William cautiously approached Christine, his heart beating rapidly in his chest. He couldn't believe she was sitting in front of him after months of searching for her. As he sat down, he couldn't help but stare at her captivating beauty.
There's no mistake, she's the same woman.
Christine had been lost in thought, planning her strategy to seduce the Crown Prince and obtain his war plans. She turned her head when she heard a voice, and a sweet smile graced her lips.
She couldn't help it when she saw such delicious food… ahem, the human she had to seduce.
Honestly, Christine admitted that the food that turned out to be the Crown Prince was very handsome and attracted her, but not in a sexual way.
It was more like food that was so beautiful that it was such a shame to eat it, but when you did eat it, it would definitely taste really good.
"I heard you keep looking for me?" Christine said with a challenging tone.
Christine had been thinking hard about how she should seduce the human so he would tell her of his war plans, and thanks to her genius, she had come up with a brilliant idea.
William's eyes widened in surprise at the brazen attitude of the woman sitting in front of him. He had met countless women before, both noble and commoner, but never had one dared to speak to him with such defiance.
The woman seemed completely unafraid, and her boldness only piqued William's curiosity further. He couldn't help but admire her courage, even if it was directed towards him.
As he looked at her, he couldn't help but notice the way her chin was lifted high, her black eyes flashing with determination.
William found himself drawn to her, wanting to know more about this fascinating woman with such unyielding confidence.
"Yes, I have been searching for you," William replied calmly, his eyes fixed on her face. "You entered my room, after all. Now tell me who you really are."
William really didn't want to mince words and play mind games with the woman. He just wanted the truth, and he hoped that woman would tell him.
"I'm Christine, a passer-by." Christine answered nonchalantly, trying to play it cool.
The woman's casual answer made William raised an eyebrow in disbelief.
It seemed he was too naive to think the woman who spoke to him in such a bold tone would directly answer his question honestly.
Although William praised the woman a little, she tried not to lie to him by saying that she was just a passer-by.
Wait a minute! Could that be her plan to make him let his guard down?
Is her name even Christine?
"Since you've spread my face everywhere, you have to take responsibility!" Christine said, flashing him a sweet smile.
William immediately snapped back from his reverie when he heard what the woman said.
What did she just say?
"Responsibility? What do you mean?" William asked with a confused expression on his face.
He had indeed spread the woman's face everywhere. William admits it. However, what kind of responsibility did that woman want?
Did the woman want him to tell his men to take down the leaflet that had her face on it?
William can do just that. It's easy.
Or… that woman wanted to ask for compensation for the losses she had suffered?
Well… William thinks he can do that too. He has a lot of money.
Apparently, that's the responsibility that the woman wants. She wants to be given money.
Now William wondered how much the woman would ask for.
From her appearance, the woman looks like a commoner. Maybe she will ask for quite a lot of money…
"Marry me!"
As Christine was contemplating what she should do to get the human to obey her, Christine suddenly thought of her father again.
Her father did comply when she was being cute, but no matter how cute she was, if her mother disapproved of it, her father would do as her mother said. Her mother always overruled him
If she wants to ensure that William obeys her, marrying him may be the best option, just as her father obeyed her mother.
Even though Christine had no desire to get married right away, as she wanted to enjoy her freedom, she regretted that she had to marry her food.
But what can she do? This was the only way the human would listen to her and let her know about their war plans.
Meanwhile, Christine assumed that William would be pleased by her proposal. But it seems she's completely wrong!
William's eyes jolted when he heard that.
What did that woman just say?
Did he hear it wrong? That woman just asked him to marry her, right?
Is she kidding him?
However, seeing the woman's serious and defiant facial expression, William firmly believed that she meant what she had just said.
Bold!
This woman is too bold!
It seemed William had underestimated the woman too much.
"Then why do you think I will marry you?" asked William, frowning not believing that a woman would have the courage to ask him to marry her.
His expression was cold and his tone dismissive. It was as if he wanted to make Christine understand that this was not the time for jokes like that, and that she should know her place.
"Because…." Christine did not immediately continue her words. She glanced at William, who was glaring at her with an intense look.
However, Christine wasn't afraid of that one bit.
Perhaps it was because she had dealt with Cassius, a far more sinister individual, that she was not intimidated by William. Or maybe it was simply because he was her food.
Well ... he also looks more handsome with a sharp gaze like that.
"I'm beautiful, cute, and sexy," Christine answered, punctuating each word with a different pose.
For beautiful, she smiled sweetly, her eyes sparkling with an otherworldly radiance.
For cute, she held her cheeks and batted her eyelashes at him, a mischievous glint in her eye.
And for sexy, she gave him a sultry look, her lips parted slightly as she stared at him with a hint of seduction.
As a vampire, Christine had always been fascinated by human behavior, and she had spent countless hours studying their mannerisms and expressions. She knew how to play the game, how to make a man feel desired and wanted.
William, however, was not so easily swayed. He blinked once, then again, before regarding her with a cold, disdainful stare.
"Looks like you're tired so talking nonsense like that," William said, his voice cutting through the silence like a razor blade. And with that, he stood up abruptly, his eyes never leaving hers.
He had finished talking to Christine, and there seemed to be nothing more for them to talk about.
"What? Where do you want to go? Hey! Wait a minute!" said Christine hastily stood up and followed William when she saw him leave after she was so sure that he would agree with her proposal.
But William didn't respond, his gaze fixed straight ahead as he strode purposefully towards the old butler who was waiting for him nearby.
"James, please take Lady Christine to the guest room," William said briefly and then immediately walked past the old man.
James flinched slightly hearing that, then finally nodded obediently then looked at Christine and asked her to follow him.
Christine, who still wanted to follow William, was forced to follow the old man when she saw the old man blocking her and insisting on escorting her to the guest room.
Christine's face looked confused when she saw the human's back which was slowly getting away from her.
She wasn't one hundred percent sure he would immediately agree to marry her. However, she was already acting like that, but the man didn't react at all? Not even a smile?
Meanwhile, when he feels that Christine has drifted away. William suddenly stopped and held his chest which had been pounding violently since just now.
That woman… looks so adorable!
Ohh!!
It actually works! xD
