Chapter 105: The Gamer Vs. All Might
~Third POV~
[UA Highschool, Gym Gamma, Japan]
With the rest of Class 1-A having made progress in making their Ultimate Moves they've been given a small break to witness their Class Rep fight against All Might. Some had nervous looks in their eyes while Shoto and Bakugo on the other hand looked interested in seeing the results.
The first to voice their concern was Ochaco as she innocently said, watching a screen pop up in front of them, "Are you sure that Ren is gonna be fine facing All Might Aizawa-Sensei? I mean…"
Understanding her concerns, Aizawa bluntly said in a stoic tone, eyeing the match with curious interest, "Probably not. But from what I've gathered, Ren never had a reason to go all out. When he teamed up with All Might, he was squandering his potential if he always backed down. It's about time he put his all in a match to demonstrate where he needs to improve or what he lacks."
Listening to his words, the students paused, considering their teacher's words. Throughout their time at UA, they never once saw their Class Rep go 'all out' before or showcase his capabilities.
In such rare events, he could defeat only when he used his abilities and mind to turn the tide in his favor against opponents. But Momo soon muttered out loud, considering the possibility as she voiced some of her classmate's thoughts in a curious tone, "… But not this time… This time, his forced into a situation where he must go to Plus Ultra to test his limits. And with him always being wary of his strikes, Ren-san hasn't truly showcased his capabilities to the fullest… or even if we think about it."
Shoto was the first to agree as he looked at the screen curiously, recalling his match against All Might during the Final Exams stoically, "Right. Even under stressful situations, the Class Rep always had a plan involving us in the works to turn the tides. But this time, his wits alone won't be enough. He must truly go Plus Ultra against All Might since even we had a tough time against him."
Signaling Bakugo, he scoffed as he had his arms crossed, but his eyes were glued to the screen, equally interested in the spar, yelling out loud, "Tch. Fuck off Icy-Hot! But the next time I go after All Might, I won't choke like I did in the Practical. Next time, he'll truly fall to my hands alone!!"
Bakugo, being Bakugo, voiced his resolution while his classmates sighed at him. But Kendo soon spoke up in a curious tone of the match between Master and Student, "Still though it does make one wonder how long All Might had him under his belt. I mean, he must have trained under him for a few years, right?"
But soon, Izuku and a clone of Ren come up with their own decisions as the clone clears that misunderstanding in a neutral tone, "Not really. I straight-up said no to him when he offered a year ago. It's only been less than a year since becoming his protégé I agreed after the USJ Incident to make it official that day."
Eyes widened as they heard the news Aizawa, with a raised eyebrow, asked the two in a stoic tone, "And what exactly are the both of you doing? Doesn't the main body need any help from you?"
Clarifying Aizawa's question, Izuku turned on his data-gathering device he calmly responded, preparing the device, "To gather data, Aizawa-Sensei. This will be important data when creating his Hero Costume to see how durable or strong the suit needs to be from this confrontation. This clone is from the Support Course helping to gather information to prepare his Hero Costume, sir."
Aizawa, listening, merely nodded his head in understanding since the students needed to refine their Hero Costumes when making their Ultimate Moves. Soon, Kirishima spoke up in a stunned tone, "Hold up! You mean you were in the position to be his student a year ago and straight up denied it?!"
The Clone, hearing this, merely shrugged his shoulders as he explained, getting Bakugo to flinch at that incident when it occurred in a neutral tone, "Yup. It happened after I helped Bakugo in the sludge incident. He was so moved by my heroics that he offered on the spot, leaving me stunned. But at the time, I was kind of adjusting to my Quirk awakening, so I didn't think to deny him as I had my problems, and becoming his student seemed like extra baggage at the time."
Class 1-A had their mouth agape at such news, leaving Izuku to wryly grin at such an offer with a strained smile as he sheepishly said, "Wow… I... I can't tell if you were genuinely humble denying that or being a dumbass losing an opportunity that most would agree on the spot…"
The clone merely shrugged his shoulders, not caring about the offer, as he finished setting up the data-gathering device, "Meh. It's my life, and I choose how I live it. But moving on though, I think we should focus on the screen ahead I think they're about to begin soon time for science, Izuku!"
His eyes widened as his attention was now on the screen. It quickly showed the two beginning things as Izuku muttered in a confused tone, tilting his head, "Are… are they doing an arm-wrestling contest…?"

[UA Highschool, Ground Omega, Japan]
Ren is seen sitting at a table in the forest of Ground Omega reading an issue of Ninja of Love genuinely interested till…
*RMBL*
Suddenly, he feels the ground shake and hears a loud noise. He places his novel into his [Sub-Space] and turns around. Toshinori Yagi, or All Might, arrives after leaping into the forest from a nearby place, where he strikes a heroic pose, "Don't worry, I am here!"
