บท 139: BURST TIRES

At a rooftop garden in New York, Monica had just completed signing a contract with a fashion brand, agreeing to become their global ambassador.

"Thanks so much for your cooperation, Ms. Smith," one of the brands' co-founders uttered as she stretched her hand for a handshake and she wore a friendly smile on her face.

Monica returned the smile as she shook the co-founder's hands and replied, "It's my pleasure, Mrs. Kent. I am looking forward to working with you".

Once they said their byes in the European style of kissing each other on the cheek, the co-founder and his team left the rooftop. Immediately, Monica reached down to her legs and quickly took off her heels before releasing a sigh afterward, as if a heavy burden had been removed from her shoulder. She leaned her back on the soft cushioned chair she was sitting on and closed her eyes to relax them before opening them a second later.
