There were other vehicles all along the way.

Adam looked through the rearview mirror on his car window, watching the white sports car that he had left far behind, still accelerating to catch up with him.

He chuckled coldly, savoured in the sight, and slowed the car down. Just as Yuan Yifan was about to get closer, he abruptly whirled the steering wheel around 180 degrees, circled halfway around a black Toyota Camry, crossed it and directly obstructed Yuan Yifan's car.

Qiao Xiaon'an was acutely conscious of the sound of tires scraping the ground. The sharp, shrill noise was hair-raising.

But Adam remained calm and composed. Just as Yuan Yifan was about to hit the Humvee blocking her way, Adam hit the gas again, spun the steering wheel 360 degrees, circled the white sports car, and skilfully avoided the crash.
