. "
The receptionist smiled at my response and motioned us to follow him. I walked behind him, Ducas and Valerie hesitated a little but they followed me.
The receptionist took us to the room on the top floor. The room was really luxurious, it had a comfortable maroon color sofa with a table, and the room had a matching maroon-colored velvet curtains. It also had a very large window from which the whole city was visible.
" I hope you like this room. "
" It is perfect. "
I walked inside the room with a beaming smile and went straight for the sofa in the middle. It was very comfortable.
" I will get you a menu. "
The middle-aged man went back, to get the menu. When he left ,Ducas and Valerie came inside the room and sat on the couch in front of me.
" Professor Arthur is this okay? "
" Yes, Sir Arthur. We don't have to come here, it is very expensive. "
" Don't worry about it. "
I waved my hand at them. I wanted to eat at a luxurious place like this. I have never done it before.
" It is a treat. I am giving my treat as an assistant professor to my students. "
" It is too much. "
" I am paying for it, Miss Valerie. "
" Sir Arthur, you never change. "
Now, what the hell is this boy talking about? I didn't understand why they are being so difficult. I am paying for it. If I said this to someone back on earth there is no way they would miss out on it, even overcharge me.
Recalling an embarrassing moment of this little incident, I tried to suppressed a bitter smiled that was leaking to appear on my face.
Valerie looked at Ducas, to explain why he said his last remark. She was also curious about his comment. Ducas was about to say something when a lady came with a menu in her hand.
Ducas closed his mouth and sat straight, Valerie did the same. I took the menu from the lady's hand while making an eye contact with her and smiled. The lady blushed a little but gave a mature smile back.
A snort that only I could hear reached my ear. I broke the eye contact at this and browse the list. It had many food lists with various varieties, it was truly fitting for a fancy place like this.
I ordered an expensive steak dish and the most expensive wine. Ducas and Valerie ordered what they wanted to eat, then the lady went out to bring our food.
I casually looked out of the window like I was enjoying the beautiful atmosphere and the sight the moment offered us.
-Are they still nearby?
I spoke to Persephone through the chatbox, this item was really useful.
" They are not inside this hotel, but they are observing you all from the roof of the house."
I didn't choose this place only because I wanted to eat expensive food, but because it will be hard for anyone to follow us here. They at least had to pretend to eat even if the want to follow - whoever among us three they are trying to follow - and prices here are not cheap.
I look out of the window, and I could see many people on the street and many houses along with shops that are visible as well.
Persephone also looked out of the window and spoke.
" Look straight through the window you might be able to see them. "
I look at the roof of the houses. I didn't see anything out of ordinary, but one of the houses has a chimney on top of it. I concluded they might be there.
Soon the food arrived, it looked very delicious, I was genuinely impressed by the process of arranging and decorating food to enhance its presentation.

The food looked tasty enough for even Nubeculas to get excited. I urged the other two people who were present beside me. Ducas was looking at food with his mouth open, but Valerie seemed her normal self.
We all soon start eating our food.
" Sir Arthur, please tell us about yourself. "
I was drinking some wine, when Valerie spoke. Ducas also looked at me with a fork in his mouth. Valerie must be interested in the person who took the position she wanted and I never told anything about me to Ducas.
I casually spoke and took a sip of wine.
" I have nothing to tell. You probably have already seen my application, that is all I have. "
I already know that almost everyone has seen the application that I submitted, Everyone was just that curious about me.
" That is very hard to believe. "
Valerie spoke while gracefully taking a bite from her fork. She didn't believe that the information on the application was right. I know that, the form was basically blank, but it could also be another reason.
" I guess people who hide their identity would know. "
I also spoke while looking at wine inside the cup as I swirling the fluid in circular motion. But As soon as I spoke there was a silence, Valerie was a little surprised by my words and Ducas was looking at me.
" I am not sure. "
Valerie acted like she didn't know what I was talking about. I guess it was time I had a talk with this princess. I put down the wine glass and spoke like I trying to make deal that I won't loose.
" Let's have a talk, Grace-Highness Miss Davison "
