Bella pov 

The Hidden Door

Mondays were supposed to be ordinary, but this one felt different. The air in the Asher estate was heavy, almost foreboding, but I shrugged it off. Maybe it was just my mind playing tricks on me after everything that had happened recently.  

Sam hadn't come down for breakfast, and with his health still not at its best, I decided to take matters into my own hands.  

I walked into the kitchen where the maids were busy preparing meals.  

"Good morning," I greeted with a soft smile.  

The two women turned, surprised. One of them hesitated before responding, "Good morning, Miss Bella. Is there something you need?"  

I glanced at the food they were making and then back at them. "I'd like to cook something for Sam. Can you help me find what I need?"  

They exchanged looks. "Miss Bella, we can handle it. You shouldn't—"  

"I insist," I interrupted, already rolling up my sleeves. "It's important."
