บท 150: Chapter 151: Black Widow Kills Iron Man
"What is this place? How did I get here?" Stephen Strange looked around.
"Is it another round of quizzes starting?" Tony Stark said excitedly.
"Stark, do you know where this is? Do you know what's going on?" Stephen Strange asked.
"This is the Answer Space," Tony Stark replied, scanning the figures in the space.
Wow, this time the Answer Space was bustling with activity. Not only were there the familiar faces of Bruce Banner, Steve Rogers, Natasha Romanoff, Clint Barton, and Thor, who had been to the Answer Space before, but there were also three new faces: Stephen Strange, Pietro Maximoff, and Wanda Maximoff. With Tony included, there were nine people here!
This was the largest gathering of people in the Answer Space ever.
"Stark, is this your doing?" Pietro Maximoff stared at Tony Stark.
"Oh please, don't blame everything on me." Tony Stark said helplessly, "I would love to do something like this, but I don't have that ability."
"If it wasn't you, then how do you know about this place?" Wanda Maximoff asked.
"That's because we've been here before," Tony Stark said, "Not just me, Captain and Dr. Banner have been here too, along with you two and Dr. Strange the first time."
"Captain?" Wanda Maximoff asked, "You mean the one who looks like Captain America?"
"Steve Rogers," Steve Rogers extended his hand to Wanda Maximoff.
"Wanda Maximoff," Wanda shook Steve Rogers' hand.
"Are you really Captain America?" Pietro Maximoff still had some doubts, "Captain America sacrificed himself for the people of New York 70 years ago; that's something we all know."
"That's because I came back to life; only a few of you know about it," Steve Rogers said.
"Shouldn't we focus on where this place is first?" Stephen Strange asked again, "Stark, you just said this is the Answer Space. What does that mean?"
"Dr. Strange and Maximoff siblings, this is your first time here, let me introduce this magical place to you," Tony Stark said, "In simple terms, in this place, you can see the future and gain magical abilities or something else."
"Just like me, I obtained the Zombie Virus in this Answer Space and can transform into a zombie," Steve Rogers transformed into a zombie in front of them and jumped lightly, leaping ten meters high.
"Are you really Captain America!" Pietro Maximoff was convinced this time. After all, in his knowledge, there were only two superheroes in America: one was Iron Man, whom he hated, and the other was Captain America. The person in front of him leaping ten meters high was clearly a super soldier and looked exactly like Captain America. Who else could it be?
Unfortunately, he didn't know that Captain America was able to jump so high only because of the zombie form, and he couldn't jump that high in his normal form.
"In this place, some future questions will be asked, and if you answer correctly, you will be rewarded," Steve Rogers said, "Whether you answer correctly or not, the future will still be played out."
"Play the future?" Stephen Strange said.
"Yes, play it," Steve Rogers said, "The future here will be shown in the form of videos."
"Showing the future as videos... I don't know if it's crazy to do this or crazier to believe in it," Stephen Strange said.
"Strange, why do you think I found you?" Tony Stark asked, "Was it just to get the bullet fragments from you?"
"Is it because you saw some of my future here?" Stephen Strange became interested, "Could it be that in the future, I become some formidable figure, like you superheroes?"
"It's safe to say you are the most powerful superhero I've ever seen," Tony Stark said, "Strange, you can't even imagine your future."
"And what about us?" Wanda Maximoff asked, "You brought us siblings here, not just to meet Stark, right?"
"Yes, Wanda, in the future, you two are not ordinary people either," Clint Barton said, "You two are extremely powerful superheroes as well."
"We're superheroes too?" Pietro Maximoff asked, "What abilities do we have?"
"It's better if you see it for yourselves," Tony Stark said, "I've recorded the videos from the previous quizzes. You can watch your future selves."
Then Tony Stark began to play those videos one by one.
"Gods do exist, and one day they will lead aliens to invade Earth..."
"A robot named Ultron leads an army of robots to destroy humanity..."
"A purple potato monster named Thanos comes to Earth and defeats Earth's mightiest heroes..."
Those futures left Stephen Strange and the others stunned.
"I'll be such a powerful sorcerer in the future?" Especially Strange, after seeing himself manipulating Loki and Thor, he could hardly believe his eyes.
"Oh my god, I've always had this feeling since I was a kid, thinking that I have extraordinary talents and I'm destined to become the world's savior. Turns out, it's not just a feeling!"
"I can run this fast?" Pietro Maximoff was also amazed when he saw his speedy self.
Damn, I'm such a badass person, and I had no idea!
"Thor, did you talk to your father?" Several newcomers were watching the videos, and Tony Stark couldn't help but ask Thor.
"Yes, I did." Thor smiled brightly, "Father said he's still healthy, and there's still a long time before his death."
"Are you sure he's not just trying to comfort you and deceive you?" Tony Stark asked.
"No, my father is a man of his word; he never lies." Thor said, "He would never deceive me."
"Why do you say he wouldn't deceive you? Didn't Hela deceive you?" Tony Stark said.
"No, my father just didn't tell me." Thor said, "It's not the same as deception."
"Why do I feel like it's just brushing it off?" Steve Rogers asked, "Have you asked Hela about it?"
"My father told me not to worry, and he'll handle Hela." Thor said.
"Why do I feel like he's just being perfunctory?" Tony Stark frowned.
"Stark, you're not qualified to question my father." Thor got a little angry.

