South Moon Mountain. A dangerous mountain filled with profound beasts, located at southern outskirts of New Moon City.
As the dark looming clouds sprayed down drops of water from the sky, a white cold mist permeated into the forest. The mountain in the center looked magical, surrounded by a layer of fog.
"Hello, is anyone here?! Please help me! I'm stranded in this unknown forest!"
Xiao Zhe drooped his shoulders gloomily. Checking out his surroundings, he felt lost and confused. "Where the heck am I?"
He recalled that he was involved in an accident. Being run over by a truck, it was the only thing Xiao Zhe could remember before waking up to this forest.
The wind blew carrying a hint of cold, Xiao Zhe shivered. He hugged his own body, helpless as he looked at his wet pair of clothes.
Stranded in a place, rain continuously soaking his body, Xiao Zhe cursed his luck. He had so many questions, but no one to ask. There's also nowhere to stay, all he could do was stand in despair.
Fifty meters away from Xiao Zhe was a yellow-robed woman, gliding across the trees casually. The drops of water evaporated upon contact with her clothes.
Mu Xia, a cultivator of New Moon Profound Palace, surveyed her surroundings. She was on her mission to find a Red Scarlet Wolf, to harvest its Inner Core.
The profound beasts went into hiding because of the terrible weather. Mu Xia furrowed her brows as she complained, "So unlucky!"
As she approached the center of South Moon Mountain, she saw a figure from the distance. It was obviously the dying Xiao Zhe. "What is that guy doing?"
She urged her profound energy to sweep across the figure. Sensing no profound energy reaction, Mu Xia frowned, "A mortal? What is he doing here?"
She hastened her speed, quickly crossing the distance. She jumped from the tree and landed before Xiao Zhe, "Are you courting death? What is a mortal like you doing here?"
Xiao Zhe who had imagined his own death, where he would die of exhaustion and stress, looked at the woman before him. His eyes burst into a ray of happiness, "Thank god. I'm saved..."
He lost all of his strength, slowly falling to the ground. Mu Xia dodged his falling figure, as Xiao Zhe's body collapsed to the ground.
She stared at the young man on the ground, while she lifted up her chins in contemplation, "This... What should I do?"
