Declan called a cab and gave the driver her address. The moment Fiona left, he moved back into his apartment to get the alcohol he needed so badly. It was the first time in a long while that something not work-related had bothered him. He knew the next day was going to be long. Whatever paparazzi Fiona had hired would portray them as the perfect couple, and there would be numerous interview requests.
What he didn't understand was why Fiona was willing to do all the things she had refused when they were dating. When Declan had suggested going public back then, she had strongly opposed it. She mentioned that it would affect her career and she might lose some gigs if anyone found out about their relationship. Yet, now that they were no longer together, she wanted to announce to the world that they were still together.
He sighed and dropped onto his bed. He picked up his phone and sent a message to Mia.
"How are you doing?"
