บท 11: Chapter 11: Adventurer Guild
It was noon when two individuals walked out of the central office with dejected faces, with gray lines on top of their heads, John with his hunched back and lowered head muttered:
"Damn, what a kingdom of capitalists, we need to pay one silver coin for the two of us" he covered his forehead with his left palm while he signed.
Meanwhile Muwi was all deflated with a depressing aura around him, he never regarded money as something important because he never really walked inside a city and only followed stealthy the merchants and adventurers while gathering information.
So he really never needed to buy anything.
John shook his head and straightened his back, with a struggle, he walked towards the city gates while saying to Muwi: "Who cares, i can always mine and get every ore i need."
Muwi nodded but then remembered something: "John, why don't we go and register to the Adventurer Guild? we can make money while mining."
John nodded while adding: "Yeah i thought about it but after what happened at the central office, i will not be surprised to discover that we will need to pay to become adventurers."
Muwi nodded in understanding: "It makes sense so it all comes to money at the end, how about we rob a noble?" He proposed with a cunning smirk, John smiled sinisterly and responded:
"Heh, we will Muwi... We will. But i need to prepare first, and gather intelligence about the nobles on this city, i wouldn't want to rob an innocent one." The two looked at each other and burst into laughter.
"Bruhhhahahahah as if good nobles exist hahaha" Muwi was dying of laughter while John removed some tears from his eyes: "Yeah, i just want to prepare since we might encounter someone strong."

The two walked back to the city gate, since it was the one closest to them, on Cona city there are four gates on the classic four cordinates.
North, East, West and South.
They entered the city from the West gate since te city is on the East of where they fought the ant.
"Wait!" John stopped and exclaimed: "We have the fucking ant loot! We can sell something!' Muwi eyes widened in realization at this.
The two fools completely forgot!

Suddenly their faces morphed into fanatical smiles: "Moneyyyyy...." John said with obsession while Muwi tail moved frantically.
So with the new situation the two asked a random cat folk woman about the direction for the Adventurer guild, but with their fanatical and weird faces the woman frowned and distanced herself.
'Nahh, these two are weird as fuck' the woman thought while turning around and sprinting away, her action stunned the two weirdos who looked at each other.
Well, John needed to look up since that shameless fox was on top of his head: "I think we need to calm down." The miwu nodded.
....
After asking at another passerby with a more normal approach, the two got to know that the Adventurer guild was near the central office.
So the two turned back and walked all the way to the central office again, but this time they took a right turn and directed themselves towards the Adventurer Guild.
The building was big, and really packed, there were hundreds of people going in and out continuously, and by looking around, the two understood that the entire street was of the guild, the big building is where people register and take the quests.
John looked at an armored Dwarf and asked: "Yo, can you tell me where i can sell my loot?" The Dwarf male stopped and looked up to John and Muwi, he responded with a deep voice and impatient tone: "Go and ask another person, don't you see I'm busy?"
John frowned and rebuked: "Man, i only asked a question no need to be a little bitch about it." The Dwarf frowned and asked: "What did you just call me?" His face darkened full of veins while he reached behind his back to grab the big hammer behind.
John looked at him deep in the eyes and answered: "Did i stutter?" Even though they were talking to each other, the other people nearby are mostly adventurers so their hearing is may times higher than a normal person.
So they heard everything and this gathered curiosity so a circle begun to form around the three, while the Dwarf after hearing John reply removed the hammer and pointed it towards John declaring: "I challenge you."
At the mention of those words the crowd cheered with a loud cry that travelled for the entire street: "Yahahaha i bet on the Dwarf to win!" A humanoid cobold laughed while immediately betting on the Dwarf.
After one, everyone soon followed suit so the guild staff walked out of the building and begun to walk towards the Adventurer arena.
The Dwarf glared at John and followed the others, Muwi smirked and asked: "Did you did it on purpose?" John smirked and responded: "Fuck yeah, i hoped this would happen, so i have an excuse to milk him dry." The two looked at each other with sinister smiles and soon followed the crowd.
Everyone walked to the Adventurer arena and many immediately ran to the office of the guild to place their bets, John walked towards them and asked some questions.
After five minutes of asking around he understood how everything works on the arena.
The Adventurer arena is where disputes are deal with, if two or more individuals have some animosity or just want to compete, they can do that without breaking the law and endangering civilians.
While the others can place various bets but the most used ones are about who wins and how much time the battle will last.
Then the money will be distributed to the winners, the fighters will take 30%, the guild 10% while the rest will be divided by the others.
"I bet on the Dwarf!"
"I on the Human, he looks confident."
"He is also handsome~"
Hearing the loud discussion around, John shook his head while walking on the open space where he will fight while Muwi jumped from his head and landed on a chair, near some women.
"Ohhh how cute~" the women begun to go crazy by the cuteness of Muwi who glared at them, but they were adventurers so they didn't feel threatened by a simple face expression, so the poor Biwu got kidnapped.
But by seeing his face it didn't seem that he was complaining.

John stood on the middle of the arena with his opponent in front of him, as the crowd was all around seated while shouting.
He looked at the Dwarf that wore his armor while his poor ass was with simple clothes: "Today i will make you eat back your insolence kid." The Dwarf said while looking at John.
While John smiled and responded: "No one is more skilled than me in battle." His words were heard by everyone who widened their eyes.
Not many dared to say those words.