Ren gets excited and laughs while posing repeatedly as he then sits down back at the table and places his elbow in the middle, "Ahahaha! You sure don't miss a beat, huh, All Might? Before we begin, how about we see our strengths in a simple game of an arm-wrestling contest!"
*Swooosh*
All Might dashes to the table at super speed and sits down as well, extending his hand in a loud tone, "I accept your challenge!"
*BOOM*
The two grip each other's hands, sending two large shockwaves throughout the area. They then start digging their elbows deep into the table as Ren speaks, activating [Full Cowl], "I can't lose. I have the power of youth on my side!"
All Might grinned as both heroes slowly started standing up as their competition annihilated the table they were sitting at, "You're inspiring, but what you have in youth I have in experience!"
*CRACK*
With the table annihilated, the two then headbutt each other, sending both flying into trees on the opposite sides of the clearing. All Might chuckles heartily, finally starting the match in gusto, "Incredible! Let's take this up a notch!"
Ren responds by taking on his signature combat pose, preparing to test his limits with a sly grin on his face, "Give me your best shot!!"
*Swooosh*
The Symbol of Peace and Ren then charge at each other, with Ren throwing a throwing knife using his [Create] Quirk toward All Might and All Might dodging it. At this point, Ren performs Might Guy's signature flying kick, "Dynamic Entry!"
*BAM*
The kick hits All Might square in the face, stopping All Might mid-step, but All Might is barely fazed as he chuckles lightly, "Nice trick. My turn!"
All Might then spins Ren around, hurls him skywards, and throws one of his signature attacks at a falling Ren in a loud tone, "Texas SMAAAAAASH!"
*VUMM*
*SMASH*
Ren is sent flying, but he recovers with a show of acrobatics and posing upon landing, with [Attract and Repel] Quirk lowering All Might's [Texas Smash] landing. All Might then resumes his attack with [Carolina Smash] in a serious tone, "You can take a hit well, but what are you really made of?"
*SWOOOSH*
*BOOOOM*
Ren ducks under the attack as it causes mass destruction to the forest behind him and then begins repeatedly attacking All Might with a flurry of punches and kicks. This knocks All Might into a tree with enough force to uproot it.
All Might then grabs the tree mid-flight, halts himself, and hurls the tree towards Ren. The tree connects and knocks Ren backward, and All Might is seen jumping toward him as Ren powers up further to match All Might.
*SWOOOSH*
*SMASH*
*BAM*
*SWF*
*ZZZZZ*
The scene shows the battle raging across the forest of Ground Omega, then zooms back into All Might, returning to the ground, with Ren coming down right after. The two then trade blows for a bit before Ren gets the upper hand and knocks All Might back with a powerful blow of a [Knuckle Style].
*VUMM*
*SMASH*
Ren then moves to follow up, but All Might catch the punch, and the fight halts for a moment. Ren gives his opponent a thumbs up and speaks in a confident tone, "Not bad old timer! But this ain't nothing."
*Swoooosh*
Immediately, Ren uses the [Smokescreen] Quirk and flees, leaving All Might surprised as he gets away from him. All Might carefully tried to find Ren through the smokescreen he produced.
Elsewhere, Ren continues strategizing his best plan of action to go against All Might in a serious tone, 'All Might be fucking something alright. Even weakened his pushing me past – he found me!'
Ren's [Instinct] and [Danger Sense] kick in, and he grows wide-eyed, noticing incoming danger. He swiftly gets out of the way as All Might appears in the smoke to throw more swings at him, only barely missing.
Given only a moment, Ren was allowed to attack. Taking a stance, he quickly inhales as he mutters to himself in a serious tone, "[Transmission: Low Gear]."
As he says this, Ren uses [Gearshift], creating the Ultimate Move [Transmission], complete with his body glowing in a blue aqua aura. Ren then decks All Might in the face with an enhanced electric fist and follows up with the [Electro Fist].
*SMASH*
*SWOOOOSH*
*BZZZZZ*
All Might is briefly pinned down by the rain of electricity fist barrage but uses another technique to close the gap in a serious tone, "[New Hampshire Smash]!"
*SWOOOSH*
*SMASH*
As he does this, All Might sends himself flying into Ren, then flips back to his feet to send Ren flying with a mighty uppercut. Ren recovers in midair using [Float] and proceeds to use [Electro Shotgun], to which All Might replies with a barrage of blasts of air.
*Bzzzz*
*SWOOOOSH*
*BOOOM*
The clash of the two attacks resulted in neutral destruction. After a moment, Ren lands as he mutters, getting even more serious, "[Transmission: Second Gear]!"
The blue aura of sweat appears around Ren as he does this. Inhaling deeply for air, Ren rushes forward in a blue blur, catching All Might by surprise and reeling his fist back in preparation for an attack.
