บท 57: Have You Been Waiting For Me?

Lilia hung up the phone and went over to the car. She stopped beside the opened car's window where she could clearly see Jean's face.

"How do you know I'm here? Are you spying on me?" Lilia asked in a joking tone.

The man's cold expression melted away and Jean smiled faintly when he heard her joke, "Is your business finished?"

Lilia nodded, her face filled with pride, "Yep, the case is over. The student and her parents will not cause any more problems."

"Then get in the car." Jean opened the car's door for her.

Lilia walked in and sat down beside Jean. The woman acted as if she was the owner of the car. As soon as the car's door closed, Kenny started driving the car.

Lilia glanced at the man beside her. Why would the president of the biggest real estate company in town just come to pick her up? Didn't he have other, more important pursuits?

"Jean, did something happen? Shouldn't you be in the office right now?" Lilia asked carefully.
