Alpha Gabriel narrowed his eyes in suspicion as he addressed his Beta. "Kevin, are you absolutely certain about tracing Victoria near the Moonstone River?" The rage within him bubbled like a pot of boiling oil at the mere mention of her name.

The month-long search had been maddening. Despite torturing and threatening her parents, every lead had turned up a dead end.

In a fit of frustration, he had even come close to murdering her beloved father but had held back at the last second, overcome by an unexpected mercy.

Now, Kevin's revelation about her being closer than ever only fueled the fire of anger that ripped through him, intense and scorching like molten lava coursing through his veins.

Kevin nodded confidently, unwavering. "Yes, Alpha Gabriel. I received information from a reliable source who claimed to have detected Victoria's scent near the Moonstone River."