*BOOOOM*
Breaking past the speed barrier, leaving a sonic boom, All Might crossed his arms to defend the attack. But he finds the attack left [Blackwhips] on each of them, which Ren pulls away, leaving All Might to crash through many trees.
*Thud*
Landing on top of a cliff, Ren carefully analyzes All Might's condition as he is on guard against All Might. But his eyes narrowed when using [Transparent World], seeing him come out seemingly wounded but nothing too concerning.
Ren's eyes dart toward the cliff he is on as he begins to send a literal cliff right at All Might using [Gearshift]. All Might notice lunging straight at him, yelling out loud, "[Detroooit… SHAAAASH]!!!"
*SMASH*
All Might easily destroy the cliff with a mighty punch as Ren charged up kinetic energy for using [Fa Jin]. Witnessing the destruction, Ren leaps into the real battle using [Fa Jin] to bolster his power as the two begin letting out their true power, a crackle of blue energy shrouded Ren as he muttered in a serious tone, "Alright, let's try this. [Fa Jin] + [Gearshift] = [OVERDRIVE]!!!"
*BOOOOM*
Ren soon launched himself at frightening speed as All Might clashed ahead, reeling his fist against Ren with his fist. Their attacks collided, resulting in a crater forming, destroying the area around them.
Despite the damages shown in Ground Omega, the two locked eyes at each other, both clenching their fist tightly. Both continue to fight on even terms mid-air.
*BAM*
*SMASH*
*SWOOOSH*
*SMASH*
Using [Float], Ren continued to attack in mid-air and forced All Might into the air using [Attract and Repel] to keep his balance off. However, despite the disadvantage, All Might, with his experience, manages the air battle with his physical prowess, punching at him with an air blast in return.
*THUD*
All Might lands to the ground, quickly recovering; All Might zooms toward Ren and punches him across the face, yelling out loud, "[Detroit Smash]!!!"
*SMASH*
Ren forms a [Blackwhip] to pull himself back up, but All Might barges into his back, sending him bouncing into the trees and ground pieces like a pinball before he rolls and crashes through more rubble before coming to a stop.
He had the chance to stand up, puffing out of exhaustion from overusing [Gearshift], wiping the trickling blood leaving his mouth in a stunned tone, "Fuck… if this is you when you're weakened, I hate to see you at your top. Damn…"
*Thud*
Appearing in front of Ren, All Might smirked as he stopped the fight, seeing his protégé wounds in a cheerful tone, "Hahaha! It's best we probably stop, for now, young Yuki. Still, this match told me a lot about what you can do. And the new moves you used. They certainly surprised me, young man."
Ren let out a soft chuckle as he groaned in pain, feeling his bones ache, flinching in an annoyed tone, "Hahaha – ack! Fuck… laughing is a pain. I need a minute to recover. I can feel my bones crack, clashing with you."
All Might laughed a bit nervously, rubbing the back of his head as he said in a shameless tone, "Hahaha… I suppose I should've held back. But at the very least, your progress is astounding, to say the least. Although throwing a cliff at me was a bit much, don't you think?"
Ren couldn't help but roll his eyes but briefly smile, using [Cellular Activation] to recover and heal his body. But more so, he was checking his new Ultimate Moves or skills when battling All Might.

Description: The user rushes toward his opponent and delivers several punches, with each successive punch increasing the speed of [Gearshift] before sending his opponent flying. Each punch of [Transmission] is so fast, that the sound barrier is broken numerous times, causing the punch to be seen before it is heard.
The increase in speed is labeled as "gears," with the gears costing time depending on what number the user is for greater speed:
[Low Gear] is the base speed that is activated upon using [Transmission]. This speed is demonstrated when the user uses [Transmission] on himself. (It doesn't Cost Time since this is the base being 1.2x AGI).
[Second Gear] is double the speed (2x AGI) that is activated upon using [Transmission]. This Gear time costs 2 Sec.
[Third Gear] is tripled the speed (3x AGI) that is activated upon using [Transmission]. This Gear time cost 3 Sec.
[Top Gear] is the final and fastest speed the user can achieve (5x AGI) upon using [Transmission]. This Gear time cost is 5 Sec.

Description: By activating [Gearshift] on himself, the user can propel himself at great speeds toward his opponents to land powerful attacks. This boost in speed and power can be applied to existing Ultimate Moves. [Fa Jin] is also used to give the move greater speed.

Ren sighed… but slyly smirked, creating his Ultimate Moves regarding speed. However, he looked down as he wondered curiously, 'Still, despite that, I can't give a good amount of damage to the guy. Granted, he has more experience than me, but he still didn't go down… damn I need to get better.'
Seeing his protégé recovering, All Might smiled, seeing his expression as he thought in a proud tone, 'That's right, Ren Yuki. Feel that frustration for now and use it to motivate yourself further beyond. You're not ready to face All for One yet, but till then, I'll groom you to become the greatest hero with my time left.'
