บท 82: Objects of Misfortune (3)

Xander wasn't a stranger to cryptic rhymes and twisted prophecies, and it didn't take him long to uncover the meaning behind those ominous verses.

Even before he had set foot inside this Dreamscape, Xander knew he was likely to encounter Water Nymphs. And the words which had just flashed before his eyes confirmed it.

Though most Water Nymphs found in different Dreamscapes were harmless entities, Xander was sure that wasn't going to be the case inside a Death Dream. And the presence of four different Objects of Misfortune was a perfect indication of how twisted things were in this tragic Dreamscape.

Xander didn't have to wait too long for his first Ethereal encounter.

As he turned around and fixed his gaze on the tumultuous sea, its frothy white waves roared and crashed onto the boulders scattered along the shore. The water rippled as the sea swelled and surged, changing from frothy white to a sobering azure.
