บท 44: Siege of Faysummit

~31 October 2006~

"Is it true?"

"Yes, My Lord."

"This is bad."

I look at the report with a frown on my face. This is the report about the movement of the Tepes faction. One of Carol's men says that a massive army consisting of undead and vampires begin to move toward Faysummit and they will arrive tonight. I look at the clock as it shows that right now, it is 3 PM, and if the scout we sent is correct, then the army will arrive at 8 PM. We only have five hours to prepare before they come here.

"Carol, I want you and your people to support us from above. It's time to test our new equipment."

"Yes, My Lord"

"Good. Medea, I want you to distribute our potion for our man. After that, I want you to lead our magician force."

"Yes, Master"

"Mordred, I want you to lead our warriors in the front. You can divide your force with Thakrol and Elluin. I will leave the frontline in your hand."

"Leave it to me!"

"Amelia, I want you to spread some of your mosquitoes to our man. Heal the one that needs your attention, and I want the rest of your mosquito to kill the leader of the army that will come here."

"Kushina, lead your squad to wreak havoc in our enemy backline. I also want you to scout our enemy movement. Create as much trap as you guys can before they arrive. Could you do it right now?"

*Flavius Tepes POV*

Ahhhh, what a beautiful sight. I look down on the undead that keeps marching through the forest. Behind me is a flock of thousand upon thousand of bats flying in the sky, covering it and darken the sky. This will be the day I, Flavius Tepes, conquer the unclaimed land of Romania. It's been too long since a filthy human governs that land; this will be the day that land will belong to the Tepes clan.

We continue to march through the dense forest. However, as we march, I hear an explosion happening beneath me.

*BOOM* *BOOM*

I look down and see a chain of explosions happening beneath me and killing many of our undead. The collection of undead we had since a few hundred years ago begins to get killed one by one. With a flick of my finger, a barrier appears surrounding the undead as we keep our pace. To my annoyance, the explosion kept happening for every fifty meters. Not only that, but we also get attacked by unknown men from unknown directions. I try to use my magic senses, but to my surprise, I can't find them.

*Tink*

I block the incoming projectile from our west side. However, before I could order my men to spread out, we got attacked from all directions simultaneously. Instead of throwing weapons like before, this time they are using spells.

"Hmph. Useless"

I raise my hand and create a magic circle that blocks the incoming spell. I can see my men also do the same thing. I continue to maintain the barrier around me as the enemy continues to fire spell after spell. To my annoyance, they didn't stop even for a second, and I never thought they had a magician that had a massive reserve in their army that was able to fire spell after spell.

After a few minutes of bombardment, the attack is stopped. I look around and see there is no more attack coming from the magician. However, before I could order to search for our enemy, one of my men appeared before me and said.

"Lord Flavius! Look!"

I look down and see a quarter of the undead is gone. That bast*rd. That attack is not to kill us but to eliminate our undead as much as they can.

"Order all of our force to move at full speed. We almost reached our destination!"

We continue to move through the forest at full speed. For an hour, we continue to march through the land while ignoring an explosion that keeps happening. My man and I keep using our magic to shield our army, it should be draining our magic by now, but thanks to the upgrade Lord Rizevim gave to us, our magic is increasing tremendously. I can use this barrier for a few years and will not run out of magic.

After an hour walking through a death trap, we arrive in the clearing and see a massive wall in front of us. On top of the wall are troops holding many ranged weapons, either a gun or a bow. There are also many troops in front of the gate holding up their weapons as they are ready to fight. However, what caught my attention is a rare race that I thought was already extinct: an Elves and A Dwarves.

Ohhhhh~ it Looks like our war spoil will be bigger than I previously thought it would be. An Elf is known for their eternal beauty and their mastery over magic. A Dwarf master of crafting and smithing. All of them reside in one place, Ah~ I can't wait to take them as my slave.

I look at the city in front of me and shout to all my troops.

"Attack!"

This will be the battle that brings Tepes Clan the glory it should have in the past. This will be the victory that makes the Tepes clan feared throughout the world. This is the stepping stone the Tepes Clan needs to conquer the world, and the one that leads them is me, Flavius Tepes, The Lord of Tepes Clan.

And I will claim the title of Dracula, The king of all Vampire.
