บท 111: Playing Games

The rest of Alex's day was uneventful. He spent some of it in the recreation room, playing cards with Rel'Tir in the most outrageous game ever. The game consisted of making a pile of cards until a player could draw a sequence stated by a third player. They called it 'Trickster'. One player would declare a sentence, and they would have to try to understand which cards were correct and in what order.

The cards depicted elves, dwarves, monsters—some Alex knew and some he didn't—queens, kings, and several different landscapes. Trying to figure out what the prisoners were conceiving with their words was a hard deed. Some of them were quite poetic and incomprehensible, while others just screamed, "The Empress's Pussy!" Alex had found the cards of the empress and one of a black cat first and was the winner of that round.
