This story takes place directly after the end of season three of the hit TV series Anne with an E. Anne is studying to be a teacher at Queens College with her best friend Dianna. Gilbert is attending the University of Toronto, pursuing his dream of becoming a doctor. This story continues the heartwarming romance that we see bloom at the end of season three between the two characters. I'm absolutely obsessed with Anne with an E and this book is the perfect addition. I was so upset when the series ended before we could see more of Anne and Gilbert together as a couple, and I was so excited to see that someone was going to expand on their relationship. I have read so many Shirbert fanfictions, but none as good as this one. The author really captures the essence of all the characters making a seamless addition to both the series and the books. One hundred percent recommendation. Must read!
