บท 139: ~vacation~

"Mom, we're home!" Qiao Xin seemed to have entered the house, followed by Xiao Long, who had just laid the firewood with his uncle. Sweat covered his body, and even his white face looked flushed. He entered and was greeted with a strange look by his mother-in-law. Xiao Long himself didn't know why his mother-in-law looked at him like that, but he didn't think much of it. Xiao Long was very tired and thirsty right now. Drinking a glass of mineral water was far better than all the thoughts that had been plaguing his brain earlier.

Qiao Xin's mother looked at Xiao Long with a probing gaze, then she took a deep breath, walked to the kitchen, and fetched mineral water for her son-in-law.

"Are you really tired, Xiao Long?" asked Qiao Xin's mother then. Xiao Long, who took the drink, immediately drank it until it was gone. He again wiped the sweat that kept flooding his body.
