Irmilla spent her share of nights sleeping in barns, under trees and even in open fields. All this experience gave her, though, was only a finer appreciation for the comforts of civilization.
Which she and her travel companions didn't have now. After leaving the town and its assassins behind them, they stopped to give pegasuses rest in the middle of a forest. The leaves of the trees were as red as the setting sun—it was especially beautiful from the back of a pegasus.
The landing place wasn't for the sake of stealth—with Irmilla's blood in their enemy's hands, she knew they would track them easily. It was merely the most direct route towards their target.
