Tarek didn't hesitate in accepting Niko's guidance. The spectral turtle craned its neck and rowed its flippers. It moved through the turbulent, murky waters with an ease of a well-oiled fish.

Then Niko suddenly pointed to the side. The turtle dashed there, and a moment later, a massive tentacle swung through the sea where the turtle just was. The movement of water, pushed to the side by the swing, propelled the turtle forward towards its destination.

And Cael finished a Greater Exsanguination spell, pulling some blood through the tentacle's thin skin and gentle suckers. Less than he could if it had an open wound, but still enough to add another ten percent to his upgrade's progress bar.

The blood entered the turtle through its opened mouth, where Cael consumed it under Myrna's astonished gaze.

She caught Cael's glance, flinched, and closed her eyes again.