The first character to appear was Nick Fury, "I have an idea, to gather a group of..."
"People with exceptional abilities?" Natasha Romanoff completed Nick Fury's sentence, "To form a team even more powerful? I understand, I've heard these words before."
"So you must know the stakes involved." Nick Fury said while driving.
"That's why I'm surprised you're staking the future of the Avengers Initiative on that guy." Natasha pointed outside the window, where Tony Stark, dressed in armor, was sitting on top of a giant donut sculpture eating a donut.
"Stark may be quirky, but he has great potential." Nick Fury still believed in Tony Stark.
"He's got a hangover though." Natasha Romanoff said.
"Have I ever told you about the time I recruited a Russian assassin into my American covert operation team?" Nick Fury said.
"I vaguely remember that." Natasha Romanoff said.
"You should know then that I'm not afraid to take risks." Nick Fury got out of the car and stood under the donut sculpture, calling out, "Sir, I'm going to ask you to come down from the donut."
Then Tony Stark and Nick Fury were sitting in a café. Tony Stark said to Nick Fury, "I told you I don't want to join your secret men's club."
"This plotline seems familiar." Thor couldn't help but say.
"It highly overlaps with a previous plotline; the similarity is more than 90%." Steve Rogers said, "It seems like a new parallel world's plotline again."
"It should be a completely new parallel world." Tony Stark said, "I wonder how this parallel world is different from the ones we've seen before."
"These parallel world videos with significant differences are not unfamiliar to us. We've seen them before. Originally, Captain should have received the serum to become a super soldier, but in one parallel world, he failed to receive it and Peggy Carter did." Bruce Banner speculated, "Based on the previous direction of Captain's parallel world plot, I think here, due to some accident, Nick Fury didn't successfully inform Stark about the method to discover the information his father left behind and invent a new element to cure his palladium poisoning. According to previous Captain's parallel world plot, I assume that here, Nick Fury may have remembered incorrectly or given the wrong clue, leading Tony Stark to accidentally invent a different element, which caused him to mutate and turn into a monster."
"Logically, it makes sense, but it sounds a bit cliché." Stephen Strange said, "If you were a screenwriter, you wouldn't make it in Hollywood."
"Strange, the floor is yours. Come up with something better." Clint Barton said.
The group started a lively discussion, but they couldn't have imagined that the development of the events to come would completely surpass their expectations.
In the video, after a brief conversation between Nick Fury and Tony Stark, Natasha Romanoff appeared, just like before, she approached Tony Stark and injected him in the neck with a needle.
"Oh my god, what did she just do to me?" Tony Stark asked.
"We did something for you just now." Nick Fury explained, "That's lithium dioxide; it can alleviate your symptoms."
"It can't cure it, just alleviate the symptoms." Natasha Romanoff added from the side.
At this moment, Tony Stark suddenly clutched his head, looking painful.
"Stark, are you okay?" Nick Fury asked.
Thud!
Tony Stark's body slumped to the ground, and the coffee in his hand spilled all over.
"Tony! Tony!" Natasha Romanoff ran up and turned Tony Stark's body over, feeling his neck, then looking at Nick Fury, "He's dead."
The video paused at this point, and the question appeared.
"Is Black Widow Natasha Romanoff the one who killed Iron Man Tony Stark?"

"I have to say, the ending of this parallel world is really unexpected," Thor said. "Iron Man just died like that, so cleanly, without any mess."
"Yeah, in our world, Iron Man fought Loki and Thanos, making him one of the most important figures. But in that world, this crucial character just gets taken out so easily," Natasha Romanoff said, "That world is not friendly to Stark."
"It's not friendly to you either, Romanoff," Steve Rogers said, "Regardless, Stark died on the spot after you injected him, and you can't escape that responsibility."
"It's just getting arrested," Natasha Romanoff shrugged it off, "I've gotten used to it a long time ago."
"Do you all think Romanoff is the one who killed Stark?" Thor shared his thoughts, "I think it's very likely. Stark is always fooling around with women, and last time he was even confronted by an old girlfriend during a quiz. In that parallel timeline, maybe Stark started and abandoned Romanoff, and she held a grudge, so she killed him to rid the world of such a womanizer."
"Thor, I don't want to crush your imagination, but it's too impoverished," Tony Stark looked disdainful, "This story you made up is simply clichéd, unappealing. Watch some bootleg DVDs to boost your imagination a bit."
"Though there are no clues, I think it's a conspiracy," Steve Rogers said, "Someone used Romanoff's hand to kill Stark and framed her."
"That person would need to know a lot about Stark and the lithium dioxide to alleviate his symptoms," Bruce Banner said, "They would also know that S.H.I.E.L.D. wouldn't just let Stark suffer from palladium poisoning..." Bruce Banner turned to Tony Stark, "Stark, can you think of who this person might be?"
"How am I supposed to know?" Tony Stark shook his head and then said to Natasha Romanoff, "Romanoff, this question is about the two of us, but since I was already rewarded some lifespan in the last quiz, I'll let you answer this one."
"Sure," Natasha Romanoff didn't refuse, "I choose B!"
[Correct answer! Reward distributed!]
The video continued playing.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
Thunder rumbled in the sky.
Nick Fury and Clint Barton, carrying a bow and arrows, stood together.
There was a hammer on the ground.
"At least we can be sure it's very powerful, not something from our world." Clint Barton held his arm and said, "The electromagnetic, neutron, and life radiation levels are all off the charts."
Boom!
Another thunder echoed in the sky, accompanied by lightning.
"This doesn't sound good at all," Nick Fury said.
"It's been thundering all night," Clint Barton said, "This thing has a temper. Also, no one can lift it; not even Jackson, and he works out regularly."
"Something this powerful will be missed, and someone will come looking for it," Nick Fury said, "We need to pray that this person is on our side."
One has to admit that the Nick Fury of this parallel world was very insightful. Almost as soon as he finished speaking, someone broke in. This person was extremely skilled, making the elite agents look like low-wage security guards in a supermarket.
"Someone is under attack, activate the alarm," Phil Coulson was the first to notice the fallen agents and issued a warning, setting off the camp's alarm.
"Coulson, report," Nick Fury went to the monitoring room, checking the screens, and asked.
"The lockdown has been breached, and multiple agents have been attacked! Also..." At this point, Phil Coulson saw Thor in the midst of the fight, he spoke into the radio, "White male, around 25 years old."

As he said this, a thunderous sound rang from the sky, and under the illumination of lightning, Thor's golden long hair fluttered in the wind, smoother than if he had used a conditioner.
"His hair is exceptionally silky," Phil Coulson quickly supplemented this crucial information.
"What did you say?" Nick Fury almost wanted to swear. "You're emphasizing how silky his hair is to me? What's your point?!"
"I described it accurately, sir," Phil Coulson said, "He's exceptionally handsome."
"Hahaha!" Inside the quiz space, Thor couldn't help but grin. "I never expected that Coulson would understand me the best; he's truly my good friend!" He even shook his head with a smile, "His description of my hair is remarkably accurate."
"It's a shame that such silky hair was eventually cut off by an old weirdo," Tony Stark said, "The scream at that time had a certain rhythm; I still vividly remember it to this day."
"I won't let anyone touch my hair!" Thor said, "That won't happen!"
"May I ask why your hair is so important?" Stephen Strange asked, "In my opinion, your hairstyle is quite ordinary."
"What do you know? Do you know how many people in Asgard imitate my hairstyle?" At this point, Thor recalled that this person in front of him seemed to have reached out for his hair before, and he instinctively took two steps back from Stephen Strange.
"Thor, I really want to see what you look like with your hair cut," Tony Stark said.
"You will never see that," Thor replied.

In the video, Nick Fury didn't waste time talking about Thor's hair. He said, "I need someone to scout from the air. Barton."
"Already on it," Barton lifted into the night sky on a harness, aiming his bow and arrow at Thor on the ground. "He's getting close to the hammer. I can take him out with one shot, boss, just give the order."
"Let's hold off for now. I want to see what happens," Nick Fury said.
Thor successfully reached the hammer, even shaking his hair.
"Coulson's description of his hair is accurate," Clint Barton was also amazed by the soft and flowing hair, "It's really good."
On the ground, Thor extended his hand, attempting to grasp the hammer.
"Fury, time waits for no one," Clint Barton reminded.
"Just wait..."
Swoosh!
Before Nick Fury could finish his sentence, an arrow descended from the sky, hitting Thor's chest, and the man with the exceptionally silky hair fell backward.
"Damn it! Barton!" Nick Fury was furious. "I told you not to shoot!"
"I didn't shoot, it wasn't me," Clint Barton said, looking at Thor's lifeless body below in the rain, "I didn't release the arrow."
"Drop your weapons!" A large group of agents rushed out, aiming their guns at Clint Barton in the night sky.
"I swear I didn't shoot," Clint Barton raised his hands.
The video paused at this point, and a question appeared.
[Was Thor, the God of Thunder, killed by Hawkeye Clint Barton?]

"Thor is dead too," Steve Rogers said, "Both Iron Man and Thor, dead one after another. What on earth happened in that parallel world?"
"In our world, Thor was taken down by an electric gun as soon as he landed. In that parallel world, he was shot dead with a bow and arrow," Tony Stark couldn't help commenting, "I have to say, no matter which world's Thor, he is full of surprises."
"It seems to be related to losing his divine power," Steve Rogers said, "The Thor who lost his power seems similar to us ordinary Earthlings."
"Stark was killed by Romanoff, and Thor was killed by 'me'," Clint Barton said, "It seems like someone in that world is specifically targeting the Avengers."
